Save has a Starred Shield, which is a second semi-magical and iconic weapon. weapon? armor? shield.

just like the sword, Save can summon this shield to themselves. this is not summoning a new shield, and Save cannot teleport to the shield.
and now the interesting thing.
Save can defend themselves with a shield, and not just wear a shield as a protective accessory. "ShieldUp" skill allows you to switch to defense mode. from the outside, everything is clear, Save can block an attack by simply raising a shield, but if you look at it through the eyes of a game character (meant Player), then this is something interesting. this mode resembles the green soul mode, but the soul can move, albeit at a lower speed (setting SPEED to 2, to be more precise, that under normal conditions it is just a halving of speed).
this shield can block attacks, but not indefinitely. the shield has its own stamina/health parameter, and if this parameter drops to 0, the shield mode will instantly turn off. this parameter is reduced by blocked damage, so we can call it "Shield HP" (character DF isn't taking into account for this parameter). Shield HP (SHP) = 50 by default. by default, it cannot block a piercing attacks (and lasers). KARMA and other status effects do not work on the shield.
near save point the shield will have 75 SHP, 5 Shield DF (SDF) and will block piercing attacks, but it will cause triple damage to the shield's durability.
near MSP shield will have 100 SHP, 10 SDF and will block blasters, but due to the power of the blasters, the shield owner will be pushed back throughout the attack. the force of repulsion depends on the power of the blaster.
!even if the amount of damage of 1 attack exceeds the shield's health, the shield will block all damage.
"but this is OP-" dude, the shield only protects on only one side at time.
that BSP could have arranged anything, but in the end it just ruined them and their AU. and literally anything could have happened. but we'll come back to that later.
the dates don't match. the beginning of the functioning of Save began much later than the destruction of ViskentTale. and yes, there is an explanation for this.
all these 4.5 months, they was in a state of hibernation. what? yes. they died, and all this time they was "recovering" in an already formed Void File. MSP is really cool stuff, if just passively radiating its energy, it could make a buggy corpse... well, what we have now. oh, about this.
there is an intermediate stage in this state between a living Gordon and a functional SAVE!Frisk. and it's called Null!Frisk.
the peculiarity of this "stage" is that it is, in fact, a kind of chameleon. depending on the environment and situations, it may become something else by the end of hibernation. if the environment does not affect Null!Frisk in any way, and the hibernation has already ended, then they will remain Null!Frisk. it is difficult to say anything definite about them. probably only that they are terribly unstable.
how to make Null!Frisk? cruelly. some negative effects from BSP contribute to this. this is mainly due to consequence number 19 (breaking the code). and optionally death (21). it doesn't have to be Gordon, it can be... anyone.

can Null!Frisk become something other than SAVE!Frisk? yes.
(and Gordon might not have been badly affected by BSP, or something else might have happened, but... huh.)
there are a lot of options. but it's worth considering that these are not alternative SAVE!Frisk, but just alternative Frisks.

loyalty: Save can summon this sword to themselves from anywhere in the multiverse at any time. it is worth considering that this is not the creation of a new sword, but the teleportation of the sword to Save. Save can't teleport to the sword.
I dunno, imagine this skill like this:
enhancement: next to save points, the sword will increase its damage (to +15 AT) and gain the ability to make long-range attacks with swings (long range attack does 100% damage, and swing does 200% damage). it should be borne in mind that a long-range sword attack is a separate attack, it is not an ability that activates with any swing, but a separate full-fledged skill. the sword will also glow orange-yellow. near MSP: increase AT to +20; the sword will shine with an orange flame.

I like receiving asks! especially if they relate to SAVE!Frisk.
I mean, these doodles are dedicated to something that I once forgot to mention. in the Void File, in addition to the usual grass, there are these two types of flowers. the one on the left mostly grows in the center, around the MSP. the one on the right grows in the other places of Void File.
they're just beautiful and don't have any special effects or anything. they can also be quite large. like... 3 feet?..
these flowers are self-pollinating, and their pollen and seeds are luminescent.
