Baby,
Sorry I haven’t written sooner, but we have been working nite and day to try to finish up here by thu Sat. morning. As far as I know now, we will leave here Sat at 3:30P.M, arrive Washington about 6:30 p.m. I plan to drive down Sat. nite and should arrive between 11 & 12 p.m. We haven’t been to town and doubt that we will get there before we leave. We are staying in Bog, rather nice but nothing elaborate. The trip down was O.K. We had to stop at Raleigh and Charlotte, by Eastern Airline. We fly back nonstop by National. Will see you Sat. nite.
Love + Kisses,
Charles
P.S. Tell Johnnie ‘Hello’ for me.”

Hi there Butch!
Gee, thanks for the letter + the goodies I’m patiently waiting for. I love tapioca, my favorite + that spaghet is my weakness. Your room is still idle + waiting for you to come back. - Pa. How is the job? B. Waldron has new tooths - they look wonderful + she is (p) pleased too. Will write a long letter soon. Hans is fine. I told him that you wrote.
Thanks, Lore”
