Garden of Sea

I had a dream, I was sailing the sea

And you were there in front of me

I’m not for the talk of dramatic

But that scene was rather cinematic

The sun was setting down on Atlantic

Right out of books of the Romantic

I tried to put my lips on your margins

I was taken right back to the Gardens

Dear April

Dear little April, I love you so

You’re my whole world

I hope you’ll always know.

Dear little April, keep your heart faithful

Don’t let them get you down

Oh, my little angel.

Dear little April, give me a call tonight

‘Cause a lifetime without your voice

Just doesn’t sit quite right.

September 23

Woke up to the scent of wet grass

Could I be dreaming drops on my glass

Faintly, I hear Nature playing it’s cello

My insides turned all shades of yellow

The crunch of leaves awaiting my call

With a smile I answered “Welcome Fall”

Restrains of Time

Books to read

and reread

Films to watch

and rewatch

Poems to write

and reimagine

Feeling the rain on my skin

The snow coating my lashes

Rays of sun kissing my cheeks

Fearing the thunder late at night

Meet of new people

How they talk and laugh

What makes them cry

Their end line dream

My body adjusting to the rhythm

from the music in my ears

How it drowns the noise out

And gently tucks me in

New words to greet

Sound of fresh raw languages

And cultures to encounter

To be hugged by art on walls

The unlimited limited time of time

Restrains one to one life

But I’ll stop by woods a while

For I have-

miles to go before I sleep

Every time I thought of you

I looked up and counted a star

Now I know every constellation unknown

But realized the moon for you is foreign

i’m fully and wholly yours

tear me apart to put me back

take my heart out for detours

hope you give it without a crack

ruin me without the distress

pray to the holy spirits of you

i’ll stand there in my nicest dress

and hope you see me as a true

i’m fully and endlessly yours

but who’s to say you’re mine..

All Januarys are cursed and vile

But I welcome them with love and a smile

Not a year goes by without the reminder of you

Your inconsiderate gift makes me start them blue

Someone might come around and stir the wheel

For now I will wait till time makes me heal

I tried breaking the vicious curse this year

But somehow I made my wounds reappear

January and I are in a long lasting brawl

Until I stop mourning every minor fall

All Januarys are poisoned and heinous

Now I know why it’s named after two faced Janus

wish i never learned to speak

or comprehend the meanings

combined letters to create chaos

a jail made of endless murmurs inside

for maybe my continuous thoughts

would stop eating me alive at night

or perhaps to end the fighting in me

that began the second i knew to breathe

My Amata

I called on you from beyond my amata

For I recalled your hands on my waist

How your touch is lethal

And I dream of dying

My forever amata, this for you

The rose you planted in my hair wilted

Come water it, salt streams aren’t enough

I’ll make us go back to that night

Whisper sweet nothings

And flush my drained skin

My amata, your seat is lonely

Come and keep it company

Feel pity on it and give it warmth

Books speechless since you fled

And empty rooms echoing

“My amata, come back”

Curse of You

I was at the supermarket with mom

She asked me what’s making me blue

My first thought was the shade of you

I was in bed alone with my brain

When I wondered how your eyes were

And how our time passed by in a blur

The rain was pouring down on oceans

I recalled the smell of your perfume

Able to recognize it in a crowded room

When did you become a talented wizard

You’re devouring my mind without pity

Curse of you will be studied in our city

That Night

My lips are stained of that night

The moonlight glossing over them

Taste of you lingering there, untouched

Feeling of silk and warmth on my reds

You said how loved my heart is

And I loved you all, completely

Slow danced to the beat of our love

Promises kept in a gold locket

You kissed me and I was overcome

Your breath made sun shine at night

But nothing feels real anymore

My whole life been waiting for you

Took the time and found worth it

The sky changed colors and order

I read books and music but nothing,

No words would describe the essence,

The smell of this sense, it keeps me up.

Stars looked brighter, like your eyes

My core felt weaker to faint

How are you true and here with me

Is this whole thing a mirage

Will you stay till tomorrow and reminisce

Please wake me up if I’m dreaming.

And if not,

Please never let me sleep again,

For this is nothing like I have dreamt.

Scared

I’m scared but don’t know what from

Fear piling up inside me like laundry

What is there to be terrified of

Is it my own self and what I’d do

Or the world around me and it’s cruelty

Can it be the loneliness catching up

How do I get rid of this burden

I don’t know where it came from

Does everyone have this constant feeling

Always biting your nails for no reason

I am scared and I wish I knew what from

May made me morose and weak

You built me up to feel unique

I don’t enjoy this anymore

You’re not here at my door

Every song reminds me of you

And all that we’ve been through

Do me a favor and leave

Our memories i will retrieve

Melody of Heartbreak

Aroma of heartbreak beaming in the city

No escape from this uninvited emotion

Recalling the sullen feeling wafting near

Blurry minds, teary eyes fill the rooms

Melodies of melting hearts in every ear

When the world was masked in mellow

Urges arise to scent that sulk yet again
