She perks up, less small than she had been before having company to help distract her from the irrational fear of buildings falling apart and crumbling because of an errant bolt of lightning. The music is lovely, but what is better is the company. Dorothy listens attentively.

“I don’t think that’s pathetic,” She replies quietly, and she means it to, “It kept you safe. You’re still here. Surviving… it really isn’t all that glamorous, is it?” Not like comic books or action novels would make it out to be. She hugs her legs a little bit closer. This time not out of fear, but like they’re a pillow and she’s getting comfortable.

A little bit of silence later, and Dorothy decides it’s okay to speak her mind, “Scary as it is out here? I don’t think I mind it. I mean, I like it better than the Institute,” a pause for her to lick her lips again. It’s a bad habit she does when she’s nervous. “They lie about how things are up here.”

     His  face  warms  up  just  a  tad;  not  pathetic,  he  wouldn’t  think  those words  true  if  he  said   them,  but  if  she does,  then  maybe  they  could  be  some  truth  to  them.  Just  a  smidgen.  Surely   she’d  take t hem  back  though if  she  had  seen  him:  huddled  up,  tears  in  his  eyes,  just  like  a  lost  child —  what  ever  Institute  and  Vault  Dwellar  were  topside.  It  didn’t  matter  anymore.

She’s  right  too,  none  of  it  is  glamorous.  Everyone  there  knew  it,  but  none  better  than  them  —  the  ones  who  lived  in  pristine  bliss underground.  Faraday  has  seen  the  naïve  innocence  in  every  set  of  eyes, seen t hem  be  replaced  by  horror.  It  hurts , but  it  is  what  it  is.

And  once  more  he  has  to  agree  with  her:  Its  a  hell  of  a  lot  better  than the  façade  of  happiness  in  The  Institute.

🍵 – Is your muse a gossip? Do they like to meddle in other people’s relationship business? Do they like to play matchmaker? Would they let someone match-make for them?

Faraday  keeps to himself, if someone tells him, or he overhears something, he doesn’t pay it any mind. The closest he’s gotten to something akin to it is in his meetings with DiMA, but it’s always him worrying and laying down what could happen with what he knows, and then he’s always down to talk shit about the institute.

Though if he ere buzzing/drunk, there wouldn’t be anything to stop his tongue from slipping.

Someone else’s relationships are none of his business, and if someone tries to meddle in his, they would have to be a good, trustworthy friend.

🍭 – What are some thoughtful gift ideas to get your muse?

Spare parts, he’s always running out or worried he will. Matches & lighters to light his cigarettes with ( basic ones, but nice/preserved looking ones makes him giddy ). Basic romantic gifts to be honest. The world is a wasteland, Far Harbor doubly so, thus it’ll be refreshing and new to him to receive like a flower, even a single one.

🍷 – Describe an ideal date for your muse.

Being whisked away to a secluded place ( either near Acadia, or even away from it ) for a few hours, maybe a day, of no maintenance or fixing something, and just being together where no one else is.. Faraday may put up a bit of reluctant, but the truth is he wants to go, and once there he won’t even care. Just time together, and a meal.

🔮 – Does your muse believe in soulmates? How do you feel about writing Soulmate AU’s?

  Faraday doesn’t believe in them, not when synths are made by human hands. If they are not created organically, naturally, then how can they be paired up with someone else that may be human or even another synth? It also brings up the age old question: do androids even have souls? How can one find a soulmate when they may not have the very word in the whole term?  Faraday thinks it’s nonsense....but can change his mind if his partner into that stuff, because would that not be validation enough if he ended up finding them?

I, as the mun, am very down for soulmate AU’s, whether Faraday is proven wrong as a synth, or in a humanverse. I’m a sucker for that stuff.

🎱 – Does your muse believe in serendipity or fate, when it comes to relationships and love? Do they have good or bad luck in relationships? What have they done to try to turn bad luck around?

Oddly enough, this he believes in: serendipity. If not for that, he wouldn’t have landed on Far Harbor and met DiMA, then created Acadia together. Soulmates may be ridiculous, but meant to be moments that if beneficial for all makes sense, and if he ‘accidently’ fell for DiMA, then so be it. It’s not lie their soulmates. Faraday has relatively good luck with relationships, thought only when he doesn’t mean to or tries. His past partners were the ones to come to him without him realizing they were trying to flirt or get his attention. And those relationships were always nice, but also faded away as they outgrew one another, or decided not to get any more serious.

⚠ – What is a ship (or type of ship) that you have no intention of writing?

Besides the ones on my Do Not List, I think I’m down for about anything. I’ve had romantic ones and hate filled ones so far.
