BEING a lifestyle blogger both on her own website and on YouTube had its perks. Perk one -- double the commission. Perk two -- double the audience. Perk three -- double the room for a creative outlet. If you knew anything about Moonhee, you’d know that the third of that small list was the only thing that mattered to her. She was never in it for the money or for a small slice of fame. Even when she’d only get about five views and a comment if she were lucky, the raven-haired girl truly believed that the content she released was entertaining and helpful. And where there are perks, there are hardships. The struggle for this Wednesday? She was attempting to shoot some photos for her blog without any help. And, to her surprise, shooting self portraits was difficult -- even with a self timer feature on her camera.
In her mind, she envisioned an adorable picture of herself posing with the beautifully made cappuccino in hand, fingers strategically cradling the cup to accentuate her minimalistic silver rings. The photos that were taken courtesy of stacked books and a self timer looked simply unnatural; it was obvious that she needed an actual person to help out. Just as she was getting ready to call her closest friend -- who was definitely busy at schedules and who would definitely scold her -- a familiar face entered the back patio of the cafe she had set up at. With her classic dimpled smile and a mental thank you to the Blogger Gods, Moonhee waved him over.
