Practicing digital portraiture, and it’s hard, and Anduin is spoopy now, and I love him, but I cry.
I drew our boyyyyyyyyy T^T
Going into holiday mode early, cause this year was rough. Hope everyone’s 2020 ends on a high note!
Anduin is the real gift, tbh. T^T
Happy Halloween/Hallow’s end for us WoW players!
#AnduinArtober Day 24: Shadow. No story today, just another take on Shadow Priest Anduin.
#AnduinArtober Day 23: Noble. It felt like every time he left the Keep, a noble would spot him like a hawk. The next thing Anduin knew, they’d be pressuring him into marriage. He figured he’d find the right person eventually, but it would be his choice and only when he was ready.
#AnduinArtober Day 22: Death. His face remained stone, but the tears flowed down his face. Anduin fought them back, knowing the death of his father placed the burden of the crown on him. There would be time to grieve later. Hopefully.
#AnduinArtober Day 21: Snake. He could feel it flowing through him, the darkness snaking around his arm, down to his fingertips. The power sought to consume him, but he would not allow it. It was a tool, his to control.
#AnduinArtober Day 29: Stone. After the assault on the Broken Shore, stone was all that remained of Varian Wrynn; the stone of the walls of Stormwind, of the effigy that memorialized him. Anduin wished his heart were stone to dull the ache left behind by the loss of his father.
#AnduinArtober Day 19: Winter. The winters in Stormwind were generally temperate with snow being a rarity. During his time in Kun-Lai Summit, Anduin had grown to love the brisk, cold air and the gentle snowflakes dancing to the ground. That time was too short, and he missed it.
#AnduinArtober Day 18: Roots. The Wrynn family legacy was well known, but Anduin sometimes wondered if he truly knew his roots. The only blood relative he had was his father, and now he had no one. All he ever knew were stories that felt like legends, but he treasured each one.
#AnduinArtober Day 17: Revealed. As Anduin walked past his study on the way to bed, he heard a loud thump, followed by a clank. Startled, he grabbed a candle, and entered the room to find the intruder. Upon entering, the culprit revealed itself, mewing with ink-covered paws.
#AnduinArtober Day 16: Sacred. Anduin had so many duties, and he solemnly accepted the burden of each one with quiet resolve. These smaller duties amounted to one sacred charge he held above all: to protect the people of the Alliance.
#AnduinArtober Day 14: Blood. “You’re quick enough to kill...” He took no pleasure in it, although he was certain Sylvanas did. Anduin looked down at his blood-spattered armor, his gut wrenching at the lives lost on both sides. How much more blood must be shed?
#AnduinArtober Day 13: Crown. He only donned the crown once in his life; his official coronation as king. The crown was a simple one, but it’s symbolism still strong. Anduin found his head heavy enough by the weight of his title. He did not wish to wear it physically.
#AnduinArtober Day 12: Warrior. Anduin never considered himself a warrior like Varian. However that did not stop him from taking to the battlefield, and committing to the martial training his father had to force on him. Anduin wondered if he would be proud of the man he’d become.
This was weird cause I started with no ref pic, then got one later, and did it all in a day. It was a rushed effort, so it’s not perfect, but I’m proud cause I’m learning stuff! Yay learning! Gotta learn to loosen up and used more varying colors next.
#AnduinArtober Day 11: Wings. On occasion, Anduin would hear someone exclaim, “Isn’t he angelic!” as he rode along the streets of Stormwind atop Reverence. He’d turn bright red, confused. Had he sprouted wings? Looking in a mirror, he saw only a tired man staring back. No angel.
