CECINA DE GRANA MEETS VYSOKOŠKOLSKÉ KOLEJE

My friend Lukáš has one of the best jobs in the world. He ows an e-shop with jamon, salami and olive oils. He lives at Malaga, where he chooses the most authentic, organic and tasty products. Since he is such a big fan of my humor and he hates to see me starving, time by time, I receive a present.

Last week it was dried beef sirloin, cecina de grana, and the most fruity oil I've ever tasted . Rarely, when it happens to have something so fancy at home, I always serve it on the plate I've stolen at school cantine.

LOVE MY JOB

Working at Café Neustatd perfectly meets my obsession: part of it is searching for grandma's-like mugs. We need them especially for Saturday Brunch.

HOME. FINALLY.

Since Tuesday, I am not homeless anymore. Unbelievable. My life is gonna be a bit spartan now. However, decent tableware is a must for such a decent young lady.

Barbican mug is well known here. So is the UO plate.

Queen-of-fucking-everything mug is probably my most favourite piece. Urban Outfitters as well. Because I am actually very annoying person.

Matryoshka - Unicef. Vase - old gift from my mother. 

And that bottle of Absolut vodka was a birthday gift. Let's say I plan to keep it as a decoration as long as possible. Week at least.

FOUND AT ŽIŽKOV

Me and my friend Michal, Czech expat based in London, found box of porcelain yesterday. I always wonder why people throw away these things. Two Thun teakettles, cups and saucers, sugar bowl - with sugar in it, salt and pepper shaker and napkin holder.

H&M HOME FINALLY IN PRAGUE

This blog just started and I've been already invited to H&M HOME launch party. What a blessing. How unbelievable. Food was great as well. There was bunch of fashion bloggers on diet, so I was actually allowed to grab some leftovers to my friend. The bird plate is a must have, happy to have it at home.

CURRENTLY HOMELESS #2

Since I had no place to stay in Prague, I've decided to go to Berlin for a week. Richard who I've barely known turned into a friend for life. And not only behind Berghain walls. I couldn't find any gift for him before I left, so he's gonna get this plate when I'm visiting next time. 

Here you go, bro!

By the way, the hens in the background - I love Urban Outfitters fanzine called Sheet. Issue no. 2. Posters, wrapping papers, wallpaper, all in one.

CURRENTLY HOMELESS #1

After returning from London, I am currently homeless. I’ve decided to crash my friends’ places until I get back my old room. 

Gift for Mira, my first stop. Coffee mug and biscuit plate from Kolbenova flea market.

Grumpiness - that’s his trademark. Beside other activities, he’s well know in Prague for throwing straight friendly Pioneer parties.

EASILY

I’ve spent five minutes in DIY supplies shop trying to describe to the sales assistant what I need. It’s like a threat, metalic, silver, made of tiny rings. 

You mean CHAIN?

Yes, I was looking for a chain.

While paying, I told her: The older I get, the more it surprises me how dumb I can be.

The message in her eyes was pretty clear. Leave. Right. Now.

On days like this, I try to take it easy. Recipe for my pasta is so simple it’s not even a recipe.

Boil pasta and mix it with chopped green olives, pepper and feta cheese. If you have fresh oregano leaves, add them, go for it, I’m actually very happy for you.

I bought the plate at Urban Outfitters in London. Flamingoes are the dumbest birds ever - and I love them.

PEOPLE WILL ALWAYS NEED PLATES

I was bit down with money and that cup in Barbican Centre giftshop cost 15 pounds. It certainly wasn't the design or the fact that there is only limited edition of 500 pieces why I decided to buy it. It was the phrase on the bottom. 

People will always need plates.

I was about to leave London in few days. For good or at least for a very long time. I felt quite strange and nostalgic and my very own depressive soundsystem in my iPod didn't make it any easier.  But this cup finally made me start this blog, that's for sure.
