Anatomical drawings of a skull.
Character Info
Obi doesn’t have flashy powers or a tragic past – he isn’t a demon or an anti-hero. Some people call him a monster, and there is some truth to that. Monsters don’t hide under beds or in closets; those they aren’t real. Monsters are in all of us. Jealousy, anger, hatred – real monsters are human. There is nothing to justify Obi’s actions. He had a loving family, and he had a good start to life. Unfortunately, sometimes that doesn’t matter. Sometimes people are just bad people, and you have to stop making excuses for them. Obi got into fights a lot as a child, and he grew up loving the feeling of blood on his hands. He provoked his peers and lied to his elders, getting by with nothing but his silver tongue and insatiable sadism. Now that Obi is older, he has an outlet. He runs a gang, and they hurt people. What makes Obi so dangerous is that he doesn’t fear for his own life, or have anyone that he cares about. He has nothing to lose, and he has no real motives. He feels untouchable, and so far, he has been.
I am putting far too much thought into the backstory of my villain for the project. It's not even the main point, but I love creative writing. Hmm.
I love using a tablet so much. I have one at home but I am afraid of bringing it in just incase it breaks.
I’m approaching the second half of this term a lot better than I approached the first. Not to say that my method was bad before, but this is my first time working like this. After the long gaps in my education, I needed some time to get into the swing of things. I got all merits last half term, but I’m going to aim to work better now.
The UAL grading system is very intense and rigid, but I believe that I can get distinctions by the end of this school year.
Experimenting with mudbox went a little better today, I suppose. Artwork source: k-kit
My first ever attempt at mud box went horribly, but I like his nose. I am so excited for this project.

In this lesson we started work on line, texture and tone. The last picture is not final by any means. I was brainstorming what could go in my sketchbook.
Dystopia 2 P.2 In this session I used my photomontage to create the design on my city.

I feel like death today, but it's an important day. Last week (or the week before?) we had our 42 day assessments, but this week we have the official ones. I can't afford to be sick, haha. It's parent-teachers tonight, too. That ought to be fun.
Photomontage, from start to finish.
My photomontage is going well! I need to create the road, though. I'll probably stay after college to do it.
