When Jonathan mentions "someone else" Nancy makes a face and starts talking about Steve, how he's great but he's never been what she's wanted. She doesn't say there's not another person, she doesn't even think about denying it. She just denies feelings for Steve because she knows that's all Jonathan could think about in that moment.

Jonathan talks about donating Nancys *PINK* sweater because he hated it. Meanwhile Robin's in season 5 playing Pretty in pink, AND NANCY IS SHOWN IN THE CAR AS IT PLAYS. And she explicitly mentions that its a "new one" because NANCY LISTENS TO ROBINS SHOW. REALLY LISTENS. Everyone listens, obviously, but nobody cares about what songs Robin plays (aside from probably Holly), but Nancy knows Robin's songs, she knows this was a new choice from her.

Nancy stares at Jonathan and says she "doesn't know what she wants" anymore. It's delivered in a way where it doesn't sound like she's talking about college or what she wants out of a relationship, shes talking about boys, shes talking about Robin.

ALSO, on another Jancy/Ronance thing, can I talk about this for a moment (you can barely tell but its a google screenshot)

'The first lie' — Nancy doesn't love boys. Her first real "lie" is ever thinking she did.

'The first I love you' — I mean. It's literally a parallel to Robin's coming out scene.

PLUS, this scene is after murray has tried to convince both Nancy and Jonathan that they're in love because they have shared trauma — Nancy never comes to a conclusion of her feelings on her own.
