As far as Galaxite was concerned, she didn’t have many daughters. And even those Matrons with a hundred times as many children as her – they never forgot any of their Gems. How could she forget anyone that she loved so much ? All this time she had felt heartbroken that her girls were gone, but right now, the little pieces of her heart were held together, if just for a moment.
Galaxite laughed right along and gave Red another kiss on the head. This was just unbelievable ! Just like with Pink Diamond’s Spinel, she was sure she’d looked everywhere for her daughter. Yet in her grief, she must have missed something, because here was Red in front of her right here, back in her arms. It had been so long, it was like they were meeting for the first time.
“ Look at you !! Look at you … you’re BACK. Oh, stars, I missed you so much, princess. You look just fine ! We should still celebrate. ”
She pulled away just enough so that she could stroke a hand through Red’s hair.
“ This is quite the occasion, after all. ”
“ Oh, a party ! ”
The Pearl who had been stationed at the door suddenly spoke up, bouncing over and over the two Spinels to hang off of a set of bars that were connected to the ceiling. She grinned at the both of them, swinging back and forth.
“ That’s a regular bang-up idea, My Radiance ! That’d be so much fun ! We could just have it be the three of us ! We haven’t had a party in AGES ! ”
Red still felt a bit saddened, looking away with a fake smile on her lips as her mask showed a very... strange expression as she only felt worse after her matron seemed to stumble on her words when she spoke about looking at her. The pause, the deafening pause was loud enough for her to understand that her Matron wasn’t too...happy to say the least about how she looked. Perhaps it was due to the fact that she had become faded with everything she had gone through.
In a way Red was scared about how her Matron may react to hearing about why she looked the way she did. Everything that the pale gem went through and a part of Red was scared for what her Matron would do after. Part of Red was convinced she’d try to get vengeance, at the same time she might get scolded for having murdered another gem. Those thoughts quickly left her head as the Pearl who had attended to the door moved and spoke up.
“A shindig? Ya haven’t had a ball in a while? Ya really want ta throw a part with just the three of us? Are there...no others....?” Furrowing a brow, surely there had to be other Spinels. There just had to be more, she wasn’t the only one that was made. Knowing for a fact there had to be Pink Diamond’s Spinel still around but had the others really gone?
