sometimes i have to remember that illuhen/swangale/lolluga/lohilluhen is a case of the mass hysteria phenomenon where the fanbase collectively agrees to ship it despite a severe lack of canon content eluding to them having any connection whatsoever and that until hoyo decides to give us crumbs is basically a crackship

It really is amusing, because i saw Lohens release and how he was in Nod Krai and immediately thought „huh, so he kills for his enjoyment (superficially speaking) in an environment where people fight to survive? Illuga would hate that…“ and then went on thinking about why that would be the case (or maybe not) and how Lohen needs earnest kindness in his life imo. I have never stopped thinking about all the interesting possibilities since then??? I love crack ships, they fuel my creativity. Still, i SO HOPE we get canon interaction!!

I think the theorizing might have something to do with his earring, and his unclear origins besides being orphaned. That being said- I don’t think it really impacts Illuga? His story and identity surrounds his survivors guilt and the lightkeepers so much more than that, and I’m not sure how it adds to things other than being cool?

Personally I think the interesting interpretations of Illuga and his tolerance of khuuvhaki/being able to eat mandragora are more fun to think about- but both of them are kinda neat.
