Y’all this is major!!

Eve and Villanelle BOTH recognized that the relationship they were in wasn’t the best for both of them. Eve asked how to make it stop, for her to stop giving in to that darkness within her, and Villanelle offered to help her!!

Eve was given the choice to leave Villanelle, and Villanelle has grown enough to let Eve go.

They had that opportunity to leave this relationship behind and, as Villanelle said, to never look back. They had the choice to leave each other…

But they didn’t. They couldn’t.

They both had to stop and look back at each other because in their hearts, it’s each other that they both want in life. Villanelle had the chance to be free, Eve had the chance to put all of this chaos behind her (literally).

BUT. THEY. DIDN’T.

They CHOSE one another. That’s the shift we needed in their relationship!!

It has always been brought up, how could this relationship work? How could these two actually be in a real relationship with each other? Well, this is how!!

By both being honest about what has been happening, by both opening up to each other about how they feel, and by both of them having the opportunity to leave each other. They needed to walk away in order to discover that, deep down, they just can’t.

The look they give each other in the end…that was love. It was two people connecting in its purest form and knowing that they can’t say goodbye to each other. 

They chose each other, goddammit. THEY FUCKING CHOSE EACH OTHER!!
