Most people look at the world as if everything around them is simply objects. A tree is just a tree. A stone is just a stone. A river is just water.
The shamanic worldview offers a completely different vision. Imagine that everything around you is alive. Not only people and animals. The forest is alive. The river is alive. The mountain is alive. Even a stone carries its own power and its own ancient memory.
Every form of life perceives the world in its own unique way. A bird sees the sky differently from a human. A wolf feels the forest differently from a bird. A tree experiences the flow of time differently from a wolf. And all of this together creates one vast, living web — of which we are also a part.
The problem with modern humanity is that we have grown used to seeing ourselves as the center of the world. Because of this, we take more than we give.
But when you start to perceive nature as a living being, your entire attitude changes. You won’t throw trash into a river if you feel it as alive. You won’t mindlessly break a branch if you understand that in front of you is not just wood, but part of a greater living world.
And the most beautiful part is that this shift changes not only how you relate to nature, but also how you relate to other people. You begin to show more respect, more attention, and a deeper understanding that every person is living their own unique life and playing an important role in this world.
