worst nightmare you've ever had?
“i don’t dream a lot at all but there was one that shook me up. i was old and decrepit and in this cage and i couldn’t even move a finger. i freaked out.”
what is your biggest pet peeve?
“laziness.”
any regrets?
“there aren’t a lot i make it a point to not to do anything i’ll regret. there’s an ex but that’s a story for another time. maybe not practicing harder. if i’d just practiced a little more i might not have torn my acl and mcl, i might be olympic by now.”
What’s the longest you’ve ever gone without sleep?
“i don’t think i’ve gone without sleep more than one day, it mostly just happens as sleeping an hour every night or something like that.”
did you have any childhood nicknames?
“i got myungie a lot. my dad called me pumpkin, he still does.”
amxbanthao:
┌ ♟ ┐ SHE HAD BEEN at the bar an awfully long time , but something kept her LOCKED at the location. it’s probably the nervous young girl in the corner — it’s so PAINFULLY OBVIOUS one of her first times in a place like this. the elder could hardly blame the novice , the bar was ( d a r k e r ) than usual && most of the usual more pleasant crowd wasn’t here , instead , replaced by sleazy , young money FUCKBOYS who think that they can get into a girl’s s-k-i-r-t by simply by buying a female a drink. LORD FORBID one of them tried bullshit that on her. the sips from her drink grew more && more infrequent, watching a pack of boys start slowly roaming the bar ( probably looking for their next victim ) && the girl in the corner was unaware of this. dark eyes dashed between the girl && group , elbow coming to REST on the counter && dark hair softly {{ r o l l i n g }} off her shoulders as her head tilted back slightly. a single hand raises as she flags over a bartender && she orders a bottle of whiskey , but it remains UNTOUCHED. the sound of leather shifting under weight next to her broke her thought process only slightly. “ hypothetically — i start a bar fight. would you back me up ? i’ll buy a meal after , providing we don’t need to go to the hospital. ”
by no means is myunghee a rowdy bar girl. they’re crowded and dirty and loud and she much prefers a quiet night on her terrace drinking expensive french wine. but by chance, or friend more like, she’s been forced here. there are things she can staunchly refuse, but when she knows she has time off its hard to refuse a pleading eye. he had promised her five minutes of business and then he had wandered off to god knows where. twenty minutes later she remains. she sticks out like a sore thumb in her a-line dress, each inch dry-cleaned perfection. now her designer heels are cutting into her toes and she reluctantly takes a seat among the ruckus in a worn bar stool. the woman’s words startle her out of her head and she gapes, unable to speak for a moment. “excuse me?” she says, eyebrows furrowing in confusion. she purses her lips and sighs waving the bartender, her just-water-please attitude poking through the drunken holes of the bar. “did you say a bar fight?”

the movements of his jaw became slower as he played with the gum in his mouth and chewed it in a rather slow pace, raven hues once locked on her now rolling back into his skull, an exasperated intake of air shaking his shoulders and his head being throw down, messily arranged blond locks of hair falling delicately to the sides of his face. it was… rather complicated, a two thousand pieces puzzle missing scattered parts here and there, a rubik’s cube your fingers have worked on for way too long for it to not even have one color covered, an unfinished math problem or a maze that changes its walls every night at noon. he kept trying, you know? drowning his s e l f i s h feelings and sealing them in a box to, instead, be a better person and support her, be a pilar in her life, a constant in any way he could think of. and yet she kept pushing him away. over and over again. like a broken tape that couldn’t do anything else but repeat itself, a never ending tale that always goes back to the starting point. it was tiring, zander was tired. it felt like a punch to his core, a reminder of what could have been and never was, and it was bringing him to his wit’s end.❛ why do you keep doing this? ❜ his tone as even, not giving away any type of emotion as he raised his head back up. zander shook his head and threw it back, a weary sight leaving the brims of his lips before locking his eyes back on her.❛ why can’t we be friends for real instead of tip-toeing around like we’re doing─ no, like we have been doing for months now? we’re not kids anymore, and we won’t be ones again, either. ❜
her bottom lip quivers. an ever existing telling she’s fighting back tears. every interaction she’s had with them has had no grey area. either the silence is choking or the words he says kill her. myunghee tugs at the bottom of her shirt, head noticeably turned away from him and refusing to meet his eyes. if she looks at him she knows what she’ll see. tousled hair soft to the touch, a face so beautiful she could cry, and eyes that still don’t have any goddamned anger. no matter how much she pushes he won’t just go, he keeps coming back and it’s killing her. there’s a scream trapped in her throat, i miss you, i miss you. and myunghee wants him but she can’t, just can’t let herself have him. if he would even have her again. “i have-i have a plan zander.” she says voice shaky. “i’m going to win the international cup next year and i’m going to go the olympics and get a gold medal for my country. and i am going to stand on that podium and smile because i worked for it. i can’t keep distracting myself, i have things i need to do. okay? i’m sorry but i can’t sit here and pretend that i can just be friends with you. you’re killing me, okay. you’re killing me. can’t you just get angry for once, just stop forgiving me for once!” she feels like an addict. veins humming at his very existence. he's so close to her and yet they're the farthes apart they've ever been. there's no peace, she thinks, while he stays here, beautiful and heart breaking. she can't do that, can't beg him to take her back when she's the one who pushed him away in the first place. myunghee has a plan.
sunglaon:
“No, no, no —” He lets out in despair as the motorbike he’s on starts to make screeching sounds and slowly comes to a halt, the lights flickering off in the following moments. No matter how many times he turns the key to start it back on, it lets out a few more squeaks before not responding anymore. “Fuck—” Laon’s already soaking wet by that point and he puts his hand down forcefully, as if hitting it will turn it back on. It’s not the fuel, he knows for sure, it has been only a few hours since he filled the tank. — Honestly, buying a second-hand Vespa wasn’t one of his brightest choices but it was working properly… until that point at least. He realizes soon after that it’s not going to fix itself on its own and looks around quickly before he pushes it to the curb. Luckily for him, he has stopped near a bus stop and he walks towards it, wanting to escape from the rain for the time being. He’s on his phone trying to figure out what to do when he hears her voice, and looks up, trying to offer a smile as he shakes his head. “I have no idea at all… you don’t happen to know anything about… mechanics, do you ?”
his presence is well known from the first move. entrance grand and something out of a drama. another one of her guilty pleasures she indulges in when she allows herself to indulge at all. “um.” she shifts uncomfortably reaching out a hand to touch the scooter and pulling it back. “i have a phone?” she says raising her eyebrows in question. “i could probably search it for you.” she steps out into the rain again for a brief moment to read the model inscription on the side of the scooter. stepping back in she nods firmly, prepared to help. her phone however does not agree as the screen goes dark. “no!” she cries, mouth agape. “no no no no no. oh gosh.” she stares at her phone in shock and disbelief, the betrayal is heartbreaking. “okay that’s fine, we can totally wing this.”

hui hasn’t exactly had the best life but since he made the fresh start here he’s been learning to adjust ( and doing much better at realizing not every corner has a SHARP edge ) , most of the things he’d had in life were S T O L E N from him before he could even truly grasp the concept of them. despite lifes hardships, hui isn’t interested in following the paths of the people who t o r e everything away from him therefore he doesn’t see the need to be unkind ever. they smile comfortingly as they ensure she’s entirely PROTECTED. “ nice to meet you and it’s a pleasure wouldn’t want you to suffer for no reason. i take it you aren’t having the greatest day ” they noted with a smile and nod.
she laughs, loud, and beaming like the sun at the absurdity of the whole situation. here she is with a stranger she barely knows, late for her meeting, and practically drowned. “i’m sorry, i’m so sorry.” she says teeth clenching to stop, but she doesn’t know what to do except for laugh. if she doesn’t she’ll probably cry in the street, and nobody wanted to see that. “this day has not turned out like i planned it too. thanks again for the umbrella.” another giggle escapes her and she clenches her hands into tiny, white-knuckled fists. myunghee resolves to keep her eyes firmly planted on the ground away from any sort of mental stimuli. she giggles again and buries her face in her neatly manicured hands.
mcnkyos:
adorned in a raincoat, alongside matching rain boots, one never left the house without a certain knowledge of the forecast. it could be said that it was due to her flaw of being obsessed with perfection & having no problems whatsoever but, she’d never admit to that. sitting upon the bench, the light patter of the rain pounding on the panes of glass whilst minkyo waited for the bus — - what she did not expect was to witness an angel in her line of vision. momentarily stunned, the beginning of her sentence starts with a stutter, ‘ i . . i- well . .- it’s, it’s coming, up. soon. yeah, soon. ’ she immediately desired to smack herself on the forehead.
the girl is shorter than her and myunghee can’t help but genuinely for the love of god grin at her. she looks a bit like a child in her raincoat and rain boots and it makes myunghee want to release an honest full bellied laugh. all that’s missing is a vinyl cap and the image would be a perfect rendition of one that sits on her parents dresser. “ah. thank you.” she says stepping back further into the protective shade of the bus stop. she pressed a knuckle to her mouth as she waited, peering off into the distance to see if she could spot it. with a small gasp she hurriedly pulled a compact and mirror out of her purse, setting to work to fix her appearance. she considered it one of her special skills to be able to appear composed within five minutes or less. “can i ask what you’re doing out here?” she says, smacking her lipstick.
moonsco:
—✧゚ ・゜seyeon scrutinized the stranger with curiosity b o u n c i n g off her brown orbs and an odd smile ( mostly resembling a smirk ) bleeding onto the petals of her mouth——whoever she was, the girl was pretty; the older woman’s teeth split apart the flesh of her bottom lip, nibbling it as she was too a b s o r b e d in her own thoughts, and DECIDED that the stranger had to take pride in her youthful beauty, innocent & pure. even those painstakingly apparent mud stains were not enough a distraction to successfully divert her gaze from the other’s face, as interest had completely conquered seyeon, the desire to get to know her better inundating her. and who was she to say no? “ sure. my club is a little bit far from here, though, it might be quite a long & expensive ride. ”
she’s the type of girl myunghee would have avoided in university. all red lipstick and hard curves battling with sharp angles. myunghee is soft, myunghee is gentle, myunghee is poised. she can’t tell whether her brain is reminding her or she is. a wave of intimidation pulses from the woman and she touches her own bitten lipstick, scrubbed in a fit of anxiety. the acceptance of the loss of her meeting comes and she perks up, ready to present who she’s supposed to me. “don’t worry it’s on me. i’m the one who came up with the idea.” myunghee bows, smile never moving. “i’m jo myunghee. thanks you...for not ignoring me.”

◜ * . ✧ ˙ ˖ —— classes had not long come to an end, results being an exhausted mind and LITTLE gained knowledge ( not because the class lacked substance, but, because jeaki f a i l e d to grasp at any of it… perhaps, he shouldn’t have stayed out so late watching the stars — but, how was one to resist a clear night sky? ), and the male was on his way home… usually, he’d walk, opt for the exercise over the experience of riding the bus, however, with the DOWNPOUR, jeaki saved himself from the sickness ( that he was prone to ). words captured attention ( which had been SLIGHTLY too distracted to noticed the presence of another ), obsidian irises finding the features of a familiar face and concern bled… she was soaked, victim to the weather. “ ah, myunghee! ” fingertips dug into a backpack, pulling fabric from the insides and offering it ( desperation alight in hues… he did not want to feel responsible for her sickness ), “ i think it’s in the next five minutes! ” he finally responded, despite, concern still being alight.
she looks a little funny in the hoodie. it’s about three sizes too big and completely un-befitting of the aesthetic she constantly carries. somehow it’s refreshing to see her a little human, she so often presents herself as marble she forgets she has a heartbeat. his face brings a soft smile to her. outside of her niche circle of fellow gymnasts and varied athletes jeaki is one of the few relatively normal people she knows. his presence is comforting in itself, he seems to her like a warm fire. which is something she needs considering the torrential downpour they’re being subjected to. “how’d you get caught out here?” she says muffled by the hoodie. he own bad decision making had both literally and figuratively put her in the middle of a storm. she outstretches a manincured hand to the warm rain, catching fat drops in her palm. cars whizz by leaving new waves in their wake and if myunghee wasn't drowned she might have thought it was beautiful. though she still preferred the snow over anything.
okay for the last time i will write all my replies tonight. i got distracted and watched like 15 episodes of death note to cleanse my soul from the 5 minutes of the movie i saw.

⸤ ♛ ⸣ the cigarette perched in between his lips was long forgotten as he entered the gym and started chewing on a piece of strawberry flavored bubblegum, the white stick thrown behind his tranquil steps, consumed and done for, a light trail of smoke emanating from the short end left. his hands were pocketed in his jeans, eyes flickering around the hallways of the immense building, walking in there with empty hands an alien feeling. he must had been really bored to having had found himself in the place he hadn’t stepped in ever since, not quite recalling how did he end up inside a building bearer of such golden, treasured memories. call it fate pulling and pushing strings back and forth until he dumbfoundedly arrived to the destination written in permanent ink. he peeked in a few rooms, coming to a halt once he located the one she was in, left shoulder and flank resting against the wide door’s frame, black tinted hues following her feathery motions in utter silence. apparently he had zoomed out, seeing how her question made him blink a couple of times and shake his head to wash away the numbness. in all honesty, he himself didn’t quite know why, or what was he doing there, he’d like to blame it to his oversaturated brain forcing his body to walk out of his room and get some fresh air away from the pile of work resting on his desktop. ❛ can’t a guy come by and check up on a friend just because? ❜ with a swift push he was away from the door and walking close to her spot, the tip of his tongue toying with the gum in his cavern. ❛ how have you been? is your knee feeling better? ❜ he’s kneeling in front of her and poking her leg by the time he was pronouncing the second question, doe eyes staring at her through long, thick eyelashes.
her heart catches in her throat and somehow everything melts. she wants to cry at his face, wants to clutch her hands in his shirt and tell him everything she feels. but they’re friends, friends. the word is bitter in her mouth. they both know they’re not friends. they both know that they lie out of necessity to pretend they’re amicable. when in reality they’re wobbling on a tight rope of lingering feelings and lingering betrayal. it seems her world has only deteriorated since he left it. she shoved him out more like. she had pushed him away to win but what had that gotten her? a combined mcl and acl tear and nine months in physical therapy. the universe had a sick sense of humor she supposed. myunghee stiffens at his touch, knees locking. she steps back, afraid if he touches her anymore everything that she’s so carefully tucked up might come tumbling out. “my knee is fine.” it’s a lie, she knows it is but isn’t that what they do now. lie to each other, this whole situation is a lie. but nobody is making a movie to change it. “and i’m fine. i’m doing fine.” another lie.
hi yes i know i’ve been gone i’m sorry i was super busy and just couldn’t find the motivation to write but all replies are being done tonight!
