Abstract Smoke Forms Reveal Nature’s Unseen and Quiet Beauty in European Landscapes

Italian photographer Filippo Minelli explores the dynamic silent beauty of nature in series “Silence/Shapes.” He expresses its essence and spirit through the medium of smoke bombs to communicate nature’s visibility through an abstract form. Minelli asserted said conceptual thought in a series of landscape sceneries in Europe.

He glamorizes abandoned European landscapes with a set of vibrant colors, which mimic nature’s temperament. Minelli has given nature, the largest inspirational source of mystery in the world an interpretation.

Here I stand. Here I stand, …well actually, sit.  So here I sit in despair,  pain, broken, and unrepaired.  As life passes,  I can’t help but think of the good times.  Times that I loved.  Times that people were there for me. Times I didn’t feel like dying.  Not the only ones I’ve had already,  but ones I can still make.  So I sit here… crying. You see, sometimes it’s so hard to see the good in life during such a bad time.  So you have to go back to the happy times, because right now you can’t see any.  I find it hard to believe everyone is happy every day.  Some days I can’t even get out of bed.  Instead I lay there wishing it would all end.  But in the end, I’m told it all gets better.  That’s the moment you try to focus on. N ot the crappy, tiring, painful moment that is occurring right this very second?; but the time that you know it’ll get better.  Whether that’s hours, days, weeks, or months.  Because without that revival of happiness, we drift into an endless abyss of sorrow.  We were not made to sit back and waste our lives away.  We are Human Beings.  We were made to do great things.  Invent things.  Cure disease.  End war.  Live life.  So never mind.  Here I Stand Making a stand.  It’s time, as a society, to reach out to people.  We need to be reminded that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.  Life is worth it.  Living is worth it.  You are worth it.  It’s time for culture to turn the bad to good.  It’s time we go out and do great things again. Live life…again.  Love life…again. Like we used to when we were little kids.  Let’s make life worth living…again. So now, Here We Stand… Together.”
