That’s the fifth yawn of the night. You’re really tired and honestly, you want to get some sleep but you know for a fact this is gonna be another restless night. You can’t remember when the last time you had some good sleep. As far as you’re concerned, you never did after your incident that caused you to go deaf. You may be a ghost but your bodily functions are just as much alive as you used to be.

When you started getting really tired, you swear you still see the flashes of purple, and they’re coming from YOUR eyes, this time. Like he’s taking control over you again, and again, and again, and again, and again. You never expect it and you never will. He used it for “good” necessarily so to speak but it still put some effects to your think pan. Chucklevoodoo is not meant to be something to turn on and off from someone’s mind.
You’re only vaguely aware of what he used you. From all the “catnip” you smoked, your previous sweeps were something akin to a blur, but those purple eyes never left. Kurloz wasn’t awful to you, nor made you do anything incriminating or degrading. Just, when you suddenly keep losing track of time and control over your body for something you can hardly remember once you’re back in control, it starts doing some damage to you. You know that honk he made when he made you deaf wasn’t on purpose, and you know vaguely what he saw from what his afterwards sobbing explained. Again, your memories are a blur, as if you’re losing them.
You start dozing off, just a little bit. A little nod here and there but you typically brought yourself back together. You typing is becoming messier and you’re becoming less aware of typos unless you shake yourself awake. But when those moments come where you’ve nodded off completely, you’re always forced awake moments later by the purple eyes and the evil cackling. It’s reoccurring. He chases you and you run. But no matter where you run, those deuce clubs got you and then it was 1 life down, onto the next one. And you did this in your nightmare over and over. Sometimes the more brutal deaths shook you awake. Sometimes it was your own echoing screams that stirred you back into reality. No matter when you slept, night or day, you were always haunted by him. Who “him” was is still unclear to this day.
Sad part is, it’s not over. If you manage to actually pass out due to lack of sleep, the nightmare runs on longer, on replay but with different scenes. The worst one is when you fall asleep and relive going deaf.
You truly can’t remember what life was like when you could hear everyone’s voices. People who aren’t deaf can’t understand how annoying it is that the only thing you can focus on is nothing. Listening to absolutely nothing all the time. It’s a sense taken for granted. When you take a nap with your lover, you never imagine waking up to him screaming, and his screams so loud that they shatter your hearing forever, no way of ever getting fixed. You don’t expect this. You sure didn’t. Sometimes you can swear you can feel the blood coming from your ears again. But no, they’re not. It’s just you, asleep, awoken by your tears rushing down your face and to your ear.
Every night is a reminder. Every night is a jump back to the past that you won’t ever escape. You’re very tired, and you’re very scared. You won’t be getting any sleep anytime soon.
