The more I think about it the more I realize that The Lego Batman movie is a perfect representation of the way that Bruce is mischaracterized frequently by both writers and fans. He detests emotion, he works alone, he refuses to grieve his family normally, he treats others around him like crap, Joker is his "greatest enemy" (arguably should be considered Ra's Al Ghul or Bane but whatever...), constantly angry (aka violent), and inconsiderate to the feelings of those around him, also very full of himself. One of my biggest gripes about comics and comic fanon is the way that Bruce get's treated like he's some major asshole because of the way he's been represented in canon by bad writers who misunderstand his character, they look at the bat, and they look at his origin, and decide that that means he's angry, means that he's violent, means that he beats their justice into them,, etc etc. Whenever Bruce is written like that I always get the sense that they are writing him as a Man before writing him as Bruce. Anyways lego batman is fun because they build on that, they give him vulnerabilities, and depth, and causation that's rooted in his own trauma for why he acts the way he does, it isn't comic accurate batman but it's purposefully poking fun at the bad stuff IMO, that or the person who made it just knew nothing about batman and somehow reverse engineered themselves into this position by assuming that he actually was this stereotype and making fun of it.
