Preference: Married Before...
âŚtheir reaction to their S/O having a small child from a previous marriage (how they feel about your ex)
A/n: I knowâŚnothing for Locke (pretty much lol). I never paid any attention to his character, so Iâm sorry if his part isâŚweird or just poorly written in general!
He would know about the child before he married you, so there wouldnât be any surprise of their existence. Surprisingly, heâs not terrible with children and would be willing to set time aside every day to talk to them/teach them. His personality is a bit harsh for kids, but he is capable of toning it down (especially if he cares for you) in front of your very young child. When it comes to your ex, there wouldnât be an issue. Tywin thinks too highly of himself to get jealous over someone (who was stupid enough) who had let you go.
Like Tywin, the Lord of the Dreadfort would learn everything about you before you were married so he would know about your young child before any vows were spoken. Surprisingly, he would be pretty good with your kid (we canât have any more Ramsayâs and Domeric seemed to turn out alright so) and would treat them like his own. Of course, his behavior toward your child would also depend on your behavior toward him/the marriage (if youâre cold/resistant, heâll use your child against you, but he wouldnât harm the child). When it comes to your exâŚRoose would have already dealt with them if they were still living when you married Roose.
Petyr would ignore the child unless they had some kind of value to him. Unless Petyr truly cared for you, he wouldnât really bother to be around your toddler and when he is, he would interact very little with them. If he cares about you, truly, he would shower the child in materialistic things and in tutors, ensuring they grow up to be smart and cunning. When it comes to your ex, Petyrâs way with words (and scheming) would make it to where your ex was never a problem in the first place.
He has an instant friendly relationship with your small child/his step child. It surprised you, him, and everyone around the two of you, but no matter how Euron feels for you (which would have to be a great deal if he married you and didnât just keep you as a salt wife) he would adore your child and be the best father he can be (which is very difficult for him in the beginning months/years of your marriage asâŚEuron is Euron). He would kill your ex if they were still alive. Thereâs no question about it. Euron is too possessive (and protective if need be) of what he deems his to let your ex live.
Ramsay would beâŚhe would probably want VERY LITTLE to do with your child, no matter the age. Being so young, your child wouldnât be able to hunt or learn how to torture people, and so Ramsay probably wouldnât see much value/use in them. Even if Ramsay cared for you in his own way, he would probably only be around the child if you were around; otherwise, he would ensure the child had everything they need (clothes, food, shelter, etc) but would probably try to foster them away asap (most likely fueled by Ramsayâs desires to have you all to himself). Like with Euron, Ramsay isnât leaving your ex alive, and if by some miracle he should, Ramsay would bring that ex to the Dreadfort and make him watch Ramsay be your husband and lover and father to your exâs child (cause Ramsay is a little shit like that).
Same as Ramsay, Locke probably wouldnât have much interest in your child (the fact he has an interest in you for more than a âtemporary playthingâ would surprise everyone, you and him included). He wouldnât bring harm to the child, but mostly because he actively tries to avoid them. Before you, he had never really considered being a father and that doesnât change. He sees your child as your child, even if he would give money and protection to your child while theyâre still so young. As for your ex, he really canât be bothered all that much to care about where your ex is and if theyâre still alive. He has you (and your child) and thatâs enough for him.
