Get a License for Your Dog in Less Than One Day!
The Health Department has just announced a new dog licensing campaign beginning this Saturday, May 18th (TOMORROW) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Carl Schurz Park. Health Department staff will be at events across the City from May to September to give pet owners a quick and easy way to obtain or renew a dog license. At these events, staff will use laptops to license dogs and owners will leave the event with a new dog license tag.
Check out this page for more information and for a listing of events throughout the summer where you can get a license in a day:

Charlie is an old man now, but still takes his job guarding the house very seriously. He likes to chase after patches of sun to sleep in, pretend he’s a lap dog, and howl with his family.
Ty enjoys a sunny day in a NYC Park.
NYC Health Dog Licensing in City Parks During the Month of October
Beginning today NYC Health and NYC Parks will be in City Parks helping pet owners obtain or renew their dog license. Dog license applications will be available in the mornings and the evenings during normal dog walking hours. Owner’s who’s dogs are not yet licensed will be given an application and information on the benefits of licensing their dog and responsible pet ownership. Staff will be on site in parks throughout the five boroughs on Wednesdays during the month of October (generally before 9:00 AM and after 5:00 PM). For more information on NYC Health’s City Parks Dog Licensing campaign you can read our press release. To learn more on how to license your dog and the benefits of doing so, you can visit the dog licensing page on our website.

My 5 yr old pampered shih tzu is a native NY’er equipped with her Juicy Couture toy & lots & lots of love :-)
Norm loves making sure his Brooklyn kitchen is up to code!
This is Miss Poppy Smith. She barks with an Australian accent and loves living in NYC!! xx
This is Daisy Buchanan. She is 7 months old and absolutely loves being a native New Yorker!
Nelly was in a hoarding situation with matted hair and rotting teeth, but after giving her a quick makeover, she's ready for westminster.
Lucas (adopted from Puerto Rico) is a true New Yorker these days. He loves to sniff around the green markets at Union Square and enjoys tasty treats from the city's food trucks.
I've been licensed since 2007.
Take an 8-1/2 x 11 pad of paper, turn it sideways, stick on a head and you have Nina, a truly adoggable New Yorker. She rescued me in October 2011 at the estimated age of four years, and that moment marked the beginning of beginnings for us both.
Lulu, my 11-year-old mini poodle, rests under a bench along the East River. She loves to run, swim, chase tennis balls and explore the city with me. Her T-shirt says, “I love dog-gone New York!”
This is Disco, unofficial Mayor of the LES, and real New Yorker. 4 1/2 years old (going on 2 months) he's obsessed with reflections of light and often seen leaping six or seven feet in the air to lick the face of anyone who welcomes happiness.
This adorable pug was rescued and given a second shot at life and is therefore named Mulligan.
When not dressing up for Halloween, he enjoys eating, sleeping and snoring.
