he was recognizable from the security holos ââ the stormtrooper who had gone rogue and betrayed the first order. a wanted man, the only reason aiya has a quick enough reaction to recognize him, their feet carrying them toward him without a second thought. this isnât either of their time. why was he here? what about him was significant enough to have dragged him here, and who else was with him? âtrooper.â their greeting was cold, calculated behind the helmet on their head. âwhy are you here?â
As if by reflex, Finnâs head turned to look at the voice calling him a title heâd not answered to since he left. Instantly his body tensed and his eyes widened. Fear was evident on his demeanor and in his eyes, but somehow he managed to maintain his composure. âDonât call me that.â He glared as they approached, hands curled into fists at his sides. âWhat is it to you that Iâm here?â
Tired, scared, hungry, vulnerable, etc, Finn was almost at his breaking point. Something on his back seemed to pulsate but it was yet another thing he pushed aside because it was far from the more important uncertainty of his situation. As he passed the words spoken, Finn held pause in his step. Heâd been out of it for a short while so perhaps he didnât hear correctly. âThe Republic?â He asked, eyes lifted to look into the strangers.

THE PAST
originally of the first order, finn has no recollection of his time before his training as a trooper. at a younger age, he showed compassion and wisdom which caused a bit of grief to himself and sometimes those around him. as any stubborn child does, he fought against it, to keep a part of himself even if he were to show what they wanted to see. there were occasions where he couldnât remain silent, however and when he would defend another, both were punished. because of that, finn grew up the majority alone. honing his skills, able to surpass expectations, he quickly became a favorite with superiors but hated among his fellow troopers.
then his decision came. in choosing to not fire, he realized he needed to escape. poe and fn-2187 rescued each other to the planet of jakku where the now finn ran into rey. they also saved each other and made their way through destinyâs weaves until they were upon the starkiller base; a place finn had never seen the outside of until his mission. the rip through space and time, however, wasnât something he was exactly prepared for. becoming lost in the chaos, finn set out to look for rey and poe.
THE PRESENT
the world was still not something he was sure of or comfortable in but somehow, because of his stubbornness, he became able to navigate through the unknown. still searching for those important to him, finn hadnât yet joined the resistance or rebellion but he fought against the darkness because thatâs what he found he was good at. though selfish, his mission was his to find and protect what he cared about. he was scared, is scared. not to mention he is also dealing with uncontrolled and untapped abilities which make him a target.
in search of those he cares about, he also is in search to fight against the dark. finn lived in the dark for so long he knew exactly what it was capable of.
PERSONALITY
finn is headstrong but loyal to a fault. once tuned into himself and understands what he feels, he is fiercely loyal to those he cares for. that being said, when finn does feel, itâs a very strong pull. for someone who has had to control himself and his emotions for as long as he has, finn has held a wall up for so long that when rey and poe pushed it down, feelings mercilessly flooded through. usually he held strong to them, but when it comes to those two, finn is vulnerable. however, heâs also stronger.
