That time I worked as a eyelash groomer
Things I’ll never tire of: • pads being called “feminine napkins”
• shaving commercials for women where their legs are completely hairless before the razor even touches them
• paper towel commercials where the father bursts through the door with his son, tracking mud everywhere and breaking something, and the mother smiles fondly and cleans by herself
• kids’ protein shake commercials where the six year old refuses to eat his dinner and the mother smiles fondly and?? replaces his dinner?? with a drink??
• shoe commercials where a bunch of women are screaming hysterically and thus making me associate that company with agonizing shrieks
• cake toppers where the bride is dragging the groom because nothing says love and devotion like hatred and regret. these people are going into marriage expecting and even enjoying the idea that they’re not happy.
• bumper stickers that insult the person behind you because for some reason you really want to file all that paperwork when some inevitable idiot rear ends you out of spite
• when teachers divide girls and boys during class discussion, generalizing their opinions by gender, so that they basically discourage anyone from entering the conversation with the goal of understanding each other. now you have spoken for people you never asked the opinion of, as well as made sure that guys feel it’s okay to dismiss the perspective of women and vice versa. education = ignorance after all
• diet Dr. Pepper for men
This list is so on it
if a guy is hitting on u and he is clearly the alpha in his group of guys.. go for the third in command and undermine their whole power structure
Oh god, I used this tactic so often. Because in most cases I was trying to pull dudes for my friends, rather than myself. You figure out who their leader is, go for #3 or #4 in the group, who is generally much cuter and a bit more shy. This is why he ranks high, but not too high. You go hard on this dude. You hold his hand and smile at him. You don’t even have to go further. Dude #3 is just bewildered you brushed off #1. This makes the dude at the top antsy. It causes dissent in the ranks. Your friends can now swoop in, picking from the remaining dudes as they start to scatter in the wind. They have lost all sense of self. You have secured free drinks for the rest of the night. And whatever else your genitals desire.
She broke that shit down so beautifully
women are masterminds and i love it

Chicken Core by Sporedust
‘Awesomeness’ is really the only description that fits this animation from the Nigerian animation company Sporedust. It is about chickens. Chickens that are warriors. It is delightfully entertaining and a show that I would have definitely given a thumbs up for as a child. Ignoring a bit of the sound effects here and there, I’m proud that such first-rate animation is coming out of Nigeria. This feature Chicken Core follows a group of chicken warriors in their quest to rid their land of tyrant king and his minions.
The animation aims to deliver a fascinating package full of action-adventure, comedy, drama and intrigue for both the young and elderly. It is targeted at the local and international audience while also seeking to bridge the gap between cultures in Nigeria.

My paternal grandfather, Dr João Farah, would have been approximately 90 years old today. I miss him terribly. He was an anesthesiologist and his profession defined him : he was a man who spend his life making sure people didn't feel pain. Legend goes that the moment I was born he snatched me from the delivery room, running through the hospital corridors and holding me up like a trophy. 🏆 He held me like a trophy throughout the 30+ years we got to hang out.
