So yesterdays post sent me down a spiral

The big long violet section is for outfits that weren’t made to be connected to songs, including outfits designed by fans and put into the game as contest winners (might have missed a few tho) that weren’t made to then connected to songs. Includes any module you can’t see somewhere else. Surprisingly Magician, what often call my favourite module, was not exactly added with miracle paint in mind, but I’m pretty sure the artist intended it to be so. It might have been a thing were songs that didn’t have outfits were specifically requested to have the fans design the modules for them, another example is Gemini’s asymmetric R and L modules I’m pretty sure. Project diva wiki doesn’t have a category for contest winning modules, and not really much info on these apparent contests themselves either :(

This isn’t including mirai modules either so I’ll probably make a second teirlist with the same categories. Adding those on I think it’d be really fun to do polls or tournaments pitting modules in each category. As well as assigning the modules that werent made with songs in mind to songs, maybe both in and out of Diva, but not the ones that are obvious like the ones for miracle paint and cantarella for instance.

Theres some weird stuff here like the outfits for the alt vocals, creative liberties in bandaged heart and cantrace or whatever the Tsumi no name one is called, as well as wherever astray Rin and infinity Miku originally came from, because it was definitely not project diva or specifically tgeir individual two songs and rather other songs by their same producer respectively (for Neru I’m pretty sure it was abstract nonsense, but mostly from a fan PV. And then for cosMo it’s another song in the dead end series or whatever he calls it but idk the timeline for those)

That art for Gehenna I shared yesterday would be in the “character from MV but turned into the vocaloid singing” category

I was wrong about the shake it modules! They should be in the “entirely different outfit to the character featured in the MV” category. Please throw hammers at me.

Also the hello world module used for hello planet was supposed to be in the category above, for songs that didn’t originally have outfits. Plesse throw more hammers at me.

I also want to mention nisoku hokou, which had an official MV come out after the song, but I still counted it in that category since yeah it is official and I think they would have had the time to recreate or reference it in the pdmv but it’s hard to tell. I’m glad they didn’t, I really like it’s pdmv the most. There are probably some other examples like that forgot to mention here!

Next year I can assign all the mirai mikus (and/or perhaps their songs) to the pjsk human units… each unit gets five each… one for each character and a spare… though technically I could already do that since 2020 has two designs but ehhh….

got a very minor mirai spoiler and it’s entirely my fault lol. Couldnt even get to august lol.

On the vocaloid wiki page for unhappy refrain (I’ve joined a knew server and I’m trying to find the perfect song lyrics to put in my profile that explains all my issues without having to explain them, also because my profile needs to be usable an inviting for servers it is really not rn) and jussstttt checked the recent perfosmces with the intention of seeing if it had played this year because like why would it. But it did?

Ig it makes sense it’s Hamamatsu they should play a more popular song in a less frequented location, it’s just like in 2024 with fukuoka, but it specified here it was in the night show? And since I don’t think the daily and nightly performances rotate between locations, but it would be cool as youd end up with like eighteen alternating songs if my calcs are correct, and this is there first time with the crazy added screen visuals so they might be trying to add those to as many different songs as possible which would also be really cool, I’ll think about other rotations they could add to that and post them eventually). I’m very excited for how it’s going to look, and ive heard people saying they expect unhappy refrain to be the wowaka rep in the miku expo Europe instead of world’s end dancehall, which I’d only be a little bit more excited about (where would the extra luka rep be then? El tango? I could hypothesise but I don’t believe it to be so personally). It’s more likely to be one of the funky miku three (kimagure, dream fever and raspberry monster) but I doubt it since I think WED is staying

A Miku in the outfit from the Gehenna visual! I think, at least I’m pretty sure of it. This is gorgeous, maybe I would like to see her in this after all.

I’m trying to think of other examples of a character who isn’t miku in the MV but then miku wear the same outfit then them with the one chahge being her hair to make the character into miku. There’s definitely at least one example in project diva, I’ll have a look and edit this post with it 👍 Also I really really love this art!

I’ve been thinking about a dance for the chorus of electric weekend zone based on kaitos pose in the MV and I’ve only just realised that because if that pose it starts the exact same way the (TikTok?) dance for the chorus of tetoris starts lol

I was thinking of Sekiranun and Hajimete no Koi (hypothetically) both getting remade for magical mirai with their project diva outfits. And that they should be Yuri for that. Summer and Winter Y’know. But then I remembered when songs are made by the same producer I usually interpret them as siblings. But like. Also decomiku yuri exists and I’m pretty sure is cannon. See it usually doesn’t apply to producers who have characters but more often then not deco makes one song per character. I was thinking I could make polls on which producers had songs that are blood (?) related family to eachother and which producers have their song personifications unrelated. But it is Vocaloid, the thing which exists to be up to you and versitile, so I think it depends on what pairing. There maybe should be a “they are the same person” option too. It’d be a fun gimmick blog, but it’s pretty niche and weird, and I would personally struggle to headcannon songs which were created separately by different people with no relation to eachother as siblings, and I don’t feel most people would get that. I do like the idea that they could be adopted siblings or found family though. I’d also have to clarify that voting a pairing as NOT siblings doesn’t automatically mean they’re in love or dating.
