I got a coworker who does not like musicals. He likes 4 things; chess, coffee, biking and his wife.

However his wife loves musicals, so he's seen a couple against his will. He does not remember the plot, the title or any of the songs but here are his descriptions:

"the guillotine" it was old fashioned and people sang about singing. (He meant Les Mis, and he was adamant that he remembered there being a guillotine. Had to double check his ticket for him to admit I was right abt there not being one)

"Anne... Frank?" Ginger girl got adopted (He meant Annie. He knew Anne Frank the Musical didn't sound right but was the closest he could get.

"Clap!" (He meant stomp. I asked for a description, he admitted to not remembering anything, but he did remember it was a NOISE and when I asked if he meant Stomp he said yes.)

And the last one was the musical Chess which he remembered because he loves Chess.

today i found out that victor hugo has had more sex than possibly almost any other human that has lived on this planet. 

he had so much sex his biographers straight up gave up trying to document all of his sexual partners. he was reported to fuck up to 3-9 times a day. He had a secret sex diary written in code. He had “official” and “unofficial” mistresses. One estimate was that he had ~200 sexual partners in two years.

Killian Donnelly (Jean Valjean) and David Thaxton (Javert)

About 4~5 years ago I posted about wanting them to play JVJ and Javert. Last week, I actually got to watch that happen. And it was fantastic.

When people review shows they focus a lot on individual performances, but chemistry between actors is so important - and these two have it in abundance.

[I couldn’t stop smiling every time they were on stage together…which, given the context of the show, was probably an odd thing to do.]
