It's happening. I've written the first chapter. Are you ready? I know I am.

'Eden has spent the last ten years of her life pretending Basgiath is only an island, sitting in the middle of the Indian Ocean. A geographical phenomena of rock, jungle and sweeping sandy beaches. She has tried her best not to think about the research domes, the electric fences or the tech entrepreneurs who sponsor politicians to visit the island on their campaign tours. Basgiath is what happens when you place evolution into the hands of rich men who believe they are gods.'

Got some exciting pieces of writing on the go at the moment. One of them, a Norse inspired dark academic fantasy romance, centred around the three fates, a loop of destiny and a boy who destroys the world to become the master of death.

Aelith cannot breathe. The stairwell falls away and it is replaced with his mouth against her wrist. Her blood on his tongue and a voice of dark honey promising her that the price is worth it. “Death is a thief and I will not let it take you Aelith.”

Why are the men in fan art never wearing any shirts under their armour? It's extremely impractical.

For one. They must be cold.

Secondly. It sort of defeats the purpose of wearing armour.

“I’m not worried about missing you too much,” he bites, sitting up. He presses a finger to her chin, angling her head towards his, “I’m worried about him,” he nods towards Horse who is batting her mare's head out of the way so he can sniff at the flowers. “He’s grown quite fond of you.”

“The horse has grown fond of me,” she breathes as he presses forward, hovering over her. His mouth perilously close to hers. “How sweet, and what about you? Have you grown fond of me?”

He smiles, lazy and dangerous. The sight turns her insides to liquid warmth. “Something like that,” he drones, pressing his lips against hers softly. Her lips part and she hums a soft note of surprise.

She tastes of honeysuckle and strawberries and it is the sweetest thing he has ever tasted.

Just a quick update to say I have not disappeared. Life has been a tad unhinged lately and between working a full time job, doing final edits on my origional novel, writing my second and moving house in a couple of weeks...my extra time is severely limited.

I've started playing Assassins Creed again. That's when I know the stress is out of control.

Writing the next two chapters of Stonebound, because I came up with one line that I simply cannot get out of my head and must commit it to a scene immediately.

Apparently I don't have good enough karma to post on reddit so sharing here! My recent observation, as I reread ACOWAR. Did Rhysand really fight for the human-Fae alliance?

I also note that the forge is on the western side, and Hybern is located west of Pyrithian.

There is nothing quite as disappointing as opening a book, excited because you enjoy the authors writing, and not being able to read it because the sentences don't make any sense and it's over written. I'm 99% sure the book as been written either by AI or with heavy input by AI.

I even went back to the authors past books and the writing style has completely changed. It is such a shame that these tools are taking the soul out of the writing process.

I've finished rereading ACOMAF and here's my honest take. Rhysand is a lazy ass no gooder who is still hiding something in his pockets.

Chapter 54 is a whole lot of nonsense. Wdjm Amarantha had shielded herself from physical attacks but Tamlin was able to kill her?

But I can't stop thinking about this:

The first is in Hybern. Sarah says multiple times that the bond between them is blocked and later, Amren says the bond is impossible to break but she doesn't say what bond, only 'that sort of bond'. Surely, she would say the mating bond if that's what she meant.

And, as if by magic, Rhysand squirreled Feyre away in the dead of night and made her swear an identical bargain to the one Hybern breaks.

Extremely sus.

If he ends up being the big bad guy, honestly I'm here for it.

hi, can I actually request Aria (from godless) x Xaden

Where she be friends this seamstress and the seamstress is obsessed with seeing her as her model and making her her model and so she has so many different new dresses, but seamstress specializes in something very specific, which is very nice teasing nightgowns

And then, sometimes during a late night meeting, she will just wear a robe over the nightgowns because it’s an informal meeting with Liam and Xaden’s inner circle, and every single time it distracts Xaden and it annoys him that everybody else gets to see her dress like this mind you she’s still wearing a robe so it’s not like she’s bare, but he still doesn’t like to share. And it’s very clear in the way he always tracks her as she moves to make sure that she’s not like revealing anything. It also doesn’t help that Bodhi and Liam are flirting with her just to piss Xaden off

I haven't forgotten about this ask. In fact, it may have made it's way into my part 2 outline.

I am currently revising Godless (click title for link to A03) in anticipation for continuing Part 2 and it's so good to be back in Aria's head. I mean -

“Humans are so delicate. All it takes is a little nudge, a promise and a mating bond. It is enough to make you believe that what you feel is love when instead it is a prison.”

I find it curious that Rhysand didn't take the minds of the human Queens in ACOMAF and wipe Velaris from their memory when they refused to give over the second half of the book.

I also find it curious that he said 'war is sacrifice' to Feyre when she tried to convince him not to give up Velaris.

I also find it curious that Rhysand is missing when Velaris, and by proxy his new mate is attacked.

I need someone to explain to me why Rhysand needed to demanti-mind-control the entire Court of Nightmares under the mountain to keep Velaris safe when...they don't know it exists?

This, one of the first things we are told about Elain, is going to be pivotal for her character arc. Mark my words.
