You laugh along to the joke that a girl in your grade is telling to the group of people around you. The laugh is tired, and so is your swaying to the music. You enjoy the party scene, for the most part, and it’s a fun thing for you and Peter to do, but sometimes you mentally check out a little too early. It’s gotten much better since Peter first started bringing you to these parties. You can now actually talk to people as if it’s nothing and occasionally dance. Sometimes, though, you just want to sleep. You try to keep going because getting all dressed up and coming all the way here would be such a waste. Besides, Peter always has fun.
