Here’s a few photos I took yesterday. The weather was so good even though it was -20 degrees 😊 (winter is finally here!) On Wednesday I had only 2 classes so I decided to go on a little shopping trip (bought a new pair of jeans and a book - The Virtue of Selfishness by Ayn Rand)  I’m really enjoying the abundance of free time that i have these days 💛

i discovered the dictate feature in word a couple of days ago and oh my god, my semester is saved. i can play a recording of a class, click on the dictate feature and it types everything out for me while i do something else. when it’s done, i rewatch the class to correct typos and to give structure to my notes. it saves me SO much time.

I’m going to be super real, I’m really exhausted and unmotivated lately and I’ve been questioning if med school is even right for me... Thankfully, my friends have been really helping me get back into the right mindset!!

ok so I was going to write a different caption for this but I honestly have no idea wtf I’m doing right now lol. so far this quarter has been the busiest I’ve ever had- I’m taking 19 credits (the highest I’ve ever taken), started working at my first internship, doing work with some community activist organizations, planning what my life is going to look like over the next year, not to mention… surviving during an election year in a global pandemic). needless to say, I am very tired. it’s all just a lot and last week I finally burnt out. 

tbh it feels wrong to complain about everything I’m doing because it’s all stuff that I genuinely love (other than analyzing founding father speeches for my communication of public address class) but I guess I really just have to keep reminding myself that work is work, and productivity isn’t admirable if you never take a break. you don’t have to earn the right to rest- what’s important is that you prioritize it. my life will work itself out one way or another. everything is going to be okay. sending you lots of love xxx
