I Have Failed You

So do you remember I posted about Kmart closing & me and my son going to Dave&Busters that same day, and how I only wanted to spend $20 at Dave&Busters? Well... I spent alot more than I wanted 😭 . Apart from the $67 I spent at Kmart, I spent....i don't even wanna talk about it 😭😭😭... ok, I spent $25 on a gaming card to play arcades, I also spent about another $25 on food. So that was just at Dave&Busters.

After that I needed to pump gas or else I wouldn't had made it home. I pumped like $30. So just on Saturday I spent close to $150!!! 😭😭😭

I had forgotten that this week my phone bill was due and the Walmart credit card ($30 each). And on top of that, they gave me an allowance of $100 to buy new work boots cuz my old ones were super beat up, been wearing them for a year! So this time I bought 4 pairs of boots but it ended up being a total of $135 so I had to put $35 of my own money.

Sadly I did have to transfer $50 from Savings to Checkings. I'm really disappointed in myself. I should've done a bunch different. Times like these make me feel so guilty, for instance;(this is what I tell myself) You spent $50 on food and games, when was the last time you took mom out to eat? 😭 Truth is I don't remember when the last time I took my mom out... Times like these I feel so selfish. Anyway.

I gotta sleep now. But before I go id like to ask you: if I linked a youtube channel to this blog, would you guys watch it? I was thinking of doing that and also changing the name to this blog to something a little more personal. Besides sharing my financial struggles I'd like to share a little more of my personal life. Idk I just feel I gotta tell something to someone that I don't know... ok thanks good night.

Local Kmart is Closing

I messed up. I went to Kmart in search for some thermal pants for my son and came out with 2 outfits, a couple t shirts for him, a flannel (for myself) and a pie face cannon toy since I know I've seen him watching that toy on youtube a bunch. It's a good thing everything is 25-60% off since it's closing. My total spent at Kmart was like $67. Kinda regret it now but not really, I needed another shirt and my son definitely needed clothes.

My son and I are gonna go to Dave&Busters to hang out with some of my friends later on tonight... hopefully I don't spend more than $20

Lol $8 Since Tuesday

Since I got paid last Friday, i knew it was gonna be a rough week. Thankfully I didn't have to pull any money outta my savings. I have enough gas (barely) in my car to make it to the gas station tomorrow morning. Haven't pumped gas since Tuesday but I had it all calculated.

With the left over $8, I was thinking of treat myself to something that I've been saving in my shopping carts online but I don't really need anything except for car parts and I gotta get my son some thermal pants cuz it's been getting cold and he's been wearing sweats under his jeans too school. It might keep him warm but, as a child, I do remember it being really uncomfortable. So I guess I'll just transfer em after I write this.

Why car parts? Well like, I think, I've mentioned before: I own two cars a '96 Honda and a '10 VW. My youngest brother had been driving my VW since, cuz of minor mechanical issues, I'm not able to drive it as much as I need to. So earlier this week he tells me he thinks it's leaking oil, I go take a look and personally it looks a little bit worse than just a leak, so I tell him that he should stop driving it. He's pretty understanding so he does and now it's just been sitting there & might be sitting there for a while till I get it fixed. I'm sorta paranoid so don't really trust strangers to "fix" my cars, I normally do my own research and fix my cars myself... but idk maybe this time I might need "professional help" since I don't have much time these days.

It's Gonna Be An Expensive Week

Good news first. I pumped a full tank of gas & I was able to transfer, last week's left over of, $107 last night.

Bad news now... rent, electricity bill and (as every week) car payment and money for my mom, is all due this week. I feel like the first week of every month is the most expensive. Its ok though, I'll get through it.

I was waiting to reach $700 or get to Feburary to buy a windshield for one of my cars but since I'm closer to $1000 and already in February, I'll wait till I have over $1100 to buy a windshield. Idk why my mind does that, rounds up to the nearest... idk... 1000's or something. Also gotta get a 'Boost Pressure Sensor' for my other car (about $50). I'll Most likely hold off on that till after I get my windshield.

I'll most likely will have to transfer sometime during the week but hopefully not but pretty sure yeah.

That's pretty much it for now.

Just Another Tuesday

So yeah. It's Tuesday. It's 5:27am as I write this waiting for someone to open the warehouse.

RESIDENT EVIL 2 is so awesome! :D I have to admit that, it is the reason I haven't blogged in a few days lol.

I thought of another goal to achieve this year, and that is to raise my credit score. It's not the worst but it's pretty bad. I had to buy a few car parts for my car this passed week so here's what I go so far.

Sold my Dream Car

One of my all time favorite car is a Datsun 280zx. Last year I had the amazing opportunity to get a couple of them! They weren't in the best condition, as the matter of fact, they were pretty much junk but my goal was to work on them for a few years. To be completely honest I only worked on one for maybe a total of a month summer '18. I really didnt have time to work on them, so I decided to sell them. And I did!

It's a bittersweet moment because it was hard to let go of something that I've always dreamt of having but at the same time it's cool that someone else is gonna have the opportunity to actually get them in working condition. I sold them for $400, I know it sounds like it's a little bit, but trust me they were a mess.

The girl I sold them to said it was her dream car too! And her dad seemed to know what he was taking about. Maybe someday I'll get my hand on one in mint condition. She said she'll keep me updated on the progress of the cars. Can't wait!

Anyway, with that extra cash I'm closer to getting the water pump fixed on my VW and fix some other little things on it and my Civic. I also gave my mom $100 and split $50 between my brother and sister. Gonna get my son some pants too cuz that little booger is growing up fast!

Pretty good, pretty good

Im pretty proud so far. So my goal for next month is to have around $700. The reason is; the windshield on my car is cracked so I gotta get a new one. I got someone that can get me a windshield for around $100. So that's why I'm proud lol. Also, all bills paid for this week, pumped a full tank of gas today, still got over $100 in my checkings... it's aaaaaaaaaall good! Im happy! Lol ok that's it for today thanks.

My Mistake

So I kinda messed up. Last week's check (Christmas week check) I missed like 3hrs not 10hrs! Lol sorry. This week's check (New Year's week check) isnt gonna be a full check either cuz New Year's eve wasn't paid.. yeah bummer... So I'm not getting paid for 8hrs.

Again, like last week, I most likely will not be transferring anything to my savings besides the automatic weekly $25.

And about my 2019 goal.. you know how I said that I can save $4000 by the end of the year? I wasn't counting in anything going wrong lol so $4000 is nearly impossible! In reality, by the end of the year, I should have no less than $1200, of course im aiming for more than that. Depending on another goal, that I'll explain in another post, I may be able to save close to $4000 but we'll see.

P.S. Gave my car payment and phone bill payment.

Little Road Trip!

So it was payday last night and as usual $25 transferred over to the savings, and made a car payment ($80) but I didn't transfer the leftover of last check to savings. The reason: paycheck was light due to 10 hours of time off and a couple friends, my bro, my son, and I are taking a little road trip to San Diego to visit another friend!

Electricity bill is due Monday and, like usual, I'm giving my mom $30. I think electricity is $50 but I can't quite remember.

2018 came to an end and It's now 2019! Did you achieve your goals for 2018 & what are you goals for 2019?

To be completely honest I didn't quite achieve a goal I had for 2018. My plan was to have over $1300 in my saving by the end of 2018. But that's ok! $482.04 is better than nothing! Lol. For 2019 I'm gonna continue to do what I'm doing now and if my calculations are correct I should have over $4000 by the end of the year! Either that or hopefully I can pay my car off this year (I'll get a little more in detail on another blog).

So this check was a little lighter due to I didn't get paid for about 3 hours at work, and next week's check is gonna be a little more lighter due to we were able to leave early Friday and im not getting paid for yesterday so it'll be about 10 hours light. I think I can handle it tho.

I pulled out $180 out from my checking: $150 for rent and $30 for my mom. So these $69.76 I have left, are pretty much gonna be gas money.

Yay Payday! Boo Rent!

So I did give another $10 payment for my RezEvil2 preorder. $40 to go. I also was able to get $30 cashback when I went to Target to get deodorant (I just ran out).

I also just remember I gotta pay off my brother's credit card cuz I'm literally the only one using it. $30 minimum payment every 14th I think... I'll have to ask him.

With this next check im gonna have to pay rent $150, and car payment $80... can't wait -_- lol

Back To Work?! :(

I've been off for 4 days and i feel it wasn't long enough! The good thing is that ; I felt today was Monday but it turns out it's Wednesday, so that's good.

Alright, so since Friday I did a little more Christmas shopping, ate out a few days (including chickfila), bought some books (and graphic novels) at this awesome used book store called BookOff, and went to a swapmeet. Oh i pumped gas and did do oil change in my car too. I also had to pay car insurance $100. I probably should've not ate out so much but oh well that's done, I try not to eat out so much.

I was tripping because of how little money i feel I have left over but IT'S WEDNESDAY! payday is tomorrow night, haha. Nothing to worry about. I mostly likely will pull out $30 to give my mom and make another $10 payment for my Resident Evil 2 preorder.

Hopefully you all had a Merry Christmas! Let me know what you're favorite gift you recieved and gave were! I gave my brother a "The Walking Dead"s Negan action figure that he absolutely hates Haha.

End of Week

Didn't do much pssed couple days, just like I wanted. Pumped gas, owe the lunch lady $5, and gave a payment for my resident evil preorder.

This morning I gave a payment for my car of $80 and transferred $112 which was what was left over from this week plus another $25 that automatically transfers to savings.

Been a good week. Still gotta get a couple more presents, and buy oil and filter to do oil change in my car today.

An Average Week

Despite it being the week before Christmas, it's been pretty relaxed. Every week I give my mom $30 just because. There's been weeks where I'm broke and can't find her any money but it's rare. Yesterday I pulled out $30 from my checkings.

I pumped gas yesterday and today, besides that I don't think I've spent any more money, maybe I'll be able to buy more presents before next payday.

I know I said I wasn't gonna but anything off the lunch lady but I forgot to but the variety chips so I owe her $2 so far.

More Christmas Shopping

I withdrew $100 from my savings account today. I bought more Christmas gifts. Along those $100 I had a couple gift cards as a 'bonus' from work. They were worth $75 and I ended up spending about $65 so I still got one gift card with about $10. I also pumped gas using my checkings account, bought a 12 pack of soda and a couple 2 liter sodas because some friends came over to make burgers. Im not done Christmas shopping I still need a couple people but that can wait till next weekend.

Starting Christmas Shopping

Today is the first day I'm shopping for Christmas gifts. My family does Secret Santa every year, so there's that gift everyone is getting but I like to get everyone a little something too. Someone asked for pins, another asked for a book, NASA stuff, Marvel stuff. I asked for a thrift store denim vest.

I pulled out $40 from my checkings, my son my sister and I came to the swapmeet cuz I know for a fact there's a guy that sells pins here.

After the swapmeet, I had $2 left. I went back to the bank and pulled another $5 to go to Little Ceasar's. I had a few cents left over, I put them in my son's money bank.

P.S. Yesterday we went to Denny's after church. Spent like $14
