He grins and ups the voltage only to wince and cough up blood, seemed that Ankoku can only use a certain voltage before getting hurt, the ability ceased the electric current and he collapsed, coughing up blood and bleeding from his nose, head and multiple burns covering his body now

He collapsed from the pain, but seeing Ankoku fall too he forced himself to move closer and grab him again.
