My Lady Jane has been cancelled by Prime after just one season!!

This is the most refreshing show I've ever seen, an amazing romantasy drama that I absolutely devoured and was looking forward to doing again with a second season.

I am very sad about all this situation. fans should care and protect and make the idol feel loved and not pressure them to come out of the closet. Kit didn't deserve any of that, nobody deserves that. Seems like you guys missed the whole point of heartstopper. please respect the person's decision, if he wants to come out or keep it to himself is not your problem! you look more like haters than fans.

I cannot fucking believe things have got this bad!! What the actual hell is wrong with people!!??

I've seen a few reactions saying that they wouldn't be surprised if some of the cast walked away or ended up hating being a part of Heartstopper and this points to something I noticed in the most recent zoom interview that Joe and Kit did.

In the original promo run of interviews, the answer to questions about fan reactions to the show was always based around giving fans confidence in themselves and seeing stories about the show helping them come out. AND KIT WAS ALWAYS SO FUCKING PROUD THAT HE DID THAT. That he was able to help queer folks, queer kids be themselves. That their little show could do that.

In the most recent interview though, that same question receives answers through tense smiles about fan reactions to seeing them in Paris and LA, the smiles not once meeting their eyes. It was upsetting to watch and understand the change and worry for them both then. But now this weekend has happened with Joe and Bash and now with Kit and it's got so so much worse than tense smiles on a zoom interview!

I am so angry. So so angry! What will it take for you to relent?? Seriously!? I can think of many awful outcomes that go beyond the cast walking away and if you just THINK for a god damned minute about the possibilities, I'm sure you would too.

So just stop it! Let it stop here which is already further than it ever should have gone!

hey remember when Aled Last said "there's this idea that if you're not straight, you have to tell [people] immediately, like you owe it to them. but you don't. you don't have to do anything until you're ready" and Charlie Spring said "you didn't just force yourself because I'm out already?" and Tara Jones said "don't feel like you have to come out to anyone before you're ready" and Nick Nelson said "I'm not saying I want to have a public announcement, but I want to tell the people who matter" and when Geoff explained that Charlie getting outed was a trauma?
