Creating guitars from recycled skateboards  by Prisma Guitars

The creations of Nick Pourfard, a 22-year-old young artist, skateboarder, musician and design student, based in San Francisco, who recycles old skateboard decks to create beautiful guitars. Nick Pourfard, whose all guitars are handmade, has just launched his own brand Prisma Guitars, and has already created a bass guitar especially for Steve Harris, bassist of the famous band Iron Maiden.The creations of Nick Pourfard, a 22-year-old young artist, skateboarder, musician and design student, based in San Francisco, who recycles old skateboard decks to create beautiful guitars. Vinyl Art by Daniel Edlen

Arizona-based visual artist Daniel Edlen redefines passion for music by creating art on record players. By paying tribute to vintage and contemporary legends, Edlen combines two crafts with the aid of acrylic paint. To successfully create a portrait of an artist, Edlen prefers to compose an illustration of any musician on obsolete records, although they could be played on the flip side.

Beginning with the Beatles as his first vinyl piece, Edlen’s work has been widely recognized by VH1 and music heavyweights like Lou Reed and George Clinton. Overall the hand-painted portraitures on vinyl are composed with a classical and realistic technique, which accentuates the vintage value of a record player.
