i found it especially tender when joe was telling nicky to wake up because he didn’t use “svegliati” but “destati” like…..that hit differently, it was seriously so tender. I don’t know how to explain the difference, but “svegliati” e “destati” just feel different cause “destati” feels like it’s more likely to be found in poems. what I’m getting at is yes joe read every single italian poem ever written aloud to nicky while nicky’s head was on his lap. I really like how they speak to each other, it’s with care

I am truly obsessed with that blip of backstory for Joe and Nicky. Like- excuse the fuck out of my entire tragically heterosexual ass, but what to do you MEAN you met during the crusades, on opposite sides of the battlefield, and killed each other a bunch?!

Did they realize they were immortal the first time they killed each other and just did it again and again out of frustration until they fell in love? Or was it more of meeting on the battlefield after dreaming of each other and being like- OH NO, HE’S HOT sort of situation?
