Scorpius turned as Rose walked in, noticing the frustrated look on her face. He watched her and couldn’t help but smile. “Morning, gorgeous.” He replied, checking through all the ingredients for the potion. “Have I got everything?” He asked, even though he knew he did as he read the list of ingredients from the textbook for the third time. “You seem tense.” He observed. “How was Transfiguration? Turn any first years into crickets or something?” Scorpius said with a snicker as he leaned over beside her and kissed her cheek with a smile.

It was so strange to Scorpius that simply looking at this girl made his heart flutter and sparks rush through his veins. It might have been the fact that they were there about to make the most powerful love potion ever, or at least that was a part of it, but he knew that this was what love felt like. Seeing the girl and wanting to stroke her skin and hold her in his arms. “God, you’re beautiful.” He mumbled mainly to himself as he loosened his tie and began uncapping the jarred ingredients.

Rose couldn’t stop her smile from growing at his greeting before nodding at his question. “Yes, indeed you do,” she grinned. “Impressive, Mr. Malfoy.” Rose ruffled Scorpius’s hair with a grin before grabbing her potions book and opening it to the page on Amortentia. Rose stared down at the page as she read the instructions of and over letting a small hum escape her lips at his observation about her before her eyes finally raised up to meet his. “No, we were surprised with a pop quiz,” she shrugged. “I wish we had though I’d rather it had been the obnoxious 7th years and not the terrified 1st years.”

Rose looked back down at her potions book again letting some of her hair fall to cascade around her face as she lightly hummed some tune that was stuck in her head, her eyes bouncing around the page as she took in the instructions before reaching over and grabbing one of the ingredients. She held up the ingredient in her hand and studied it for a minute before grabbing another one and studying that one. After a moment she took the first ingredient and cut it up like the instructions said all the while humming.

Amortentia // Scorose

Fifteen minutes before Rose’s Transfiguration class, Scorpius headed to the classroom besides their regular Potions lab. As he arrived, he opened the door a little and peeked in, double checking there wasn’t a class taking place, which there wasn’t. He opened the door fully and walked in, heading toward the bookshelf in the corner of the room and grabbing a textbook as he’d forgotten his own.

Scorpius placed the book down on one of the bench tables beside the cleanest and least smelly cauldron he could find. Flipping the book opened, he read through the ingredients before going around searching and collecting them from the cabinets around the room. As he was doing this he gradually heard the bustling of students heading to their next classes in the hallways as while he lined up the pots and jars of ingredients, he heard the door opened behind him.

Rose quickly gathered her bags in her arms as she shoved all her parchments into her bag. She had hardly paid any attention in class. She had been to busy going over her notes on Amortentia to pay attention to Transfiguration. HEr thoughts consumed of all the things she thought the potion would smell like. Books, quill ink, fresh parchment, her mums cooking, The Burrow, maybe even rose’s (which she would totally never admit that those flowers were her favorite because that would just be way to ironic). As rose made her way trough the halls she found herself being pushed and shoved out of the way.

The struggle to get to the classroom was all to real for Rose. She felt trapped by all the students and all she wanted to do was just snap at all of them. A low growl left her lips as yet again another student shoved past her. Spotting the door to the classroom she had told Scorpius to meet her in, Rose picked up her pace. A smile plastered itself on her lips as she reached for the door and pulled it open only to get shoved once again and drop her bags. Rose let out an irritated growl as she spun around to find the obnoxious 7th year that had just shoved her. “Hey you wanna watch where you’re going, you arse,” Rose snapped at him before crouching down to pick up her books and step inside the room closing the door behind her with an irritated look on her face. Rose took a deep breath as she calmed herself down before turning to make her way to Scorpius a smile back on her face. “Hey, handsome,” she greeted as she set her books down at the next desk over and dropped her bag on the floor as well.

Scorpius listened to her and bit his bottom lip, smirking a little. “Sure…” He said, her words sending tingles through his spine. Before she was too far away, Scorpius reached quickly and took her wrist in his hand, turning her around quickly and kissing her quickly. “It’s rude to not say goodbye properly, Rosie.” He snickered before letting her go to her class.

Rose let out a gasp as Scorpius grabbed her wrist and turned her before pressing his lips against hers quickly. Rose giggled lightly against his lips as she returned the kiss before pulling away and walking off to her class looking over her shoulder at her boyfriend with a smile. “Goodbye, Mr. Malfoy,” she called before turning a corner.

“An empty classroom, eh? Sounds suggestive, you’re not gonna try and seduce me are you Miss Weasley?” He joked. “But fine, I’ll see your lesson.”

“Well I’ll be, Mr. Malfoy,” Rose feigned an astounded and hurt tone. “I am a lady, kind sir. What kind of girl do you take me for?” Rose let out a laugh before shaking her head. “I promise I won’t take advantage of you, Scorp,” she teased. “Just gonna show you how to make a love potion is all.” Rose shot a wink at Scorpius before turning and starting to head down the hallway to her Transfiguration class.

“I know you do, I barely see you without a textbook in your hand. Well if you’re so clever Miss Weasley why don’t you try and show me how it’s done?”

“Hey, I have to pass all five of my NEWTs with E’s so I have to study all the time. I will Mr. Malfoy. I have Transfiguration in 10 minutes though so how about you meet me in the empty classroom next to the Potions classroom after my class and then I’ll show you how it’s done.”

“Easier than this! I’ve done all the research I need to and I thought I’d done it right but it just seems to be going all kinds of wrong.”

“Trust me, I do a lot of research for potions class, seeing as it’s required of me to pass with at least an E on the NEWTs to become a healer, but I usually mess up the first time around... I mean that happens rarely but on the harder potions it takes a few tries.”

“Turns out Amortentia is far more difficult to make than I’d anticipated.”

Scorpius rolled his eyes at her comment about his piercing eyes, laughing a little before saying “I don’t think you really mean that.” with a smirk. Scorpius pulled away from the kiss and laid on his bed beside her, resting on his side, looking at the girl next to him. If he could, he’d carry on kissing her and touching her and being with her, and he pretty much knew she wouldn’t have a problem with it, but he couldn’t shake the thought of what happened to her every time they got close to getting close. He wanted her to be comfortable and ready and his brain kept telling him not to do anything.

Rose laughed lightly before shaking her head. “Of course I mean it,” she told him. “They’re a very pretty, piercing blue. Mesmerizing even.” Rose’s eyes knitted together as she turned her head to look at Scorpius as he pulled away. A look of confusion written along her face as her body suddenly felt cold with his body no longer as long as it had been. “Are you okay,” she questioned propping herself up on her elbow.

“I wouldn’t be me if I wasn’t overly cocky, Miss Weasley.” Scorpius smirked as he kissed her soft skin. Scorpius smiled down at his girlfriend, realising just how lucky he was, and how strange it was that this time last year he barely even spoke to the girl except for snide comments and insults here and there. “Pretty eyes?” He said, laughing. “That makes me sound so feminine. What about piercing eyes or handsome, rugged, attractive eyes?” He joked, placing his lips back on hers.

“Touche,” Rose grinned up at her boyfriend, a boy who just a few weeks ago was merely a classmate and housemate, a boy whom her father would never approve but that she loved very much and just that fact alone cause Rose’s grin to widen to a smile as she continued to take him in. “that makes me sound so feminine,” Rose mocked teasingly, her smile never leaving her lips. “I think you’ll get over it, sir. Just in case though, You’re eyes are extremely piercing.” Rose let one of her hands raise to rest on the back of his neck as he returned his lips to her own while the other slid down his chest and rested against his abdomen.

“Every colour looks good on me, Rosie.” Scorpius smirked. Scorpius held her tightly as they kissed, moving forward and falling onto his bed, leaning over her as thye continued to kiss but now laid down. He laughed against her lips, it was funny how just being with her made him feel so happy that he laughed for no reason. Scorpius’ lips moved from her lips across her jaw line placing small kissed across her skin then down her neck. He pulled away and looked down at the girl, his messy bangs falling slightly in front of his eyes as he leaned over her.

“You are way too confident for your own good, Mr. Malfoy,” Rose teased before letting a soft laugh leave her lips as they fell onto the bed. Her skin ignited like fire as Scorpius moved his lips along her jaw and down her neck, letting a light moan escape her lips. Rose’s eyes fluttered open as she looked up at Scorpius raising a hand to brush his bangs aside so she could look into his eyes. “You have pretty eyes,” she commented absentmindedly.

“Good.” Scorpius smirked. “Well, when you pick a dress I need to know what colour so my tie can match, You know… all that cheesy couple-y bullshit.” He said, smiling. Scorpius wrapped both his arms tighter around her waist and picked her up as they kissed. “God I love you.” He mumbled against her lips.

Rose smiled lightly and nodded. “Of course,” Rose agreed. “I’ll make it sure it’s a color that’ll look good on you too.” Rose hugged Scorpius tightly as he lifted her up and kissed him back smiling brightly against his lips. “I love you too, Scorp,” she murmured against his lips.

“Oh I know who the right person is.” Scorpius laughed, grabbing her round the waist and pulling her close to him. “So come on then, you wanna go with me I guess?” He said. “Also am I going to get a say in what this dress looks like? Because I won’t lie to you, I’d like to see a bit of thigh… maybe some cleavage if you’re up for that too, of course I’m not picky, you’d look beautiful in anything but you know… I’m a guy… showing some skin would be nice.” He winked, leaning down and kissing her cheek playfully.

Rose let out a light shriek as Scorpius pulled her to him before letting out a giggle and wrapping her arms around his neck and looking up at him. “Of course I wanna go with you,” Rose smiled. “And now I think I’m going to surprise you though I will keep all of that in mind and try to find something you might like.” Rose couldn’t help but laugh at Scorpius before she leaned up and lightly pressed her lips before pulling back to look at him again.

“I guess…Well who knows if you’re spending it with the right person? We’re all going to be wearing masks…”

“You don’t always have to know who the right person is. If you’re having fun with someone regardless if you know who they are then you’re pending it with the right person. I honestly can’t wait for this ball. I think I’m gonna ask Roxanne and Molly to go dress shopping with me. It’s going to be so much fun.”

Scorpius rolled over and looked at his girlfriend, smiling a little at her. “Hey beautiful.” He said, sitting up in bed, wincing at a small pain that shot through his head. “My head is throbbing and I was pushed down some stairs but other than that I’m brilliant!” He said sarcastically. “How are you doing? You know… after everything?”

Rose held back a flinch as she watched Scorpius wince at the pain he must’ve been feeling. She hated seeing him like this. It pained her to see him like this. “Do you need anything,” she asked before going through her bacck and pulling out a few vials. “You should take a couple of these. They’re Wiggenweld Potion and Strengthening Potion. Strengthening potion will give you strength and the Wiggenweld Potion cures minor damage so it’ll probably help that cut you’ve got under those bandages. Unfortunately I don’t have anything that could help with the pain you must be feeling but I’m sure Victoire has something in her office. I can go check if you want something...” Rose stared down at the vials in her hands at Scorpius’s question. “I’m fine,” she admitted. “Actually... I’m kind of relieved to have it out. I don’t have to worry about anyone finding out anymore and I don’t have to act like it never happened.” Rose stood up and held the vials out to Scorpius. “Take them,” she told him.
