I was tagged by @franglishetchocolat to share a little bit more about myself. Thank you for thinking of us TSD veterans, Tedhi! :D

How long have you been playing the Sims?

It’s funny to read about Tedhi’s first interaction with open world by playing with Playmobil because it was the same case for me! The first one I’ve got as kid was a Shelby gas station and I loved the hell out of that thing (still have it). So much that sparked this joy with the simulation. 

Anyway...

I’ve been playing the Sims since 2004 (I think). I was turning 7 and we were at a family friends’ house for your typical kid’s birthday party. I remember we ended up going to the study room and someone inserted the Sims 2 disc on the computer to play. I only watched others playing, but I was amazed by it. I ended up asking my mother for it later on Christmas that year. So yeah, I’ve been playing it for over 17 years. Wow... That is way too long. lol Started with The Sims 2, ended up checking out The Sims 1 (loved it as well) and The Sims 3 was the franchise at its finest. I bought The Sims 4 when it come out but I was disappointed... So much that I haven’t bought nothing else from this generation. It was a downgrade imo... But hey, if you’re reading this and you love it, awesome! That’s what we are here for. To enjoy ourselves and share it with the community.

How long have you been a Simblr and why did you become one?

I’m not sure, tbh. According to the archive ever since November 2012... And I’m pretty sure I joined because everyone else from TSD was around here as well, so I decided to join. Was around the hype of Sims 3 University... Can’t believe it was almost 9 years ago!

What type of Simblr are you?

Like Tedhi said... A terrible one. Many gaps where I just disappear out of thin air and then come back out of the bloom. But I’m trying to change that... I guess life just happens sometimes. Maybe that’s the reason why I jumped to The Sims 2 for a bit. It’s more manageable, you know? I remember that on my The Sims 3 days I spent more time downloading and sorting CC than actual playing (still have eveything on a HD though). 

Which generation of Sims do you primarily play?

- Game-wise: Currently playing The Sims 2. Planning to go back to The Sims 3 someday... but I need some courage for that :D

- Sim-wise: I play with the typical fresh out of town couple with their young child. Cliché!

Upstairs from the nerd shop there’s a games room / coffee shop.

There are plenty of games here to keep my nerdy Simmies occupied: Mahjong, Don't Wake the Llama, Chess… and of course, a RPG corner!

On a side note, I learned how to convert stuff from Sims 3 to Sims 2 and with Sandy’s authorization @aroundthesims I converted her D&D posters for my game. And also that dragon tapestry from Dragon Valley... Not as easy as one might think but they turned out great! #proud

My college sims are in need of places to hang out so I’ve been renovating some of Maxis’ lots. Starting with the University Way Shops, featuring a nerd shop.

After grabbing a slice or two, Ashley joined Castor upstairs for a pool game.

Last song: This is going to sound nuts, but lately I’ve been listening to the real life versions of songs that play on The Sims 2 College Rock Radio Station. Really great stuff! Last one I heard was Sway by The Perishers.

Last movie: This afternoon with my girlfriend. Crazy, Stupid, Love. I do enjoy some rom-com from time to time and this was a good one. Fantastic cast: Michael Scott, Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone...

Currently watching: Law & Order: Special Victims Unit season 4. Ran out of shows to watch during lockdown so I started watching it since the beggining. With its 22 seasons, It’ll keep me busy for a while :P

After the mascot, a streaker decided to stop by. Joshua seemed pleased with what he saw.

Lastly on the frat brothers household, here’s Castor. He is currently in his Freshman year studying Philosophy and intends to reach the highest grade.

Castor is the cool man on campus that marches to the beat of his own drum and makes all the girls swoon. He enjoys coffee shops, music and a good conversation. 

Many of the pre-made female students at Sim State have crushes on him, though he doesn't seem to be aware of this. Maybe one of them will take the first step?

Ashley Pitts is a Sim State University college student majoring in Mathematics in his Sophomore year. He is another one of the Urele-Oresha-Cham Greek House frat brothers.

Ashley is extremely outgoing, but also extremely grouchy; thus, even though his aspiration is Romance, he hates flirting, hugging, and other romantic social interactions. Yet, his LTW is to WooHoo with 20 Different Sims...

According to his biography, he is often found staring at himself at the mirror, and described to stare at his reflection "for hours". He is also very sloppy. His major interests are sports, health, and money.

Joshua Ruben is another member of the Urele-Oresha-Cham Fraternity. He attends college with his twin brother Martin, who lives in the Bright household, and he is in his Freshman year.

Joshua has a crush on the Sorority sister Tiffany Sampson, although he wants it to be more than that. He doesn't have an opinion on what major he wants, since he is too easily distracted by sorority girls and pizza. Since his LTW is to become a business tycoon, I declared his major in economics. 

He’s your typical jock, in contrast to his brother, who looks rather like a computer geek. Joshua isn’t very bright, although that could be due to his lack of focus. But girls dig him... And that’s good enough for Josh.

Kevin is a member of the Urele-Oresha-Cham Fraternity along with Ashley, Castor and Joshua. He is studying Psychology and is in his Freshman year.

Kevin is the charming nice guy that just can't seem to get the girl, unlike the other Frat brothers. He's often been called the "Teddy Bear" of his Frat house.

Being a family sim, he wishes to find true love at university. With his degree he aspires to join the SCIA or the law career.

Kitchen area. Doesn’t get used that often as members go visit campus autonomously, bringing back pizza every freaking hour, so they’re on a strict pizza diet. Joshua knows how to make some sweet pancakes though (having the highest culinary skill, at level 3).
