Muyiru and Archie
The swift Mightyena quickly serves Archie the slip of paper, allowing him to read the print that was written on it. Two ales for table four and two plates of fried prawn with cucumber; seemed simple and easy. He began to dish out orders to Pokémon and any cooks left in the kitchen. “Alrighty, Tim, you better figure out how those fryers work quickly, because we need to get some shrimp in there. Pronto!” he exclaimed, grabbing two mugs from the freezer and filling them with the strong ale.
“Alright! Drinks are done!” he called, putting the two mugs on a tray, ready to be picked up and delivered to the table it’s for. The pirate looked to his Crobat, who then was standing on a simple wooden stool and holding a single fryer with both of his main wings. “Cool, you got that. Here’s the shrimp.” he said, pouring a bucket of fresh prawns that were breaded into the basket. The seafood sizzled as it hit the oil, making the pirate smile at his work. Timothy on the other hand, wasn’t entirely sure how to handle these things, constantly checking them to make sure that he wasn’t burning or doing something else wrong to the shellfish. Archie wiped a hand over his brow, grinning. He hadn’t looked back to Tim, so he wasn’t sure of that situation. “Looks like we got this under control.”
He then took notice of the two plates coming to him. Entrees, they looked like. He looked them over, put a few different garnishes and extras on the plates, and then passed the tray to Lily. “How does this look to you, ol’ girl?” he asked her, allowing the bug to look over the plates. The Masquerain nodded at how they looked and looked to Muyiru. Archie smiled. “Looks like we’re doing pretty well~” he said with a cocky grin, knowing that she would appreciate his work. He was lucky that he didn’t have things to do later today, as he usually did, but he was on vacation, so work was never a problem. Lucky him~
Muyiru stops at the large open window near the front counter to observe the newly recruited team functioning more fluidly than her own. She clicks her tongue and grins, placing two new tickets on the counter separating the front and back ends. She reaches for the mugs and gives a quick and competitive command.
"Listen up! Everything's free tonight for all customers unsatisfied with their meals. I thought I'd give you boys an extra challenge since you're doin' so well!" She calmly plays off, hoping the extra condition wouldn't pressure her volunteers. "Not too much to handle?" she winks slyly, pulling the two mugs from the window only after loading the entrees on one arm. The two tickets lay in her wake as she briskly returns to the dining hall:
Two Goldeen Curry Two Magikarp Sashimi Four Pilaf with Fried Udon Four Salted-Oak Ale
Two Magikarp Tempura Two Prawn-Fried Rice Three Rice Porridge One Curry Udon Two Unsweet Tea Two Ginger Beer
The hall continues to buzz as customers and clients, Pokemon trainers and families alike trickle in and out of the establishment. Muyiru somehow manages to host the floor singlehandedly: She delivers the -now-ready orders to their destination, she tenders each satisfied diner's check, she issues menus and tableware for each new guest, she continues to record meal orders in her book while managing a high-spirited demeanor, she explains the evening's specialties to inquisitive guests and she manages to circle back to the kitchen with a beaming grin. She relays each of the remaining orders to the kitchen and finally sighs in relief. "That's everyone...I really hope I don't mess this up..." she ponders, swaying with the few seconds of rest from the dining hall. With a hefty sigh, she turns back to the floor, noting the closing distance between the present and close.
King rounds the southern-most tip of Route 32, where the two paths merge to one. The lonely Pokemon bounces and bobs his way along the path, his destination appearing just over the hill. His gait quickens as his catch of the day beats at his back.
