Q: Where does the name One11 come from?
One11: Well really its One and 11 is the last name. You do not say a person’s full name everytime you see them but its One11.
Q: Where did your start in music come from?
One11: The school lunch table was my first studio. I had a friend in school that was sick with the pencil then he would get the pen and go crazy on the table making beats. I really started rapping back when Smack DVDs were out, that era. Even in college I played with it but did not really take it serious.
Q: What was the switch from just playing to taking music serious?
One11: It was the transition from following a specific school of thought- Where you go to school, graduate and get the good job. I did all that. I was at a job I did not really have the passion for, but I stayed because of the relationship I was in. I had already started making music. One day I was crazy late to work, so crazy it was almost like why even bother to show up. That night I put in my resignation and went the entrepreneur route.
Q: Where does the inspiration for the name of the project- An Orange Sun come from?
One11: The person that I was dealing with, the inspiration for the project, her favorite color is orange. Then the album cover is the sunrise and the sunset. Which means the beginning of something is the end of something else. And the end of something is the beginning of something else. Just the idea of the day in the life.

One11: Snoh Aalegra (all due respect she is the new Sade) and Saint JHN (I would switch up the vibe of the music to be more in his pocket)
