Some really old things for the story I'll never write

So, it's a quarantine zone: the air is filled with toxic dust that has already turned the entire population into bloodthirsty ghouls. But it's not all bad, because if you take a pill that matches the color of the mark on your right cheek every day, you won't turn into a yellow-eyed mad thing devouring its neighbors! (And if your mark is green, the contamination will just make you paranoid.) And yeah, the color of the marks also correlates with a class system, where red signifies predators and the elite, yellow - herbivorous white-collars, green signifies, eh, that you're a vegetable, apparently, and gray signifies lower class and also insects and mold. Have fun! (Just don't try to invite a ghoul to join your rock band because their mom told them not to play with their food)
