So I thought, hey, maybe I should do like a dumb-dumb “schedule” for the followers (actually, mainly for me though so I can organize my-dumb-butt-self and think what I actually have to do, instead of bragging about the amount of WIP characters I have).
WIP names are sacred for me, so I will instead use project names.
A year ago, talking to an AI companion meant typing into a text box and imagining the rest. Lately the experience has shifted, and SweetDream is one of the clearest examples of where things are heading. The platform at sweetdream.ai now offers video calls with select characters, and that single feature has quietly reframed what people expect from an AI girlfriend.
What stands out, observing how users talk about it, is how naturally the video fits into the rest of the experience. SweetDream lets you design your companion from the ground up, her looks, her voice, her backstory, the little quirks that make her feel specific rather than generic. Then it layers on emotionally intelligent chat, lifelike voice calls, and remarkably good AI-generated photos and videos. A live video call becomes the obvious next step rather than a gimmick bolted on.
It's tempting to lump every AI companion service together, but the gap shows up in details like this. SweetDream treats privacy as non-negotiable and treats the video call as something to be done well, not just advertised. The result reads less like a feature checklist and more like a platform that actually understands what people want from this kind of connection.
Sorry if this has been asked to death, but what is the bodyslide mod/preset you use for your characters?
It’s all custom mane. Each character has their own bodyslide that I build from scratch, and while I can honestly say that I don’t copy between characters, I have a type... so... a lot of characters have similar bodies. If you have a specific character in mind, I can maybe probably create a preset in bodyslide (I only use the Racemenu UUNP plugin).

me: literally, LITERALLY, make a post on how I should focus on existing characters, finish what I’ve started before starting more, and a schedule on how to do this

Update under ‘2020-11-05′
Twins & Co.
I’ll post when it’s ready®.
2020-11-05: First of three done!
Valkyrie Project
Something I’ve been brewing up for the past three or so months. Possibly from January even. Got a few draft posts up, but I need to write about 3k-5k words I think.
Demon Expac
Oh boy. Another project I began back in May. Same as above, but at an even earlier stage so even more work. One character is on a visual concept, and the other two are at a written concept. The fourth is already done, this is an expansion for her story.
Twins Pt. II: Daughters of a Dragon
A different project that was initially triplets, but it didn’t feel right. Characters are done™ but no lore so no posty.
Druidess
Maybe, finally, possibly, I don’t know. This concept is from May of 2018, depending on counting. Original Druidess changed quite a bit over the years.
Hides-Her-Ears & Co.
That’s her project name now. Appearance-wise done™, but no lore so no posty.
2020-06-08: Got a bit further, got some writing done and I am that one step closer to the finish line.
Nora’s Apprentice
Oooooh, this was back in June o’ 2019. Probably should put it higher. Concept done, basic background done, appearance done™.
Mino_wip
Upon realizing that the amount of (stronk) girls at or above 2.4 meters is one, I needed another. Minotaurs are pretty cool. This character ain’t done, not even done™.
The Pyromancer
Yeah, that crispy Dark Elf I posted a while back. Concept is from May ‘20, basic background done; appearance is, well, you’ve seen it. Feeling a bit conflicted, I might recycle her looks for another character. Not because it’s easy, but because I’m not sure if I think the WIP I posted really fits to what I have as a concept.
F U T U R E, e.g. very early concepts™ ®
Hooved Sorceress
This is a looooong shot and I honestly doubt it’ll happen, but if I get Mino_wip to work I might be able to get this to work.
The Hunters
More a writing concept, but who knows... probably won’t actually turn into anything beyond that.
Dead’N’Gone, e.g. projects lost to the loss of interest.
Wilma’s mom
January 2019. I should start working. Appearance-wise done™, but no lore so no posty.
2020-06-08: Projects live and die, and I came to the realization that this is done. Honestly, in the end I was never quite certain what to even do with her, and now I know she’ll be a sad note in Wilma’s backstory.
After my last post where I mentioned the 20 wips or something I received an ask tangentially related to the whole process, so I thought what the heck, here goes.
it’s about this character so continue reading if you care. I think she works really well in this example, though arguably someone like Vivien would be more appropriate.
The above three pics are the first I have of this character in the ol’ archives, dated to March of 2019. With hindsight (and something I fortunately did correct) I can tell that the normal map looks god awful there. Also the diffuse map is really smooth and me no like that.
Next version, changed armor to regular Nord Plate instead of SPOA (Silver Piece Of Art), new diffusemaps and new normals. You can easily tell how much normal maps change how the face looks. Back in August of 2018 I was wondering why Oleksandra always looked so weirdly sad due to the normal map casting shadows over the brow. But enough about that.
Change of armors again, back to SPOA. This character was meant to be a knight, which is more evident later. This “config” went pretty much carbon copy to Wynne. Pretty sure I changed to a slightly more defined normal map for those abs <3
Welcome to Hairstyle Hell. Choosing her style was more difficult than usual, as I put up some pretty difficult to fill criteria for them. Taking comparison shots is also a pain because you have to go to RM, change hair, back to game, line up the shot as best you can, then go back to RM, repeat.
Armor comparisons, nuff said.
This look is something I definitely want to come back to. This is the knight look I mentioned. Time to fire up that 21st WIP character!
Warhammer super armors, where you can’t even see the user? <3
Ultra-skimpy armor that would be considered scandalous? <3
I love it all. It’s also called fantasy. Anyone who argues that one could not fight in bikini armor is a dumb in my books. Of course you can’t fight in it, but one also can’t shoot fireballs out of our hands. Fantasy. Rant over.
Anyway, I want to come back to that look because, well look at her! She looks absolutely badass.
Hairstyle Hell 2: Hairific Boogaloo
Uh, Armor test 2: Silvery Ingot-oo?
Still didn’t figure out the armor. This is about the time (I think) I got KS-SG HDT hairs working, so um, Hairstyle Hell 3: With Physics
Last time for SPOA. New weapon (silver spear) from Heavy Armory. Also new hair :|
Metal head phase. Seriously, she reminded me of some of the more glorious Warhammer 40K and Fantasy characters *cough* Sanguinius *cough* I’ve been wanting to give some character the “sirenforest” hair and wanted to test it out. Didn’t work out. Moving on.
Hairstyle Hell III: Now in Steadycam
Back to regular Nord plate, Wynne uses SPOA and I didn’t want to copy too much.
It is now May of 2020. The earlier pics were taken about 2-3 months before these. hairstyle changed once again, armor remained. As the visual changes turn more subtle I usually begin to write a backstory of some form. Currently hers is sitting at about 2000 words.
BUT I AM NOT DONE YET. Hairstyle change, back to static hair. Shuffling the armor, I pretty much have four or five pieces I change trying to figure out which I like the most.
We keep changing the hair and the armor on a roll. These pics are about a week old, so this is her current look. I think I’m pretty satisfied with it.
One more for the road. No changes, same look as above. And to close things off...
A comparison shot. From the beginning there have only been a few things I have had written in her concept sheet. One of them being, that her hair has to cover her ears. This is purely a fluff reason. The look on the left is her “Version 1″ and the look on the right “Version 16″ according to my files. But then on the other hand there are 33 individual character saves in her folder.
In the end Wynne turned into a side-project from this character. And in the end I finalized a look for Wynne before this character. Incidentally, or probably not, I weaved their backstories together. Though only Wynne is anywhere close to finished.
This turned out to be quite fun for myself. Seeing and trying to remember the process, I’m also really happy about the progress I’ve managed. I hope you, dear asker, enjoyed this as well as anyone else who stumbled onto this.
Uhhh, it largely depends. Each character has a semi-unique config. I use LE exclusively.
When I say semi-unique config, I mean that these mods are pretty much always on, along with stuff like Racemenu, SkyUI, etc. There’s also the wildcard that I use a lot of hacked together mods that I’ve made myself over the years.
Some wips I’ve managed to make during the long long years
They’re like siblings or something, mixed twins iunno
They’re daughters of another character
Oh, but she’s wip too, asdsdgfoiujh
