Goodnight Bohol! :) The whole day was a blur but everythingâs worth it. Will surely come back! #work #travel #beefarm #cozyroom #lutang #happykid #nonsensehashtags
So there, I'm a victim of my officemate's craziness. Again. #HappyAprilFoolsDay
Met this man while crossing over the Williamsburg Bridge yesterday. He introduced himself as Circus, The Travelling Magician. He then handed me a Book of Spells. Allow me to share some of the highlights:
The Spell to Make Strangers Wish You âHappy Birthday:â Make a sign that says âItâs My Birthday,â and hang it around your neck.
The Cuddle Inducing Spell: Simply hang up a sign that says âCuddle Zone.â Put a few soft pillows and blankets under it.
Spell to Make Objects Move Through The Air: Make sure there is a nice person in close proximity both to you and the object you desire. Then simply stretch your arm out toward the object and, in less than a minute, it will float magically into your hand.Â
I want this! :3

What I should do next is here. :)
20 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD WRITE A BOOK WHILE IN YOUR 20s.
1. You can. If you write 500 good words per day, you will have 50,000 words in 100 days. Thatâs just over three-monthâs time â Jack Kerouac wrote âOn The Roadâ in three weeks.
2. It will make other goals seem more doable. If you can write a book, then certainly, itâs possible to accomplish other goals if you break them down into small steps.
3. It makes you look like an expert. (Assuming itâs not a memoir or novel.) Once youâve written a book, people assume you know a ton, which allows for a damn delightful consequence.
4. It makes you more valuable. As soon as you have a book in your name, someone is more likely to hire you, pay you more and maybe even love you more. Youâre an author! That sh*tty degree might not get you a job, but I bet a book would do the trick.
5. It actually makes you an expert. In order to write a book, you have to know a lot about something.
6. Youâll learn a ton. Youâll have to study and organize information, which means youâll need to understand it. Thereâs probably no better way to learn about a topic than to write a book about it.
7. It will be easier to get attention. Thereâs no easier way to get on the podcast circuit than to write a book. Itâs weird to say, but there arenât many skills more valuable than getting attention in the attention economy.
8. Youâll help someone. Strangers better our lives by sharing their knowledge through books. You have something worthsaying, too.
9. Itâs a great project to have. Writing a book is a project that makes your whole day more interesting. Everything becomes possible fodder for the pages.
10. You can put âauthorâ next to your name. Itâs worth something. If only becauseâŚ
11. It breaks down your beliefs about âauthors.â Youâre not an outsider anymore; youâre a member of the club. You understand what an author is â a person who writes down words. You know that sometimes, there is a difference between the words and the person.
12. It makes you a better reader. You also gain respect for other writers. You know how weird it feels to write things down for other people to read â especially that sh*tty first draft. You appreciate great pieces of writing more than before.
13. You will become an effective communicator. Itâs more important than ever to be able to express yourself in text. To write a book, you need to be able to build an argument or story in such a way that others can understand you.
14. You will clarify your thoughts. Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon, makes his executives write down proposals to make sure they understand what they want to say.
15. Youâll never regret not writing a book. Do it now so you wonât have regrets when youâre in you 30s and have triplets screaming around the house.
16. Your mom will be proud. Other family members will, too. It doesnât matter if you only sell 10 copies.
17. Youâll get better at typing. You have no reason to suck at typing when so much of life happens on screens.
18. Youâll create a habit of writing. This has been one of the greatest improvements of my life. Writing forces you to think discretely â it can act as a kind of therapy. Half of this list really just reflects the benefits of writing regularly.
19. It will make your days better. If you just write your 500 words for the day, you can feel good that you accomplished something. You made progress toward reaching a goal.
20. When youâre feeling like complete sh*t, you can always say, âI wrote a book.â Itâs proof that you produced something at some point â that you didnât waste your entire life. You worked hard on something, finished it and, by golly, thatâs worth something.
BONUS: You might make some money. (But almost definitely, you wonât.)
If you have even an inkling of an interest in writing your own book, check out my massive guide for writing. There are few commitments that can offer such a great payoff. Do it!

18 Things Youâre Always Better Off Without 1. Communication with family members who drive you mad. 2. Access to old love letters that it kills you to read. 3. Junk food youâre just going to binge on the night you buy it. 4. Putting your energy into maintaining an image of yourself that is dishonest. 5. Desperately trying to achieve any convention of success that you find banal. 6. Dependence even though its comfortable. 7. People who inadvertently curate your mindset about yourself. 8. Partners who donât have the same long term vision for the relationship. 9. Getting too settled into your beliefs that you limit yourself to growth. 10. Another shot at the bar because youâre ânot feeling it yet.â 11. Doling out disingenuous compliments for the sake of reciprocation or just looking like a nice person. 12. Sex that feeds an impulse but is emotionally damaging in the long term. 13. Entertaining those who just want to irrationally argue without resolve. 14. A religion that doesnât suit you even if it disappoints other people. 15. Passivity. 16. Things that come very easily; you never appreciate them as much. 17. Excesses of anything material that you donât need and someone else very well might. 18. Hope for unhealthy things to happen again because youâre attached to them.

Just because.
To RED.
Hi Red,
I kept seeing you this one time I visited his house. It was our monthsary, I was at work and he was at home. We normally do not celebrate monthsaries and I donât know what has gotten into me; I want us to celebrate. So I texted him, asked him if we can meet â he said no, heâs busy and heâs sorry. Since Iâm a hopeless romantic, I decided to surprise him, buy him a cake and visit him after work.
And I did! I was at their door; his two nephews ran towards me and hugged me. Then I saw someone sitting on his bed, using his laptop â a female. He was there cooking when he saw me. I was speechless. I looked from her to him and back to her again. I saw my boyfriend try to approach me, but he stopped along the way. Why? I have fucking no idea. âWho is she?â were the first words that came out of my mouth. He just looked at me like I was a grenade ready to explode. His mom was there, so as his brother but nobody dared to speak.
Slowly, I was getting furious. I can even see this woman turn around and look at me as if she was a victim. If looks can kill, she might be dying now. Then I heard him say, â Sheâs Kateâ. I turned around to look at him again and said âKate, as in that Kate from your game?â Yes, there is this Kate from the game heâs playing. A RPG where you get to meet lots of people and one of them was Kate, who was from somewhere real far from the metro. That Kate I always felt bad about. That Kate who always has this one reason to call and text him. That Kate who often pays him more than what sheâs suppose to. That Kate who knows he has a girlfriend. I felt numb, real numb. I was seeing red everywhere. Then my boyfriend told me, âLetâs go out, and letâs talk.â I was surprised he can tell me that so I shouted âWhy should we head out? Why donât we talk here in front of everyone? Everyone involved is in here!â He tried to hold me but I removed his hands. To make things worse, that woman does not even look like she just arrived. So I asked âWhy is she here? Since when was she here? Is this why youâre busy today?â Stupid question, but yes I asked it. This woman, who was in here PJs, at least had the decency not to look me in the eye. And the answer to my question? Silence. I asked everyone in that house that same set of questions, but nobody answered me. But I did not cry. I canât cry. I wouldnât cry. Not in there. The woman began to speak and I cut her off, tellingher âExcuse me. I am not talking to you.â I turned to my boyfriend again and told him, in the calmest whisper I can muster, âYou wouldnât get one slap from me because you donât deserve it. What you deserve is that filthy thing on your bed.â
I started to walk out when I remembered I still have the cake I brought for him. I turned to him, found him looking at his feet, and told him, âIâm not even giving you this cake. Iâm sure she can buy you a lot of this.â Of course I wouldnât leave without a word for the female creature on his bed so I called her, waited for her to look at me and said âNice to meet you!â with my middle finger raised for good measure. I left the house, and the red still isn't fading. Sincerely yours, TheCultureOfSecrecy
