as  they  smiled  at  one  another-  a  polite  exchange-  it  was  very  evident  that  there  was  an  extreme  lack  of  trust.  a  wall  being  built  in  the  space  between  them.  an  even  bigger  divide  by  the  knowledge  of  what  this  meeting  was  truly  supposed  to  be.  if  she  truly  knew  what  was  happening  heather  would  be  furious  of  Bruce  having  a  bigger  advantage  in  their  situation.  who  was  she  but  an  heiress ?  a  wealth  of  diamonds  and  blood  pooling  and  extracted  from  the  most  unexpected  of  places.  he  too  would  turn  into  one  of  those  places.

yes.  simon  knows  that  so  wholly  &  completely  that  he  feels  like  he  could  almost  burst  with  how  much  trust  he  has  in  wilhelm.  it’s  a  new  feeling,  really  -–  rosh  &  ayub  have  been  in  his  life  so  long  they’re  practically  family  these  days,  so  to  trust  someone  who  isn’t  family  in  the  way  that  he  trusts  wille  .  .  .  it’s  new.  (  they’re  new  ).  but  at  the  same  time  they  don’t  feel  new.  not  really.  not  like  he  knows  they  should.
