Disclaimer
I cannot read music, nor can i play any instruments. I made this chart for my own amusement and as a memorization aid for myself. It likely contains errors, under- or overapplies musical concepts. It is given as entertainment for the viewer, and perhaps as an invitation for someone more skilled than me to make an improved, perhaps interactive, edition.
Background
Some time ago, i discovered a libre Android app for an isomorphic music keyboard, named 'Hexiano'. I found isomorphic keyboards simpler than the standard music keyboard layout.
I thought to make a graphic on which i would mark basic music theory concepts, so that i could see them as i play on / with the keyboard. I subsequently found a libre Android app named 'Design overlay' which let me do that.
This chart is the product of that. Its name 'Swansong' refers to it being a mere static image in the age of interactive, either programmed or generative, tools.
