Dean Domino, entertainer, singer... thief... turned instead to where the Courier had come from. Vegas still survived, out there in the Mojave. Its sights, sounds... and casinos, ripe for the taking. So giving the Sierra Madre one last nod and a wink, he set off beyond the Cloud to begin again.

At first, Dog was confused by the ghoul, but soon after he spoke, the beast remembered him. “Dog remember you. Can’t eat you, even if Dog hungry. Dog not see you in long time.”

Oh, thank God, it was the stupid Dog. Dean didn't like the smarter Dog. He was threatening, and that was never a good thing for someone like Dean. So he smiled. "That's right, Fido, Dean not food. Dean friend." He peeked around the massive Nightkin and sighed in relief as he discovered they were alone. Last thing he needed was the frightening Christine coming at him with Vera's pipes.

I should hope so, I was quite famous. [ He shakes the paw just as firmly. It feels weird in his hand, but he just figures his scarred hand feels just as weird in this man's paw. ]

You're, ah.... Hm. [ He glances around the almost bare desert location, their only real landmarks being a few destroyed houses, and the faint illumination of what looked like a flying saucer on a pole in the distance. ] Somewhere in the Mojave. I think. I've never been here.

"Doggie-boy!" Dean marched right up to the Nightkin and clapped him firmly on the meaty shoulder. "Thought I'd never see any of you again after the ol' Madre mishap. Shame we never waited long for that Courier, eh? Eh, I'm sure they made it out. Doesn't matter, a familiar face is a relief, even yours!"

Face still red, she sighed in relief. She smiled almost weakly as he excitedly gripped her hands, biting back the hiss that wanted to rip through her throat as his fingers brushed against her abused flesh. Couldn’t spoil his little ray of sunshine- he just seemed so happy that she was able to remember him. It wasn’t much but at least her memory wasn’t a total waste. Her mind fumbled and failed more often than not it seemed, though she’d been told this wasn’t always so. 

"I’m-" the redhead hesitated, pulling her hands gently away to press her wrists against her thighs. "I’m sorry. You said your name was Dean? Would you- Would you like to go some place with me and talk for a bit? Preferably where we could sit down?" All of a sudden she felt exhausted.

Dean's fingers relaxed, and he made the mistake of glancing down, his eyes meeting her wounds for the first time. It was obvious he saw them, and it was equally obvious that they made him falter for a moment, but for reasons easily assumed, he made no mention to them. He only moved his grip from her wrists to her fingers.

"Yeah. Dean. Dean Domino. Granted, I don't quite look like I did on the posters..." he said softly. "I'd love to. You should be resting, anyway. We could go back to my room at the Tops. Maybe that'll help your memory."
