IU: The MV is about a couple that was in love but broke up and miss each other, so ‘My Old Story’ is about their memories. [TEXT] A story of [two ex-lovers] who miss one another and reminisce about the past after they broke up. IU: Throughout the MV, both Choi Woo Sik and I don’t have any scenes together. IU: Even so, we… are in love with one another keke. We cry our hearts out and miss one another greatly. [TEXT] [‘My Old Story’] about love, longing and memories. [TEXT] Q: What’s your favourite line in the song lyrics? IU: Rather than the lyrics, for the part that goes… IU: “Were you too shy to say anything? Did you not like me?~” this part IU: I think I sang it really well keke. [TEXT] (Self-praise) I [sang] this part really well. IU: So when we were monitoring the recording, IU: the staff actually went, “Oh! You can’t sing like this (for the whole song)!” [TEXT] Song lyrics that contain IU’s [emotions]. IU: But that part actually came out really well. IU: Although there are many other parts of the lyrics that are better, IU: I like this part best. [TEXT] Q: Was there any part of the filming process that you found tiring? IU: I took a look at Choi Woo Sik’s scenes and he looks really good. IU: He doesn’t need to feel pressured. IU: Even as I was recording for the album, I felt pressured keke. [TEXT] ‘pressure’ ‘pressure’ IU: I felt it too. I have a scene whereby I shed tears, IU: so I’ll do my best to express the emotions well. [TEXT] An MV that showcases not only IU’s song but [her emotional acting] as well. [TEXT] Q: On selling your remake album, ‘A Flower Bookmark’? IU: Through my remake album, ‘A Flower Bookmark’, I learnt a lot and many things made me feel touched. IU: Whether it’s those feelings or through the song selection, IU: I definitely wanted to convey something uniquely IU through this album.
