The life of a Naprapth
Naprapthatic Medicine is a holistic approach to wellness that focuses on connective tissue disorders. Damage to muscles, ligaments, tendons, and other connective tissue could slowly lead to pain spreading throughout the body. Naprapathy go to the root of these connective tissue disorders and through manual manipulation of these ligaments and tendons to help restore proper alignment, blood flow, and function. An easier way of thinking about this profession is like they bring elements of massage therapy and chiropractic medicine.
The average week of a Naprapath
This profession is lucky enough to escape the average 9am-5pm work weeks. The average week of a Naprapathy varies depending on the number of clients they have scheduled for that week. Sometimes they can stay at their work for only a couple of hours, or they can have an upwards of 10-hour workdays. Naprapaths have a lot of control regarding their working schedule they can decide to work as many or as little hours they want but usually the number of clients they have at the time will change, also many naprapaths do the best they can at scheduling appointments that best work with the clients' schedule.
Required education
To become a Naprapath requires a bachelor's degree as part pre-requisite to be eligible to apply and enter a Doctor of Naprapathy program. The training in this program typically involves 4 hours of Mastery level study where you will earn a Doctor of Naprapathy degree. Any further education after this program varies state by state to acquire a license to practice in that state. Various states will require an individual to pass board exams to be able to practice while some other states do not even give the ability for an individual to be able to license in the state.
How much does a naprapath charge?
Locally in Albuquerque, New Mexico there is a place called Elite-OSM where people can receive this care can expect to pay $100 for their first session of care. After the first session the prices drop to $80 per session, typically these sessions can take anywhere from 45 to 75 minutes long and leaving the client pain free and issues of chronic pain cured. Since this line of work is not well known many may be skeptical about the quality of care, they might receive a good place to watch how these sessions are through YouTube. The owner of Elite OSM shows some of the sessions he has with his clients and the wonders it does to the client's body’s I highly recommend anyone who has any kind of pain or tissue disorders to watch the work and hopefully experience everything Naprapathic medicine has to offer.
