🎼 Your favorite music to draw to right now?

I like to draw to more upbeat pop music or things along those lines! Something with a catchy beat that I can listen to on repeat without having to think of what to put on next. I like playlists but I am picky about what i want to listen to when drawing and don't like having to break my concentration to skip songs I'm not interested in at that moment.

Not music, but I tend to alternate between repeat songs or watching Survivor in the background lately lol.

📐 Whats your favorite kinds of lines to draw?

I like when I get to draw imperfect lines! Eye symmetry is my nightmare and one of the reasons I take a bit longer on some of my work, so when I don't have to worry about things needing to look a certain way and have freedom, I have a bit more fun!

🐻 Your go-to things to draw when you need comfort?

I usually go to drawing canon warrior cats, usually in a mini style! Its something fun and easy for me to draw, and gives me the satisfaction of finishing a piece without having to put hours into a piece.

🌗 Is night or day better for drawing?

Usually night! I have a tendency, if I’m not working, to sleep in or feel unmotivated earlier in the day. Plus I feel like I need to do work around the house or in the yard.

Plus, later in the day I get to hang out with my friends, and if it’s over Discord, I’m usually drawing during those calls haha 😆

Though my routines have changed since getting medicated for adhd! On my medication days when I’m at my home, I have been drawing more and more during the day! Mostly for commissions and projects, with personal stuff being done later once I feel I’ve been productive enough..

why do you seem to have an endless supply of ideas when I’m struggling to even come up with one😭😭😭

Poses and expressions can be super difficult esp with minis, I really try to give everyone a unique little guy worth every cent they spend!

I recommend compiling a folder or pin board or various pictures of cats, lots of different poses and ways they interact with others, and refer to it when you're stumped! I lost my old folder because I forgot my old pinterest account but have been building up a new one and its a lifesaver..

Which brushes do you use? :p they look so crisp and clean

I switch between a charcoal pen and a more solid pixel pen! If I want something to look more clean and crisp, I always opt to using the pixel pen. It makes a solid line without any sketchy bits, and always make sure to have a sharp taper in the line for better line weight.

For stuff with more texture, I like using the charcoal pen! Its similar in line shape to the pixel pen, but has more texture to it and gives it more of a sketch look. I find it makes lining work easier because its the middle ground between sketches and clean lines, and really satisfying to use.

I really wish I still had the packs I got them from, I've had them for so long now..
