it wasn’t like her to kiss someone that was so close to one of her closest friends, audrey, but she couldn’t help herself. her and audrey would always remain friends because it felt better that way. all of her relationships had previously failed. with her friend she didn’t want to lose her again and chose to move past those feelings all those months ago. they were better as close friends anyways and she felt grateful for her. but she pushed away thoughts of audrey as she found herself in close contact with noah.
it was the feeling of comfort from a friend that she needed and the intimacy of a kiss that she really desired. this was different than when she kissed malia the other day, but it wasn’t because malia was a girl. she just couldn’t quite explain it since this was the first time she had ever kissed noah before. as her hands rested against his cheeks she slowly moved them to rest behind his neck only to wrap them around that spot. after a few more seconds passed by she found herself still kissing him
as much as he should have pulled away from the girl, to let her know that things were complicated especially now that he had seen zoe. but there was a part of him that didn’t want to push her away just yet. inhaling deeply through his nose, both of his hands went to reside on her waist as his lips moved slowly against hers.
every moment that passed seemed to move slower than he was use to, then again he was still very new to almost everything that involved a girl. he had only ever had two girlfriend which resulted in both of them dying. so he was nervous about how everything is going.

it wasn’t that emma knew exactly what she was doing, but after what happened at the halloween party and afterwards, she felt more comfortable with herself. kissing her first girl and then believing herself to be aphrodite had changed her. so here she was asking a boy that was one of her friends if she could kiss him. their history didn’t spell romantic or anything, but they had grown closer over the span of nearly two years. when he finally spoke to her though, she felt surprised.
emma had gone into this expecting him to say no to her. she had only wanted to ask him and cross something out of her mind, something she had thought about doing after he arrived in new york. despite their mutual friend and how she knew how audrey used to feel, she had moved past that. it wasn’t too hard for her to move past it when audrey had a new girlfriend in gina and wasn’t in new york with them.
“okay,” she nodded before stepping forward. after that she slowly placed her hands on his cheeks before leaning towards him, placing her lips against his as she began to kiss him.
this definitely what he ever say coming and he was hoping that this would never get back to audrey. he knew that her feelings weren’t like that anymore for emma but he still felt like he was crossing a line. and his lips hand’t even met emma’s yet. he was still starring down at her, almost frozen like. his eyebrows furrowed together as if he was preparing for her to back out. he wasn’t sure why he thought letting himself fall into a deep down-spiral of negative thoughts was a good idea. especially now.
he sucked in a deep breathe as he moved closer to her, meeting her halfway as his hand rested on her hip. he hadn’t even thought about kissing anyone since he lost zoe. in fact he hadn’t thought much of a girl in that way. not that he didn’t find emma attractive--- he did. she was beautiful but she was also the first girl that his best friend loved. so it left him in a very confusing position as his lips felt hers against him. a small smile twitched on the corner of his lip as his hand reached up and rested on her cheek as his other hand pulled her closer by his grip on her waist.

he felt like he was living another life or this was just a very vivid dreamthat he was going to have to wake up from at some point. although, he secretlydidn’t want to wake up from. sucking in a deep breathe, his blue eyes starred down at the blonde girl, his breathe was stuck in his throat. he knew that this wouldn’t be the smartest idea to say yes. he should say no considering she was suppose to be dating stavo who was not only his partner but one of his best friends.
but somewhere deep inside of him, he wanted to kiss her. he wanted to know what her lips felt like. what they tasted like. but it would be wrong and if anyone who knew them would scream in his ear telling him not to. not to takeadvantage of one of his best friends like this. he swallowed the lump that was growing in his throat before he took a step towards the girl, bending his head down enough to allow his lips to brush against her cheek.
❛ as much as i want to, brooke. you’re dating stavo and it wouldn’t be right to take advantage of you. though if you keep staring, i feel like you mightactually make me question my good guy morals. ❜

the second she saw his face, tears were threatening to spill out of her eyes and down her smooth cheeks. zoë clung to the strap of her bag, shaking her head a little. he couldn’t be real, right? what would he be doing here of all places? but then again, what was she doing here? relief began to wash over her then, realising if he were here then he was safe from her killer. whoever it may be. she swallowed nervously before she sat, silent for a while. he looked at her as though she were a ghost. maybe that’s what she was. zoë shook her head and cleared her throat. “n-noah? what… what are you doing here? is everyone else here? are…” she frowned and set her cup down. she chewed her plump lip before she continued. “are you real?”
noah looked at her, his eyebrows pushed together as he tried to fight back everything that he was feeling. he was just starting to try to find peace in the idea of her death which harder than he ever thought. and now he was starring at her. quickly his eyes looked away from her as his hands fell onto his knees, trying to stop the obvious shaking.
❛ vacation. hopefully one that doesn’t end in death. uh emma and brooke are here. audrey was here but she kind of just disappeared. so. i could ask you the same. i--- i saw you.. how are you here, zoe? ❜

she’d been getting better, but that night just HAUNTED her. ever since the first murder, nina patterson, brooke’s world started collapsing around her. she’d changed, her friends changed, everything was different. the party just reminded her that she’d never be safe in her own mind again. memories would always haunt her, trauma would always haunt her.
when the knocking started, brooke jumped, only to sigh slightly when she heard the voice. she immediately got up and pressed her eye to the peep hole. the expression on her face grew sad. she didn’t want to be mad at noah, that’s not at all what she needed right now. yet still, she couldn’t forgive him completely. ❛ what do you want noah?? ❜ she asked through the wooden door. she wasn’t quite ready to open it and face him, her anger, everything.
he knew this was going to come but he wished that she would at least open the door so that he could see her face. but if this was all that he was going to get then he was grateful that she would at least still talk to him. that was a bonus. ❛ i wanted to see you. i wanted to tell you to your face that i’m sorry for scaring you. i didn’t mean it brooke, i’m so sorry. ❜
taking in a deep breathe, he leaned back against her apartment door as his eyes shut slowly. he never once thought that he would be best friends with brooke but now that he was. he hated thinking that she was mad at him. that she wouldn’t talk to him or even look at him.

with norah jones playing in one ear, she tapped her fingers against her leg. zoë waited in line in the coffee shop just watching the different people. everything about her felt… off. she knew why, she just couldn’t think about it without tearing up. she had died. now she was sat in a coffee place in new york. terrified that the lakewood killer would find her once again. once getting her order, zoë moved to a table, clearing her throat to get the other’s attention. “do you mind if i sit here? all the other’s are pretty full…”
noah was so focused on his laptop, trying to find out if anything had been happening in lakewood while his friends and himself seemed to be away. on a much needed vacation of course but that didn’t make his worries, guilt and grief just magically disappear. he sure as hell wished that it did. but it didn’t. at the sound of her voice, his whole body seemed to freeze up. the only control he had was over his eyes as he looked up at her. it couldn’t be right. it had to his head messing with him. he saw her dead body, he had tried to save her but he was too late. he lived with that, or at least he tried to. but the impossible was happening. she was right there, standing in front of him. dryness took over his mouth and throat, causing him an uncomfortable feeling when he tried to speak, so he merely nodded his head as his gaze never fell from her face.

he had been completely taken back by her question. he was left speechless though he wanted to say something. anything would be betterthan just starring at her. it wasn’t that he hadn’t found her attractive, that wasn’t the case. it was the fact that he had just lost zoe, that he was still trying not to let that grief take over him and the fact that his best friend in the whole world use to love emma.
he would never hurt audrey. he didn’t haven’t in him to hurt the one person that he cared the most about. but that didn’t stop the idea of kissingemma from crossing his mind. somewhere along his thoughts he found somesort of courage to speak. but it was more of him stumbling over his own wordsas he shook his head nervously.

ever since that party he couldn’t erase the image of fear in brooke’s eyes when she saw him. he couldn’t shake it. if anything he wished that he could because it was the last thing that he had ever wanted to do. but it happened and he couldn’t forget it. he wasn’t even sure what he was doing standing outside of her apartment because he was so dead set on the idea of her not wanting to see him. but he couldn’t not see her. he had to. he wanted to know that she was okay and safe.
taking in a deep breathe, he did his best to shut off his thoughts as he went to knock against the door. his hand quickly fell back to his side as his eyebrows pushed together, trying to listen in for footsteps. ❛ brooke? please come to the door. ❜ he softly asked, though to him it sounded more like he was desperately begging her.

she hated crying, especially in front of people like noah – her friends. all brooke wanted to do was escape lakewood, escape it all. and not see the GODDAMN mask ever again. she knew he meant no harm – noah wasn’t a bad guy – yet still her blood boiled with rage as tears spilled past her eyes.
TRAUMA. her mind was filled with images, and guilt that seeped into her system and couldn’t escape. that mask was just a reminder of all her errors, her mistakes, her lost loved ones. it should’ve been HER dead, and she knew that. riley died instead of HER, and now she couldn’t help but hate herself for it.

he shook his head as he listened to her, this wasn’t that. god this was far from that. he would never do something like this. it wasn’t like him and he figured that she would know that. that any of his friends would have known that by now. he hated ghostface, he hated the mask. he would never want to have to become the person behind the mask.
but the sad truth was he was the person behind the mask, at least this time. he didn’t know how it happened but he felt all the rage that would make someone go around killing kids for no apparent reason. and he was sure that he looked about as twisted up as he felt. which probably looked terrible.
❛ that’s not it, brooke. i had found a way to deal with my guilt the same night that stavo brought it up! i wouldn’t stay with this thing around me if wanted to and i don’t want to but something HERE isn’t right. ❜

as much as audrey loved laying down & being particularly lazy: she was specifically all riled up due to her new-found abilities. she thought nothing of it right off the bat, thinking that it was something along the lines of pure luck. but if other people seemed to change all in one night then what was stopping her from doing the same ?
a smile filled the young girl’s lips as she sat up, reaching over to her bag that she early slumped off her shoulder. it only took her a few seconds to pull out a smaller velvet bag only to turn the black sack over to dump out all it’s contents. regular dice, three sided dice, twenty sided dice, & everything in between seemed to topple out of the bag.
“ i can think of a number, like really hard, & roll whatever dice & i get the number. don’t you dare go thinking that these dice are loaded either. i checked. ” a short pause as audrey turned to look at noah, sticking her tongue out at him for a hot second, “ please noah. you know what i meant by that. if you think anything else you’re going to get smacked. ”

he looked over at the girl before raising his eyebrow. the idea of more information was sure interesting but he wasn’t sure if it was going to help validate her point that something was wrong. even though he was well aware of the fact that something was wrong. something had been wrong since the night of the halloween party.
sucking in a sharp breathe of air as his eyes darted down the dice before looking back up at his best friend. this was definitely something that he could easily not wrap his head around. then again, he was still trying to wrap his head what was happening to him. that was something he was a little hesitant about telling his friends considering it was something that could easily upset any of them.
❛ are you serious? like voodoo? alright, well you have my attention.❜ he said with a light chuckle. though he began to wonder what caused her to think that she was able to do voodoo and why was it voodoo out of all things? with a small short laugh fell from his lips, he rolled his eyes. he was well aware what the girl meant considering she had gina and he, himself was still in the darkest of grieving when it came to zoe. ❛ you aren’t riley or zoe, i know that you aren’t and won’t be interesting in sleeping with me in that sense. but i don’t mind the company since you’re already here. ❜ he looked over at the girl with a soften smile.
