Preparation is the key to survival. Experts say you should be prepared to be self-sufficient for up to 72 hours in case of a natural disaster, or if you are forced to evacuate your home. Be prepared with the tools, knowledge and skills to help you survive if you suddenly find yourself 'off the grid' in these uncertain times. Survival in any situation means adapting to your surroundings and circumstances. Being a handicapped person just means that I have one more thing to factor into my adaptation... nothing more.
My niece at the base of a FROZEN WATERFALL in the Canadian Rockies. She’s carrying her Muskrat Survival patch on her backpack 🤩 Although I’m not with her in person, I am there in spirit. 🤠👍🏼 https://www.instagram.com/p/CpLwjLop-Pz/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
My brother was admiring the wooden EAGLE FEATHER hanging on my backpack, so I carved one for him 🤠👍🏼 #woodcarvings https://www.instagram.com/p/CpLqMGaJnIY/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
I FINALLY built a sheath that I feel suits the Agate crystal stone knife with deer antler handle carved into an eagle’s head 🤠👍🏼💕 THE KNIFE’s handle was carved by Neil Fehr in Manitoba, and the blade was fitted into the handle by Carl Brownell also in Manitoba. I don’t know who knapped the Agate crystal blade. THE SHEATH is from another knife but I’ve added the black fringes on the back and a carved spearhead from Bay of Fundy slate and the medallion is a Haida Eagle from British Columbia. THE PROJECT is mostly a collaboration from Central, Pacific and Atlantic Canada 🇨🇦 #joelynndesign #agatestone #stoneknife https://www.instagram.com/p/CoBG9z5p35K/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

My YouTube statistics for 2022. Definitely not my best year, but hey… the YouTube algorithm is working against me. 🙃🙃 https://www.instagram.com/p/CmKxGbrpou5/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Decisions, decisions… 🤨🧐🤔 I bought myself this necklace because I liked the metal feathers and the overall design. I’ve been wearing it on and off for the past couple of weeks but I can’t seem to get comfortable with something around my neck. It’s also the reason I’ve never been a neck-knife person. The feathers are an important symbol to me (freedom, nature, and the God that created all things). Maybe I’ll end up attaching the feathers to my jacket or a pack. Decisions, decisions… https://www.instagram.com/p/CmCRrvIppxd/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
