𝑃𝑂𝐿𝐼𝐶𝐸 𝐴𝐶𝐴𝐷𝐸𝑀𝑌 𝐷𝐼𝐷 𝑁𝑂𝑇 𝑃𝑅𝐸𝑃𝐴𝑅𝐸 𝐻𝐼𝑀 𝐹𝑂𝑅 𝑇𝐻𝐼𝑆 ; Leon braces for the inevitable impact and screams ‘till his voice warned to break. ❝ SHIT ! ❞ Like a comet with no crash trajectory, the vehicle smashed against concrete and tumbled, leaving behind a trail of chaos and mayhem. Everything inside the police car resembled a hash ‘n dry machine, spinning out of control, Leon’s body jerked, collided with Jill’s own until both became a living, twisted mess.
Suspended by the seat belt keeping him secure, Leon winced in excruciating pain. ❝ Argh ! ❞ Blinding concussion, white noise ringing in his ears, blood pressure rushing ; he’s upside down and secure to a seat belt, but as his vision returns gradually, he witnessed how Jill was the least lucky of the two. Without any seat belt, only God knew right now if she’s still alive and breathing.
❝ H - Hang on! Damnit . . . ❞ His hands desperately rummage about, set off in search of the belt’s security and with enough precision, Leon unclips himself and crashes deliberately on his side against the car’s hood. ❝ Jesus ! ❞ Pain, so much pain, it’s almost fucking unbearable and it’s that same pain that makes him hyper-aware, capable of picking up noises of loud boots stomping outside.
Worming about and catching a closer glimpse, its evident that she’s going to need to recover and is in no fighting chance, or even fleeing chance at this point in time. It’s his fault, all of this is his fault, he could’ve avoided it and the bubbling frustration causes his hands to ball up, turning into fists. ❝ Stay here, don’t come out. I’ll try to lure him off so you can run ! ❞ If she hears him or not, Leon didn’t care.
One chance to redeem, one chance to do actual good. Turning on his back and propping on both elbows, Leon sprung in both legs and smashed them, again, again and again ‘till the hinges gave in and the bent door catapulted out. Only one survivor crawled out and he had God to thank that there’s space between him and the monster.
Unsheathing a standard firearm and pointing in that ‘ 𝑇𝐻𝐼𝑁𝐺'𝑆 ‘ direction, Leon’s knees suddenly quivered, feeling weak from fear. That monster’s entire existence debilitated our rookie, but he had to do this ! One shot had been fired, a second shot but instead of staying put, Leon began to backtrack and shoot as if to lure the beast away from the car. He hoped to Hell that this would work, because as soon it will leave the car alone, Leon will turn tail and run as fast as he can into Raccoon City’s dead heart.
𝐉𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐒 𝐌𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐀𝐑. she can’t recall how many tumbles they took or how far the car went before crashing. all she can perceive is a hot gust of wind skimming past, carrying the heavy stench of fumes & sulfur from the street. it burns like acid ───── like her throat & lungs are being scorched & torn, forcing the injured woman to suddenly cough ───── only for the other senses to finally reach her, or rather, the sheer lack of as one of her legs has gone utterly numb, & there’s a sharp object stabbed into her lower rib. f*cking glass, she hazily figures, feeling the slim yet modest piece shift about with each & every subtle breath. ❝ gh.... a-ah..... ❞ it’s damn near impossible to re-focus. jill feels as if a truck just drove straight through her, forcing the brows to knit tightly together in pain. ❝ . . . . . !! ❞
just then, a distant echo works its way in, beaten down by the crackling of raging fire. she slightly tilts her bleeding head against the roof, trying to force the mind to somewhat separate the sounds like one does with audio recordings, the crackling of fire on one side, the thudding of boots on the other. & then the male voice she very well may or may not be imagining at this point. ❝ s...... ay.... here..... ─n’t.... ome.... out, ❞ it calls, strengthening the once bleary focus; ❝ i’ll.... lure him off so you.... can run! ❞ oh, jill knows she’s not delirious now.
slowly parting the heavy lashes, tired eyes peer through the smog & almost instantly remember the fraught situation she’s in, the very monstrosity that’s currently makings its way here. ❝ s─ ..... shit.... ❞ coughing hard against the hot steel, the injured woman takes a glance at the piece of glass sticking out & just before attempting to reach in, the booming gunshots make her heart jolt, freezing the bloody fingers in mid-air. ❝ ....... ?! ❞ no, no way. did that rookie just───── ?!
breathlessly turning her head to the other side, jill stares in horror as nemesis walks right through the wall of festering flames, as well as the two fired bullets which pierce into his black coat in quick succession.... only to fall flat like pebbles against the concrete. the material completely unscathed by their vicious bite. ❝ don’t.... !!! ❞ jill screams, instinctively taking hold of the bloodied glass before yanking it out; ❝ NGH── RUN!!!!! ❞
much to leon’s luck & dismay however, those two hits were enough. the living mass of horror suddenly stops. he bends back, throws both muscular arms to the sides & with the maw jarring wide open, bellows in a booming, inhumane roar. it echoes like rolling-thunder across the raccoon city, catching the attention of the many zombies which now start to swarm the street from each entrance & alley, turning jill’s saliva straight into sawdust. their time.... is running out.
the monster bursts into a sprint, running at none other than leon kennedy.
