summary: heâs your best friend. he also happens to be a stripper and the moment you finally see him onstage changes the entire trajectory of your friendship
The shrill chirp of your phone alarm dragged you out of a dream that dissolved the second your eyes cracked open. Too bright. Too early. Too⊠Thursday. You groaned, rolling onto your back and immediately regretting it when the sunlight knifed through the window, slicing across your face as you flung your blankets off with a dramatic sigh and sat up in your bed, the cotton of your oversized tshirt twisting at your hips. It was one of your oldest pieces of clothing, some faded college logo, soft from years of wear, and hung halfway to your thighs. You shuffled your way toward the bathroom with all the grace of a zombie in compression socks. The apartment was quiet, save for the hum of the fridge and the distant sound of the city starting to wake up outside your window. The air smelled faintly like Mingiâs shampoo, minty, clean, and the lemon candle youâd left burning on the kitchen counter overnight.
You were halfway through a yawn when you turned the corner into the narrow hallway and smacked face to chest first into Mingi. âOofâŠshit, sorryâŠ.â he muttered, stepping back as your breath caught in your throat and your hand shot out to steady yourself against his chest. Bare chest. Warm and solid and way too close. His skin was still damp from a shower, short messy black hair sticking up everywhere, a towel slung over one shoulder, and he was wearing nothing but⊠boxers. Black Calvin Kleins. Low on his hips. Hugging his thighs like they were painted on. Youâd seen him like this before. So many times. Post showers. Late nights. Early mornings. But lately? Lately, it was driving you crazy. His eyes dropped to where your hand still rested against his chest and your fingers twitched as if suddenly aware of the contact making you jerk your hand back like youâd been burned. âI didnât think you were up yet,â you said quickly, voice still rough with sleep. He grinned, lazy and unbothered. âDidnât think you were awake either. You usually donât roll outta bed until after you threaten your alarm like it owes you money.â
âRude,â you muttered, stepping past him to the bathroom, careful not to brush against him again. But Mingi didnât move. He just stood there for a second, eyes lingering on your legs, bare beneath the hem of that shirt. That shirt he recognized, because it used to be his. You didnât look back, but you felt it, his gaze on your thighs, on the way your hips shifted as you moved. You turned on the faucet and closed the bathroom door a little too fast and leaned on the counter, heart thudding in your chest like it knew something your brain was still trying to deny.
By the time you remerged from the bathroom, hair damp and wrapped up in a towel, the apartment had settled into its usual late morning rhythm. The AC hummed through the vents, the coffee machine gurgled in protest as it brewed something criminally bitter, and from the living room, the low buzz of the TV drifted down the hallway as you padded barefoot into the kitchen, now dressed in light blue scrubs that hugged in all the wrong places when you were running late. You grabbed a travel mug from the drying rack and poured what might have been coffee and might have been battery acid. Then you saw Mingi laid out across the couch like sin in sweatpants. Still shirtless. Still glowing from his shower. Still smug as hell. His long legs were stretched out, one ankle hooked over the other. He had a half smoked blunt pinched between his fingers, resting on his stomach like it belonged there. His hair had started to dry in messy. On the TV, some loud anime was playing, subtitles on, volume low as he looked over at you like he always did. Like he didnât even realize how unfair he was being just by existing. âYou look cute in blue,â he said casually, eyes dropping to your chest for a beat too long before dragging back up.
âShut up,â you muttered, trying to sip your coffee like your face wasnât burning. âWhat?â he grinned. âI meant it.â You rolled your eyes and turned back to the counter, pretending to dig through the junk drawer for a pen that wasnât there. You needed to breathe. You needed to not look at his abs. Or his chest. Or that faint little glimpse of a happy trail disappearing under theâŠ. âI donât get why you work mornings,â he said through a cloud of smoke. âYouâre always dead inside before noon.â You rolled your eyes. âBecause not all of us can grind three nights a week and come home with enough cash to pay rent and buy overpriced cereal,â you fired back.
âJealous?â he teased, voice low and smoky as you glanced over your shoulderâŠ. mistake. He had his arms behind his head now, which only made the cut of his biceps more obvious. The blunt dangled from his lips as he smirked around it and you had to turn back around, muttering, âI hate you.â He laughed, so sure of himself. âNo you donât.â You didnât answer. Because he was right. And if you stayed any longer, you were going to say something stupid, like how much you liked the way he smelled in the mornings, or how the sound of his voice saying good girl during one of your dreams last week had woken you up in a sweat. So instead, you grabbed your keys. âIâm gonna be late,â you said, tossing him one last look on your way out the door. âDonât burn the couch.â He waved you off. âNo promises,â he called after you, grinning with the blunt still between his teeth.
The hospital was already buzzing when you arrived, nurses huddled over clipboards at the station, the smell of antiseptic biting at the back of your throat, and call lights flickering like a Christmas display gone rogue. You clocked in, grabbed your patient sheets, and headed to the break room to caffeinate before the chaos could fully begin. Seonghwa was already there, perched on the edge of the worn sofa like he didnât have a single bone in his body. Dressed in his usual scrubs. black, fitted and unfair, he looked like he belonged on the cover of a medical drama, not elbow deep in bedpans and IV drips like the rest of you. He looked up the moment you walked in, smirk already forming. âLate night?â You sighed. âHardly,â you grumbled, pouring your second cup of coffee for the day. âI just had to deal with Mingi being shirtless and smug at seven in the goddamn morning.â A knowing look formed in his eyes. âAh,â Seonghwa said, amused. âSo a normal Thursday.â You shot him a look over your shoulder, and he laughed, swinging his stethoscope around one finger. âYou know,â he said casually, like he wasnât about to drop a conversational grenade, âIâve known Mingi for three years now. Worked with him every Friday night at Velvet Inferno. And I still donât get how youâve never seen his show.â
You stiffened. âIâve been busy,â you said quickly, reaching for the coffee creamer like it would shield you. âFor three years?â Seonghwa scoffed. âI work weekends sometimes.â You argued as he tilted his head. âYou had last weekend off.â You stirred your coffee too hard, spilling a little. âMaybe I just donât want to see my best friend grinding on strangers in leather pants.â Seonghwa arched a perfect brow in amusement. âStrangers? Or you?â You froze, fingers tightening around the mug as he leaned forward, voice lower now, teasing but not unkind. âLook, Iâm not judging. Honestly? I think itâs kind of sweet. But Iâve seen the way he looks at you when he thinks youâre not watching. And Iâve seen the way you look at him when you think Iâm not watching.â You opened your mouth, ready to deny everythingâŠ. but nothing came out. Because what could you say? That the idea of seeing Mingi danceâŠ. seeing him like thatâŠ. scared the hell out of you? Because if you did, everything might change. Seonghwa smiled, leaning back. âJust come this Saturday. Just once. You donât even have to tell him. Iâll put you in the back. No pressure. But I think you need to see what everyone else already knows.â You swallowed hard, heart thudding in your chest. And you hated that a tiny voice in your head whispered you wanted to go.
The sun was dipping low by the time you pulled into your usual spot in the apartment complex lot, the air thick and heavy with the scent of summer rain still lingering from earlier. Your body ached, shoulders tight, feet on fire, and your brain running on its last ounce of caffeine and spite. All you wanted was a hot shower and silence as you dragged yourself up the stairs to your apartment and pushed the key into the lock just as the door opened from the inside. âWhoa⊠oh hey,â Mingi said, stopping short when he nearly walked right into you. âTiming.â You blinked up at him, a little stunned. He was in his usual off duty gear: oversized black tee hanging loose over baggy sweats, worn Vans on his feet, a crossbody slung over his chest. His hair was damp and tousled like heâd just showered, and he smelled like cedarwood and laundry detergent. Comfort and home to you. âHeading out?â you asked, adjusting your bag on your shoulder as he nodded, stepping aside to let you in. âYeah, club night. You good?â
âLong day,â you said, toeing off your sneakers, âone guy tried to bite me. That was new.â Mingi let out a breathy laugh, keys jingling in his hand. âYour jobâs wild.â You snorted. âSays the guy whose job title might as well be professional panty dropper.â He smirked. âExotic dancer, thank you.â You rolled your eyes, but your lips tugged up at the corners as he glanced at the clock on his phone. âI gotta run or Hongjoongâll give my slot to San.â You waved him off. âGo shake your ass for the masses.â He saluted you as he walked out the door. âAlways do.â And just like that, he was gone, door closing softly behind him leaving you standing there for a minute, the silence settling around you. Then, as you made your way to the kitchen, you paused, eyes drifting toward the living room where his hoodie hung over the back of the couch.
Youâd known Mingi danced. Youâd joked about it, teased him about it, supported him in theory. But youâd never actually seen him at work. Never seen what he became when the lights hit him, when the music started, when the shirt came off. You didnât even know what he wore onstage. Just the vague idea that it was⊠not much. And now? Now the curiosity had claws as you opened the fridge and muttered to yourself, âWhat the hell does he wear?â The curiosity stayed with you as you settled in. The movie you picked was already thirty minutes in, something easy and familiar youâd seen a dozen times before. It played low on the TV while you lounged on the couch, fresh out of the shower now and buried in a hoodie that still smelled a little like your favorite fabric softener. Your legs were tucked under a throw blanket, but your mind wasnât anywhere near the screen. It was with him still as you stared blankly at the movie, but your brain kept chewing on the same question you hadnât let yourself fully ask until now. Why havenât you gone to see him perform?
Heâd been working there for over three years. Seonghwa did Friday nights. Hell, heâd had even joked once about how you were the only person in Orlando who hadnât seen Mingi shirtless under a spotlight. So why? Why had you avoided it like it would ruin you? Your fingers tightened slightly around the blanket. Because you knew exactly why. It wasnât about the fact that he danced. It wasnât about the teasing, or the way heâd wink when you told him to shut up, or how heâd come home at 3:00 am still buzzing with energy, collapsing on the couch to eat cereal straight from the box. No. It was because youâd already seen it once. Not the stage lights. Not the show. But close. A year ago. You had just gotten home late from your first overnight shift. Quietly unlocked the door, trying not to wake him. But the second you stepped insideâŠâŠ you heard it first. Low moans. Gasping breaths. The unmistakable rhythm of someone getting absolutely wrecked. You hadnât meant to look. You really hadnât. But you turned your head anyway, and there he wasâŠ.. Mingi, shirtless and flushed, sweat slicked and panting, one hand braced against the back of the couch while the other gripped the thigh of the girl riding him.
You remembered her, she used to come by a lot. A regular at the club, youâd later find out. Gorgeous, confident, the type of girl who knew what she wanted and went after it. And she had Mingi wrapped around her like he was hers. Youâd frozen in the entryway. Couldnât move. Couldnât breathe. He didnât even notice you. Too far gone. Eyes dark, jaw slack, letting out a low groan that made your knees buckle. Youâd backed out the door like a ghost, quietly closing it behind you. He never found out you saw. And you never told him. But that night had haunted you. Not because he was having sex. But because for the first time in your life, you realized how badly you wanted to be the one underneath him. And ever since then? Youâd kept your distance. In all the ways that counted. Because if seeing him like that from across the room nearly broke you⊠what the hell would happen if you watched him onstage, knowing that, for three nights a week, Mingi wasnât just your best friend anymore. He was fantasy. And worse? You werenât just craving the fantasy. You wanted the real thing.
The movie had long since faded into background noise, the credits rolling over a dramatic orchestral swell you didnât register as you sat curled on the couch, blanket tucked around you, bowl of popcorn untouched in your lap, eyes fixed on nothing in particular. You were thinking about him still. Of course you were. The way he looked earlier, casual, smiling, smelling like shampoo and cologne. Youâd bumped into him like it was nothing, like he wasnât your best friend, like he didnât get up onstage hours later and become someone else entirely. Someone youâd never seen. Someone the rest of the world paid to see. And you? You kept pretending like you didnât want to know what he looked like under those lights. But God, you did. You tossed the blanket off your lap and stood, pacing without realizing it. Every logical part of your brain was screaming donât go. That this was a terrible idea. That seeing Mingi in his elementâŠ. seeing him be seductive, powerful, untouchable⊠wasnât going to fix anything. Maybe it would even break something. But your heart had already made the call. Fuck it.
Maybe if you saw it for yourself, really saw it, you could finally snap out of this stupid crush. Put it to bed. Get over the fantasy. Even though every part of you knew that was a lie. You grabbed your phone off the charger and opened your messages, thumbing through the chaos of your shift notes until you found the thread with Seonghwa and let him know you wanted to go tomorrow night and then locked your phone and stared at the wall for a long time while in your chest, your heart thudded a little too loud, a little too fast, as you whispered to yourself, âThis is probably gonna make it worse.â
The street outside Velvet Inferno was packed, black ropes, velvet lined doors, sharp dressed people waiting with anticipation and lip gloss, some hoping to get in, others already drunk off the idea of it. But you werenât waiting in line. Not tonight. Not when you were with Seonghwa, who nodded at the bouncer with a smirk and tugged you gently by the wrist. âStill time to run, you know,â he said as he led you down the side alley toward the back entrance. His tone was teasing, but there was something else in it too, like he wasnât sure if he should be dragging you in or dragging you away. âI said I was coming,â you murmured, adjusting the off shoulder sleeve of your black corset top. âAnd I didnât think you meant it,â he shot back, glancing you up and down. âNot looking like that, anyway.â You ignored the warmth creeping up your neck. Your outfit had taken a solid hour of second guessing. Corset laced, form fitting black top. Wide leg dark jeans studded along the seams. Towering platform shoes that made your legs look unreal and your presence even taller than it already felt.
The hallway behind the club was dimly lit and smelled like fog machine residue and cologne. Seonghwa tapped a few beats on the staff door and the guy working security cracked it open, giving him a nod before letting you both slip inside. The dressing rooms were just ahead. Music pulsed faintly through the walls, heavy bass, muffled cheering, the rush of a crowd already half lost in the show. Mingi was somewhere in there. Completely unaware. Seonghwa led you out from the back and into the main heart of the club, bringing you towards the bar. He just grinned, lounging back as a server dropped off your drinks and you took a slow sip of yours, trying to act cool, trying not to let the rising hum in your chest give you away. Because any second now, Mingi would be on stage. And you had no idea what you were about to see. Youâd only ever known him in hoodies and backwards hats, baggy sweats and sleepy eyes. That was your Mingi. But this? This was his world. And for once, you were stepping into itâŠ..
Backstage at Velvet Inferno was a whole world of its own. Dimly lit mirrors flickered with rows of bulbs, costumes and props scattered across hooks and benches. The air was thick with cologne, sweat, body glitter, and ego. Music from the stage thumped through the walls like a second pulse, and somewhere out front, the crowd was already screaming. San was stretching, shirtless and grinning like a menace. His routine was up next. Yeosang sat on the bench nearby, buttoning a tight, sheer black shirt over his bare chest, his movements slow and precise, like every inch of him knew it was being watched even back here. Mingi was in the corner, half dressed, tugging on a pair of tight black jeans, shirt still slung over his shoulder. He wasnât on for another two sets, but he liked being ready early. And then there was Wooyoung, draped over the bench like a cat in heat, groaning into the crook of his elbow. âGod, Iâm so horny,â he whined, flopping dramatically. âSan and I need a third. Iâm tired of rotating amateurs.â
âMaybe stop scaring them off,â Yeosang muttered, sliding on his rings and Wooyoung sat up, eyes gleaming, completely unfazed. âYou know what? We should ask her.â Mingi looked up. âWho?â Something was telling him he wasnât going to like what Wooyoung was about to say. âYour roommate,â Wooyoung said with a grin. âWhatâs her name again?â Mingi blinked, jaw clenching a little. âWhy?â Wooyoung better not fucking say itâŠ.. âSheâs hot,â Wooyoung said easily. âAnd if sheâs lived with you this long, sheâs probably used to the lifestyle. San and I need someone who can keep up. Emotionally, sexually, spirituallyâŠ. like, we light candles and everything.â Yeosang answered without looking up. âY/N.â Wooyoung snapped his fingers. âYes! Y/N. Thatâs her name.â Mingi stared at him, jaw tight. âNo.â Wooyoung blinked. âNo?â Mingi glared now. âNo.â Wooyoung tilted his head, smile curling. âWhy not?â He was antagonizing him now. âBecause,â Mingi said, yanking his shirt on roughly, âsheâs not like that.â
âOhhhâŠâ Wooyoungâs grin spread, slow and sharp. âOhhh.â Yeosang raised a brow, glancing over. âHere we go.â Wooyoung was like a shark and Mingiâs emotions were like blood to him right now. âYou like her,â Wooyoung said, pointing like it was a mic drop. âYou like like her.â Mingi rolled his eyes. âShut the fuck up.â Wooyoung laughed, giggling and clapping his hands together. âThatâs why youâve never invited her here. Thatâs why you donât talk about her. Thatâs why you looked like you were gonna commit a crime when I said she was hot.â Mingi didnât say anything as Wooyoung leaned in, elbows on his knees, smug as hell. âDude. Youâre in love with her.â
âWooyoungâŠ.â
âYou gonna make a move?â
âNo.â
âWhy not?â
Mingiâs jaw flexed. âBecause sheâs my best friend.â Wooyoung made a dramatic face. âThatâs the best kind of person to ruin your life with!â Yeosang snorted as San popped his head in, fully dressed for his set in leather pants and a harness. âDid Wooyoung start the polyamory evangelism again?â It wouldnât be the first time. âHe tried to recruit Y/N,â Yeosang said and San grinned. âOh damn. Sheâs hot.â Mingi threw his towel at the nearest locker with a loud clang and Wooyoung just laughed. âBetter hurry up, lover boy. A girl like that doesnât stay single long.â Mingi didnât answer. Because deep down, he knew Wooyoung was right. And he also knew something Wooyoung didnât. Y/N was the one thing he could never afford to fuck up.
You were adjusting your top when the lights dimmed and a hush rippled through the crowd as Hongjoongâs voice came through the speakers, smooth, sultry, trained like velvet over whiskey. âPut your hands together, ladies and gentlemen⊠for your favorite little devilâŠ. SAN.â The spotlight hit center stage and the room exploded. You nearly spilled your drink as the crowd screamed, shrill and feral, as San sauntered out under the lights. Shirtless, with a harness of course. Leather pants hugging him like they were scared to let go. A black choker glinting under the lights. Smirk full of sin. âOh my God⊠âHeâs reallyâŠâŠâ you whispered. âYep,â Seonghwa replied, sipping his drink without flinching. âHeâs their chaos demon.â On stage, San dropped to one knee and rolled his hips like he was summoning something dark and holy. Women screamed. Someone threw a bra and you couldnât stop staring. Not because of San. But because Mingi was going to walk out there soon. And you had no idea how you were supposed to breathe when he did.
You sat there frozen, drink half forgotten in your hand, as the man youâd only ever seen as Mingiâs ridiculously sweet coworker turned into something else entirely under the lights. San prowled across the stage like he owned it, like heâd built it himself. His leather pants clung to every curve, every flex of his thighs as he stalked toward the front, bathed in red light like sin incarnate. The bass pounded. The fog machine kicked. A woman in the front row stood up in her seat and screamed like she was being exorcised. Seonghwa leaned toward you, voice close to your ear. âYouâre lucky you missed his firefighter set last month. He had a damn hose.â You choked on your drink. Sanâs body was shimmering under the lights, abs flexing with every roll of his hips. And then⊠he jumped down off the stage and stalked through the crowd like a panther, grabbing the arm of a woman in a rhinestone dress and guiding her onto a chaise lounge at the edge of the floor. She looked like she might faint but San didnât give her a second to recover, just climbed up beside her, straddled the seat, and slowly rolled his hips down against hers, one hand braced beside her head, the other dragging up her thigh like he was checking the strength of his own self control.
âHoly shit,â you muttered and Seonghwa just smiled, sipping his drink. âTold you.â San leaned in like he was going to kiss the girl, but stopped just short, lips hovering a breath away. Her hands were everywhere, chest, arms, back, and San let her. Even encouraged it, grinding slow and deep while the crowd screamed and tossed bills. It was chaos. It was art. It was sex with a lighting designer. And you couldnât stop watching as San got off the lounge and winked as he pulled the woman up to her feet, gave her a playful little slap on the ass that made the whole table behind her screech, and guided her back to her seat like a gentleman. Then he walked back to the center of the stage, arms out, chest gleaming, a grin on his face that said I just wrecked your soul and Iâm not even winded and then bowed as the house lights dimmed and the stage went dark. He came strutting offstage, chest gleaming with sweat and bills sticking out of the waistband of his pants. He grabbed a towel off the rack, wiped his face, and tossed it onto the bench like it owed him money.
The dressing room was a blur of movement, Yeosang doing last minute checks in the mirror, Wooyoung adjusting his earrings, Hongjoongâs muffled voice echoing the last of Sanâs name through the speakers. But San? He had tunnel vision right for Mingi who was sitting on the edge of a bench, elbows on knees, fully dressed in his performance gear now, black jeans tighter than sin, a mesh shirt hanging loose over his chest, and his hair styled spiky. He was scrolling through his phone, earbuds in, probably blasting his pre set playlist to ignore Wooyoung. Until San kicked his boot. âYo.â Mingi looked up, pulling out one earbud. âHow was it?â San just grinned. Too wide. Too smug. Like heâd just won a bet no one else knew about. âSet was great,â he said. âCrowdâs wild tonight. I swear someone tried to lick my abs.â Mingi snorted. âNot surprising,â he muttered, standing to stretch. âYouâre a menace.â
âGuilty.â San didnât move. Just stared still grinning which made Mingi raise a brow. âWhat?â San grinned wider. âYouâre not even curious whoâs in the audience tonight?â Mingi grabbed his water bottle. âI donât need to be. Itâs the same as every week. Bachelorettes. Drunk office girls. That one lady with the glitter cane who tips like a goddamn queen.â San licked his lips, still grinning. âYou sure?â Mingi paused, staring at him suspiciously now. âWhat?â San just tilted his head, leaning against the lockers like a man with secrets. âYou really donât know sheâs here?â Mingi frowned. âWho?â San laughed then, shaking his head. âY/N.â Mingi froze as Sanâs grin widened even more. âSeonghwaâs here too, but I wasnât exactly looking at him.â Mingi blinked in denial. âY/Nâs not here.â
âOh, but she is,â San said, stretching his arms up behind his head like he didnât just casually nuke Mingiâs entire night. âSitting in the third booth off center. Black corset top, jeans with studs. Platforms. She looks good. Like someone who absolutely should not be watching you do what youâre about to do.â Mingiâs mouth went dry. âYouâre messing with me.â San smirked. âAm I?â Go look.â Mingi didnât move. Just stood there, every muscle in his body coiled like a wire pulled tight. San patted him on the shoulder as he walked past, towel slung around his neck. âGood luck out there, lover boy.â And then he was gone. Leaving Mingi in a storm of adrenaline, nerves, and something dangerously close to hope.
The lights dropped low again. The bass thudded once, deep and resonant, followed by a rush of fog spilling out across the stage like the start of a storm. Hongjoongâs voice purred over the sound system, dripping with anticipation. âYouâve been waiting for him⊠and heâs ready to ruin you.â The crowd screamed. âGive it up for the man who makes fantasy look easyâŠ. your headliner tonight⊠MINGI.â You couldnât breathe. Not when the spotlight hit the center of the stage and he walked out like he was made for it. Not when the cheers around you turned primal. Not when the bass dropped and the music started. Because there he was. Mingi. But not the one you saw every morning in his hoodie, grumbling about cereal and half asleep on the couch. This version? This version was lethal. Tight black jeans that looked like theyâd been sewn onto his body. A cropped mesh shirt unbuttoned all the way down his chest, the fabric clinging to sweat slick skin and teasing every dip and plane of muscle. Thick silver rings flashed on his fingers. He moved with slow confidence, every step perfectly timed to the thump of the beat. Not rushed. Not overdone. Like he already knew he owned the room. And God, he did.
The screams rose as he reached center stage, his hand sliding down his chest as the first switch in the music hit, a slick remix of something dark and sexy, all bass and breathy vocals. You couldnât move or look away. And Mingi? Mingi was trying so hard not to look for you. Heâd known the moment the curtain parted. He felt it like gravity. The shift in his breath. The hum in his chest. The way his heart slammed once, hard, like it recognized you before his eyes even did. But he didnât turn his head. Not yet. He started slow, hips rolling in time with the music, hands skimming down his own body like he wasnât teasing the entire room. His movements were smooth but controlled, like he could go harder but was choosing to drive everyone mad instead. And it was working. Women screamed. Money flew. A few already stood at the edge of the stage, reaching as Mingi dropped low into a crouch, legs spread wide, one hand dragging up his thigh to his chest. His lip curled into a smirk as he popped his hips once sharp. Then again slower. But still⊠he didnât look.
Your hands were clenched in your lap, knuckles white. Your drink sat untouched. Your pulse? Absolutely fucked. Seonghwa leaned closer, whispering into your ear with a grin, âYou breathing?â You didnât answer. Because just then Mingi stood and turned, his eyes sweeping the crowd. Searching. Trying to pretend he wasnât. Trying to stay smooth. Sexy. In control. But the moment his gaze landed on you? He stopped. Only for a second. But it was enough. Enough for you to know he saw you. Enough for him to forget the choreography for a half beat before snapping back in with a grin that didnât reach his eyes. You felt it. That flicker, real Mingi, underneath the performer. And in that moment, the game changed. Because now he wasnât dancing for the room. He was dancing for you.
Heâd always been good on stage. Controlled. Smooth. A slow burn with a fuse he could light and kill at will. He could flirt without touching, seduce without a word, tease until the whole room was ready to explode and then walk off like it was nothing. But tonight? Tonight was not a normal night. He wasnât sure what came over him. Maybe it was the way you looked, corset laced tight, sitting back like you were trying to disappear, but your eyes were locked on him like they were chained. Maybe it was the memory of all the nights heâd come home from this stage and found you asleep on the couch, unaware of what he became after dark. Or maybe it was just that heâd waited too long to know what it would feel like to really perform for you. So he stopped holding back. He turned away from the crowd, letting the music climb into a filthy, distorted drop, shoulders rolling once, twice, before he grabbed the hem of his mesh shirt and yanked it off in one smooth pull and the screams that followed shook the walls as he tossed the shirt offstage and ran a hand down his chest, slow, like he was savoring it before he turned back around and met the crowd head on. And you.
There was no mistaking it now. He was performing for you. No more playing it safe as Mingi strutted forward, bare chest gleaming and dropped into a low squat near the front of the stage, spread his knees wide, and rolled his hips up, a deep, obscene grind that had a woman near the edge drop her drink and scream and he smiled. Then came the pants. He didnât rush it. Oh no. He turned, showing off his back, hands sliding low over his waistband. ThenâŠ. pop, the button came undone and he dragged the zipper down slowly before he bent forward and rolled his hips. And then stood again in nothing but black briefs stretched dangerously across his thighs, low enough on his hips to make your throat go dry and the room lost its mind. Bills rained down like confetti. Sanâs name had gotten cheers. Mingiâs got worship. The lights followed him as he walked back down the runway, body pure heat and precision, muscles shifting under skin like he was carved to be stared at. He grabbed one of the poles, spun once, and dropped into the floor with his knees spread and thighs flexed so tight you thought you might pass out. Your nails dug into your thigh as he looked right at you as he did it and held your gaze as he popped his hips again. And again. And again.
You could feel your breath catching in your throat, your body burning under his stare. You didnât even realize you were leaning forward slightly until Seonghwa whispered beside you, âHeâs gonna destroy you.â You didnât answer. Because right then, Mingi climbed back to his feet, chest rising and falling like a man on fire and he smiled. Smug. Sinful. Targeted. Like he knew exactly what he was doing to you. Like he didnât care if you were ready. Because you were already his.
You werenât sure how much time had passed since Mingi left the stage. Minutes? Hours? Your concept of time had evaporated somewhere around the third hip thrust. And Seonghwa had been absolutely insufferable since. âDrink some water before you pass out,â he said casually, pushing a glass toward you while lounging in the booth like he hadnât just watched your entire soul leave your body. âIâm fine,â you muttered, eyes still half glazed. âOh yeah? You havenât blinked since he took off his shirt. Do I need to check your vitals, Nurse Y/N?â You took the water purely so you wouldnât dump your drink on him. Wooyoung had performed next, of course, and it was exactly the chaotic firestorm you expected, leather pants, fire visuals, and a lot of tongue. Yeosang followed, graceful and untouchable, a sharp contrast that left the crowd breathless. But you? You barely saw them.
Your mind was still spinning from Mingi. From the way he looked straight at you. The way he moved like he knew what he was doing to you. And worst of allâŠ. the way he smiled right before the lights went out. Smug bastard. And now the Hongjoongâs voice came booming back through the speakers, and the lights shifted, soft pinks, warm reds, the kind of glow that signaled one thing and one thing only. Audience participation. âAlright, alright, alright,â he purred, grinning as he walked across the stage. âYouâve seen them solo, but what if I told you thereâs more?â The crowd screamed. âOh, I know weâve got some special people in the house tonight⊠whereâs our bride to be?â More screaming as a spotlight snapped toward the left, landing on a girl in white with a tiara and glitter down her arms. She was losing her mind as Hongjoong grinned. âI think she deserves one last sin before the ring, donât you?â Another round of unhinged cheering. âLadies and gentlemen, for our bachelorette tonight⊠the Velvet Inferno All Stars!â
The lights dropped. The bass hit. And the entire team came out. San, Wooyoung, Yeosang, and, of course, Mingi, now in a sleeveless black tank and ripped jeans, hair still wild from earlier. He wasnât even trying to perform yet. Just walking. And somehow still ruining your life. The crowd was feral as the guys spread out across the stage, moving in sync, just a taste of choreography, enough to tease, before they surrounded the bacheloretteâs chair like lions circling a meal. âNow,â Hongjoong grinned, âyou get to pick who gives you the lap dance of your dreams.â The bachelorette looked like she was about to ascend as San leaned forward and whispered something in her ear. Then Wooyoung dropped to his knees in front of her with a wink. Yeosang stood back, arms crossed, smug and untouched. And Mingi didnât even approach her. Not at first. Because he was scanning the crowd again. Looking for you. And when he found you? He smirked. That same dangerous smirk heâd worn earlier. But this time? He winked and your stomach dropped.
Seonghwa leaned in. âYouâre not getting out of here without at least five more people knowing youâre in love with your best friend.â You didnât answer. Because on stage, the bachelorette finally picked her dancer. But Mingiâs eyes never left yours as the crowd erupted. San let out a dramatic, fake gasp. Wooyoung fell to the floor clutching his chest like heâd been robbed. Yeosang clapped, deadpan as Mingi just grinned. Slow. Sharp. Like heâd been expecting it. He strolled forward with that lazy, lethal confidence, towering over her like a fantasy made of smoke and basslines. The bride squealed, half standing before Hongjoong gently pushed her back down into the chair at center stage. âStay seated, sweetheart,â he smirked. âHeâll do all the work.â Seonghwa sipped his drink beside you, not even pretending to hide his smile. âOh, this is gonna be fun.â Your soul left your body again as the music kicked in, something filthy, heavy and slow. It wasnât choreographed like the main sets. This was freestyle. Improvised. Raw. The dancers were encouraged to push the envelope. To read the room. Or in this caseâŠ. read you.
Mingi circled the chair once, eyes never leaving the bride. But you could feel it. His awareness of you as he straddled one leg of the chair and bent low, arms braced on either side of her shoulders, mouth brushing her ear as he whispered something that made her slap a hand to her mouth and giggle like a teenager at a sleepover. Then he dropped to his knees and placed his hands on her thighs, spreading them slowly, obscenely, before dragging them back up to her waist. She was losing her mind. Laughing. Squealing. Gripping the sides of the chair like her life depended on it. And then he climbed into her lap and you almost stood up. Instinct. Jealousy. Something primal and embarrassing that you tried to crush before it showed on your face. But of course Seonghwa noticed. âOhhh no,â he whispered, clearly delighted. âYouâre suffering.â
You ignored him as Mingi started grinding down into the brideâs lap, rolling his hips in slow, punishing waves that had women throwing money onstage like it was a religious offering. He leaned back, arms behind his head, chest on full display, eyes closed for a beatâŠ. then he cracked one eye open and looked right at you. Still moving. Still in her lap. But his gaze? Locked. He didnât smirk. He didnât wink. He just stared, slow and steady, while he kept rolling his hips. You couldnât breathe as the bride squealed again when he leaned forward and brushed his mouth along her jaw, not quite kissing, just enough to make her sob laugh and fan herself as the other dancers hyped the crowd. He stood a moment later, still grinning, and backed away as the MC brought down the lights and pulled the bride up for a round of applause. You barely clapped as Seonghwa leaned in close, eyes glittering. âHeâs going to be insufferable after this.â You didnât even wait for the lights to come back up. The second Mingi stepped offstage, you turned to Seonghwa with wide eyes and a tight jaw. âI need a drink.â
Seonghwa didnât argue. He just grabbed his jacket and his phone, tossed a few bills on the table, and followed you without a word as you slipped past the last wave of screaming fans and out into the thick Florida night air. The sidewalk was quieter out here, but your head was still full of him. Of the way his hips moved. The smug weight of his gaze. The grind in that girlâs lap and how you could still feel it on your skin even though he never touched you. You needed something cold. Strong. Preferably on fire. âThereâs a place down the block,â Seonghwa said as he fell into step beside you, not even out of breath. âDivey but not gross. Some of the guys go there after shows.â You didnât care, you just nodded. âPerfect.â Two blocks later and you were both stepping inside a bar that was comfortably dim, the kind of place that didnât demand conversation. The music was low, the hum of quiet voices around you almost soothing. Your drink was half empty. Your walls? A little more than that. Seonghwa didnât push. He never did. He just sat across from you, nursing his whiskey, eyes steady as you stared at the table for a long time before you said it. âHeâs my best friend.â
It came out small. Honest. Like you needed to remind yourself. Seonghwa looked at you, but didnât speak. âI mean⊠he wasnât dancing for me. Not really.â You swirled the ice in your glass with a fingertip, watching it spin. âIf anything, he was messing with me. Teasing. He knows Iâve never seen him perform. He probably just wanted to make me squirm a little. Mission accomplished.â Seonghwa raised an eyebrow. âYou donât actually believe that.â You kept going like you didnât hear him. âI meanâŠâ you laughed, short and hollow. âDonât you think if he actually saw me like thatâŠ. saw me the way he sees those girls in the crowd, or the ones he brings home sometimes⊠he wouldâve made a move a long time ago?â Seonghwaâs glass clinked softly as he set it down but you didnât look at him. You couldnât. Your throat was too tight. âIâve been living with him for five years,â you said quietly. âI walk around in his shirts. I do his laundry half the time. I know what cereal he likes and what side he sleeps on and that he cries during sad movies when he thinks Iâm not looking. And nothingâs ever happened. Not once.â You looked up finally, forcing a smile that didnât quite reach. âThat means something, right?â
Seonghwa didnât speak right away. He just watched you before finally, softly, saying, âYeah. It means heâs an idiot. Heâs also your best friend,â Seonghwa added, tone even. âWhich means he probably thinks you donât see him like that. And knowing Mingi? Heâd rather suffer in silence than risk losing what you already have.â You didnât respond. You couldnât. Because a small, stupid part of you wanted to believe he was right. But the louder part? The part that watched Mingi grind into a stranger like she was the only woman in the world? That part couldnât help but thinkâŠ. if he wanted me⊠wouldnât he have said something by nowâŠ.. the bell over the bar door chimed. You barely registered it at first, still caught in the haze of what youâd just said. Still chewing on the weight of your own words, feeling them echo in your chest like youâd carved them into your ribs.
But then Seonghwaâs eyes flicked up and something about the way his posture shifted made your stomach twist. You turned and there he was. Mingi. Laughing. Loud. Glowing. Still flushed from the stage. Black jeans. Flannel shirt that clung to his chest in all the worst ways. Silver chains catching the low bar lights. His hair a mess, like he hadnât even stopped to cool down. Right behind him, San and Wooyoung pushed through the doorway like they owned the building, talking with their hands, both laughing about something Wooyoung said way too loudly as Yeosang trailed after, calm and unreadable as always, already scanning the room. They were a unit. A storm. A problem. And they saw you immediately. Wooyoung spotted Seonghwa first, and his grin bloomed like trouble. âOhhh shit, look who finally came out to play!â San followed his gaze and his eyebrows lifted when he saw you. Mingi was still scanning the bar casually, mid laugh, until his eyes landed on your booth and stuck. His smile didnât drop. Not quite. But it changed. Like a curtain had lifted and he was aware now. That you were still here. That you hadnât run far enough.
Seonghwa exhaled, drained his drink, and muttered under his breath, âBrace yourself.â Too late. The guys were already heading straight for you. Wooyoung got there first, sliding into the booth beside Seonghwa without asking. âDidnât know this was a post show party. You guys shouldâve told us you were coming here.â Seonghwa rolled his eyes as Yeosang stood at the end of the booth, nodding to you with that unreadable expression. San pulled up a spare chair, flipping it around and straddling it with ease. And Mingi hovered for a second before dropping into the seat right beside you. Close enough that his knee brushed yours. Close enough to smell his cologne. His sweat. The faintest trace of whatever body oil was still on his skin from earlier. âDidnât expect to see you again tonight. Figured Iâd get home and youâd be passed out.â he said, voice low and a little rough. You turned to him, blinking slowly. âWe just wanted a drink.â His gaze dipped to your lips. âYeah?â You nodded, trying to stay calm. âThatâs all.â
He hummed. âDid you enjoy the show?â You opened your mouth then closed it. Because how the hell were you supposed to answer that? You looked away as Mingi leaned back in his seat, grin pulling at the corner of his mouth as he turned to Wooyoung like he hadnât just gutted you in one line. But you could feel it. His knee still brushing yours. His fingers resting just close enough to yours on the table to make your skin buzzâŠâŠ Wooyoung slammed his hand on the table. âTequila shots. Extra lime. Weâre celebrating.â Seonghwa opened his mouth to object, but the server was already nodding and disappearing as San leaned over the back of your chair, draping his chin on your shoulder with all the innocence of a man who had just dry humped on stage thirty minutes ago. âYou stayed for all of us, huh?â You gave him a tight smile. âRegretting it.â He grinned âYou loved it.â He backed off just as the server returned with a tray of shots and a grave warning about their strength. No one listened as Wooyoung handed them out like a bartender on his last shift, one for each of you, no hesitation. Then he turned to you, raised his glass, and said with zero warning, âYou know, Y/N⊠I asked Mingi if San and I could get you to be our third and he looked like he wanted to murder me.â
You choked on air. âWhat?â you asked, eyes going wide as Mingi tensed beside you and San coughed into his hand, failing to hide a grin. Wooyoung? Absolutely shameless. âOur third,â he repeated with a smirk. âLike⊠in bed. Between us. On top of us. Around us. You get the vibe.â Your mouth opened. Closed. Opened again. âIâŠ. what the hell, Wooyoung?!â Seonghwa was straight up wheezing across the booth. Even Yeosang finally cracked a smile behind his glass as San lifted his shot like it was a toast. âFor the record, I supported the idea.â You looked back and forth between him and Wooyoung. âYou two are feral,â you snapped, flushing hot. âAnd yet,â Wooyoung sang, tilting his head at Mingi, âhe said no. Real fast. Like he was ready to throw me through a wall.â You turned to Mingi who was staring into his shot like it had betrayed him personally. âMingi,â you said slowly. âDid you actually threaten Wooyoung?â He didnât look up. âNot explicitly.â
âHe snarled,â Wooyoung added helpfully.
âI did not snarl.â
âHe made a noise. It was primal. Hot, if I wasnât scared for my life.â
You just sat there, blinking. Because what the fuck. What did that even mean? Why would he care? And why did that tiny part of you, the one curled up deep inside, drunk on heat and nerves and years of tension, feel something dangerously close to hope? Wooyoung, never one to let go of chaos, spun his empty shot glass between his fingers with a devilâs grin. âIâm just saying, Mingi told me you werenât into that kind of thing.â You froze as more shots arrived. Seonghwa snorted under his breath. San went suddenly quiet, eyes flicking from Mingi to you with a little too much interest. Yeosang leaned back, his face unreadable, but you swore his brows ticked up a fraction as your gaze snapped back to Mingi. He wasnât looking at anyone. Still just sitting there, jaw tight, shoulders hunched, gaze fixed hard on the table now like he could physically will this conversation into the void. And something in you cracked.
You reached out, grabbed your shot glass, clear tequila sloshing near the rim, and turned your stare back to Wooyoung. âHe has no idea what Iâm into.â The whole table went still. Like someone had yanked the volume knob on reality. Wooyoungâs mouth opened into a perfect O. San actually whistled. Seonghwa pressed his lips together to stop a smile. And Yeosang murmured, just once, âOof.â But Mingi? He finally looked up. Slowly. Eyes sharp, wide, locked on you like heâd just seen you for the first time. There was something in his expression you couldnât place. Like your words had knocked the air out of him and he wasnât sure whether to get angry, get flustered, or get closer. You didnât break the stare. You just tipped your shot back and slammed the glass down like punctuation. âCheers,â you said and San immediately grabbed his own, grinning like this was the best night of his life. âTo wild revelations and poor self control,â he toasted. You didnât look at Mingi again. But you could feel him. Watching. Burning. And you knew, without a doubt, that something had shifted for real this time.
The rounds of shots had cracked something open at the table, walls lowered, filters slipping, everything a little too loud, a little too easy. Even Yeosang was smiling now, and that almost never happened without money involved. Everyone had another drink in hand, courtesy of Wooyoung, and the conversation had swerved somewhere between sex, injuries, and unhinged post show stories. Naturally, it was only a matter of time before the chaos god himself struck again. Wooyoung turned to you and Seonghwa, chin in his hand, eyes gleaming. âSo⊠be honest. You two ever get hit on at work? Like, emergency room drama plus sexual tension? Feels like it happens.â You rolled your eyes with a laugh. âYou have no idea. Hwa once got hit on while treating a girlâs dislocated shoulder.â
âShe asked for my number while crying,â Seonghwa added proudly as he raised his glass. âOkay, but nothing beats the screwdriver guy.â You blinked. âSeonghwa.â San perked up. âWaitâŠ. screwdriver guy?â Mingi tilted his head, brow twitching. âYeah, what screwdriver guy?â You were gonna kill Seonghwa. âOhhh yeah,â Seonghwa said, glancing at you with a wicked grin. âThis guy walks into the ER with a screwdriver literally embedded in his skull. Just sticking out like a goddamn cartoon. And he still had the audacity to flirt with her.â Wooyoung gasped. âDid you say yes?â You wished the floor would swallow you whole because you could feel Mingi staring at you. âShe didnât say anything,â Seonghwa replied. âBut get thisâŠ. he comes back a month later for follow up scans, totally healed, and smooth as hell. And sheâŠâ He leaned back smugly. âEnds up hooking up with him in the on call room.â
The table exploded. âNo fucking way,â San cackled. âI love that for you,â Wooyoung declared, reaching across the table to cheers your glass as Yeosang blinked. âWas this pre or post screwdriver?â You groaned. âPost,â Seonghwa answered for you, already laughing as you hid your face in your hands, groaning. âYou were supposed to take that to your grave.â Seonghwa shrugged, grinning. âToo good not to share.â You peeked through your fingers only to lock eyes with Mingi. And he looked⊠not okay. Not angry. Not sulking. But something had definitely shifted. His jaw was tight. One of his hands flexed slightly against his thigh. And his eyes? Still on you, but narrowed now, more focused. Like he was trying to solve a puzzle that had just gotten a new piece he didnât like. It was a casual story. But it hit him like a loaded gun. You sat back slowly, pulse picking up as Mingi looked away.
The front door creaked open, the hinges protesting like they knew what kind of night it had been. Mingi half carried, half guided you inside, one arm wrapped around your waist, the other catching your wrist as you stumbled slightly over the threshold. âOkay, okay, I got you,â he muttered, voice low and warm as he toed the door shut behind him. You giggled into his shoulder, completely drunk and unapologetically soft, letting yourself be steered down the hall like gravity had taken the night off. Your heels were dangling from your other hand, fingers limp around the straps. Your hair was a mess. Your corset had shifted slightly, and your voice had that dreamy slur you only got when you were too far gone to care about appearances. And Mingi was suffering. He had one hand splayed against your bare waist where your corset had ridden up. The heat of your skin against his palm was killing him slowly. You werenât heavy, but every sway of your hips against his side, every little laugh into his neck, it was all too much. âDid I thank you for not letting me fall in the street?â you mumbled as he helped you into the apartment.
âTwice.â
âYouâre strong.â
âYouâre wasted.â
âI mean it,â you said, looking up at him with those half lidded, glassy eyes. âYou could probably carry me with one arm.â Mingi swallowed hard. âMaybe,â he muttered. âDonât test me.â You stopped walking suddenly making him turn, confused, until he realizedâŠ. you were just staring at him, head tilted, eyes soft. Curious. Honest in the way only drunk people and small children ever were. âMingi,â you said quietly. âYou didnât like that story.â His breath caught as your fingers brushed his wrist. âYou got weird after it. The screwdriver guy thing.â He tried to play it off, forcing a small laugh. âWasnât that deep.â But you shook your head. âNo. It was.â You reached up, hand clumsy but gentle, fingers brushing the chain at his neck. âHe was just some guy,â you whispered. âIt didnât mean anything.â Mingiâs jaw clenched. âI donât care,â he said quickly. Too quickly. And you blinked at him, swaying slightly. âLiar.â Mingi exhaled through his nose, chest tight. âYouâre drunk, Y/N.â
âNot that drunk.â He looked at you then, really looked at you. Your flushed cheeks. Your parted lips. The strap of your top sliding off your shoulder. The way your body leaned into him without even realizing it. And still, he didnât move. Didnât touch you. Didnât say the thing sitting right there on his tongue. Because he didnât know if youâd remember in the morning. And if you didnât? It might break him. So instead, he whispered, âCome on. Letâs get you to bed.â
One week later, you were one minor inconvenience away from snapping. The ER was chaos. Of course it was. Flu season had hit like a freight train, two interns were arguing about IV placement, someone spilled coffee on the med cart, and the vending machine ate your last dollar without giving you your fucking chips. But none of that was the real problem. No, the real problem was lower. Cramping. Aching. Heat blooming in your gut in waves that had nothing to do with illness. You were on your period, bloated and irritable and craving every carb known to man. And horny. Not like regular horny. Dangerously horny. The kind of hormonal spiral that made you want to climb someone like a tree, and unfortunately, that someone was currently folded into your brain like a goddamn highlight reel.
Mingi. Mingi on stage. Mingi shirtless. Mingi grinding in slow motion with his tongue poking out slightly and sweat dripping down his chest. You growled quietly and slammed a clipboard down on the counter. âEverything alright?â Seonghwa asked, suddenly appearing beside you with a chart and a little too much amusement. âNo,â you snapped. âEverything is not alright.â He blinked, then gave you one long, knowing look. âCramping or craving?â
âBoth.â
He nodded solemnly. âMingi again?â You said nothing. But your face said everything. You hadnât stopped thinking about him. Not since the bar. Not since the lap dance. Not since he half carried you home and stared at you like he was dying to say something and didnât. He hadnât brought it up since and neither had you. And that? That was driving you insane. You were stuck in limbo. Frustrated. Sensitive. Needy in ways you couldnât even explain. And every time your mind drifted, it went right back to him. The way his hands looked on someone elseâs thighs. The way his jeans sat on his hips. The way he smelled when he was that close, cologne and sweat and something you swore was designed to break you. You clenched your thighs and Seonghwa noticed. âY/N.â
âDonât.â
âYouâre literally sweating.â
âI said donât.â He raised both hands in surrender, but he was laughing now. âJust sayingâŠ. maybe you need to⊠handle it.â
âI canât.â
âWhy?â
You glanced at the clock, hating everything. âBecause I have rounds in ten minutes, and also this is a hospital.â He gave you a slow smirk. âSo no on call room hookup today?â You turned to him, eyes dead. âYou are not funny.â But you were already thinking about it. Already thinking about him. And wondering how much longer you could go before you snapped completely.
The second you opened the front door to the apartment, the scent hit you firstâŠ. your favorite candles. Not one of his woodsy ones. Not one of the weird incense sticks he picked up from that crystal shop San dragged him to once. Yours. The vanilla and lavender one you only lit when cramps were killing you and you wanted to feel human again. Your throat tightened as your bag slipped from your shoulder with a dull thud against the hardwood as you stepped further in. The living room was dimmed, lamps only, no overhead lights, and the coffee table had a neatly arranged setup of your favorite snacks. A giant bottle of water. Chocolate covered pretzels you didnât even realize he remembered you liked. A heating pad, already plugged in. And your favorite fuzzy blanket, folded on the couch with Greyâs Anatomy already queued up on Netflix.
You stood there frozen. Like an emotional bomb had gone off and you were the only one left standing. âMingi!â you called out, voice cracking slightly. He emerged from the hallway. Hoodie. Sweatpants. Hair damp from a shower. He looked freshly scrubbed and so soft it made something behind your ribs ache. âHey,â he said, voice gentle, like he already knew. âRough day?â You nodded, not trusting your voice and he smiled coming over. âI set it all up. You just missed the rain too, it started like five minutes ago, perfect sad girl weather.â And thatâs when you almost lost it. Your eyes burned. Your nose stung. Not because of the cramps. Not because of work. But because how could he care about you like this and not feel it too?
You dropped your eyes to the heating pad, to the snacks, to the blanket youâd once told him was your favorite two years ago, and whispered, âYou didnât have to do all thisâŠâ He shrugged, scratching the back of his neck. âI wanted to.â And that was it. The thread snapped. You sat on the couch too quickly, trying to hide your face in the blanket, but your voice cracked again when you said, âYouâre gonna make me cry, and itâs so stupid.â Mingi blinked, concerned now, crouching beside you. âWhat? Hey. No, itâs not stupid.â You shook your head, biting the inside of your cheek. âIâm just hormonal and tired andâŠ.â And in love with you. He touched your knee gently. âY/N.â You looked at him, trying to hold it together as he smiled, quiet and soft. âYou donât have to say anything. Just let me take care of you tonight.â
Two hours later and the soft hum of Greyâs Anatomy played through the apartment, but you werenât really watching. It was Friday night. Which meant Mingi was working. Which meant somewhere, right now, this very minute, he was onstage. Shirtless. Smirking. Running his hands over someone else. Letting them run theirs over him. Laughing into someoneâs ear. Grinding into some strangerâs lap like it didnât mean anything. Because to him, it probably didnât. But to you? It felt like a slow stab to the chest. You sat curled on the couch, fuzzy blanket pulled around you like armor, a half eaten bag of chips crumpled beside you and your phone screen lit up every so often from some irrelevant notification. Your heating pad had long gone warm instead of hot. But your thoughts? They were scorching. You hated how vivid your imagination was. How easily your brain conjured it. The way his thighs looked when he moved. The roll of his hips. The way his fingers looked tangled in someoneâs hair the night of the bachelorette set. The way he looked at you while grinding on someone else like he wanted you to feel it. And God, did you feel it.
Even now, alone in your apartment, the jealousy crawled up your spine like a fever. You didnât want to care. You really didnât. Heâd been dancing long before you ever stepped foot in Velvet Inferno. Youâd known what he did. Hell, you supported it. Encouraged it. But seeing it? Feeling it? Knowing he was out there right now with hands on him that werenât yours? It made your chest ache. Made your throat tight. Made your eyes sting. And worst of all, you couldnât do anything about it. You werenât his girlfriend. You werenât his anything. Just his roommate. His best friend. The one he made soup for when you were sick. The one he knew better than anyone. The one he carried home drunk and tucked into bed like she was something precious. But still⊠Not the one he touched like that. Your jaw clenched as your hands curled in the blanket. You tried to focus on the TV, but the tears were already pressing against your lashes.
And suddenlyâŠ. you just missed him. Even though heâd only been gone a few hours. Even though heâd come home eventually. Even though he wasnât really yours to miss in the first place.
The music was finally dying down. Velvet Inferno had started to clear out, lingering bachelorette groups giggling out the doors, dollar bills scattered like confetti across the stage, the haze of sweat and body spray still thick in the air. Staff moved in practiced rhythm, cleaning, counting, cashing out. Mingi sat backstage in his usual spot, toweling off the last of the sweat from his neck, his black tank clinging to his chest. The adrenaline had faded, but he was still wired. Not from the show. From thoughts of you. He hadnât been able to shake you all night. The way you looked curled on the couch before he left. That soft, tired smile. The heat pack in your lap. The blanket around your shoulders. Youâd barely said anything when he left, just mumbled âhave a good nightâ without looking up from the TV. But heâd felt the shift. The distance. And now? Now he just wanted to get home.
He was sliding on his jacket when he heard a voice behind him. âHeading out already?â Mingi turned and looked at her. Daphne. Same long legs. Same red lipstick. Same skin tight dress she always wore on Friday nights when she came to watch him work. The same girl who used to be a routine. Who never asked for anything more than what he gave, and who gave exactly what he used to want. Used to. âYeah,â he said casually, zipping up his jacket. âItâs late.â She smiled, slow and familiar. âWanna come back to your place?â He blinked. âWhat?â She smirked at him. âYou said you were heading home. I figuredâŠâ She stepped closer, resting a hand lightly on his chest. âItâs been a while.â Mingi gently removed her hand. âNah,â he said, voice quiet. âCanât tonight.â She tilted her head, a flicker of irritation passing behind her eyes. âWhy not?â
âY/Nâs home,â he said simply, not even thinking about it and Daphneâs brows lifted. âYour roommate?â Mingi nodded. âYeah.â And my best friend. The woman I love. Daphne laughed. âSo? Youâve had girls over when sheâs home before.â He flinched slightly but didnât answer. Didnât explain that he didnât do that anymore. Daphne took a half step closer. âOkay, fine. Come back to my place then.â He hesitated. Just for a second. But it was enough for her to see it. âMingi,â she said, a little sharper now, âyou and I both know this doesnât have to mean anything.â Now his patience was growing thin. âI know,â he said quietly. âThatâs the problem.â Candace blinked, thrown as Mingi adjusted his bag and nodded toward the exit. âIâll see you around.â And then he was gone.
Outside, the night air hit him hard. But it wasnât the cold that made him shiver. It was the image of you, curled on the couch, waiting for him. And the ache in his chest that told him the only place he wanted to be was home with you.
Two weeks later and the ER was slow that day, the hum of fluorescent lights overhead and Seonghwaâs relentless nagging being the only consistent sounds in the small break room. You were sipping on lukewarm coffee, flipping through a clipboard when Seonghwa burst in with all the dramatics of a Broadway curtain call. âPlease, please, please come tonight,â he begged, leaning on the desk like the fate of the world depended on your attendance. âItâs my birthday. Iâm literally performing to Pony just for you. And I got you on the guest list. VIP. No excuses.â You rolled your eyes, lips twitching. âYouâre trying to bribe me with Ginuwine?â He gasped. âHow dare you disrespect a classic.â You laughed, trying not to cave too fast, but truth was, part of you wanted to go. Even if it meant risking seeing Mingi onstage again. Especially after that first time when the sight of him dancing for someone else nearly cracked you in half. But it was Seonghwaâs birthday⊠and damn it, you did miss that energy. âFine,â you groaned, âbut only because itâs your birthday.â Seonghwa grinned like heâd won the lottery. âYou wonât regret it.â
When you got home, your bare feet padded across the wood floor as you dug through your closet like a woman possessed. You werenât even sure what you were looking for until your fingers brushed the silky fabric, pulling out that black dress. The one with the daring cutouts, gold clips, and the power to make any man forget how to spell his own name. You hadnât worn it in ages. You barely remembered buying it. But something in your chest tightened as you held it up to your body in the mirror. Let him look, you thought. Mingi was in the shower, steam rolling under the bathroom door as you shimmied into the dress, adjusting the straps and making sure the clips were perfectly in place. The door creaked open behind you and you didnât have to look to know it was him. You heard his steps pause. âWhere are you going?â came Mingiâs voice, low and casual but with that distinct edge only someone who just walked past your door in a towel and saw you in that dress could have.
You turned slowly, watching him lean on the doorframe, towel slung low on his hips. You met his eyes, cool and effortless. âItâs Seonghwaâs birthday. He begged me to come to the club again. Said heâs dancing tonight.â Mingi blinked once. Then again as you turned back to the mirror like it was nothing. Like your heart wasnât suddenly doing backflips. âYouâre wearing that dress?â His voice was low, unreadable and you shrugged. âYes.â Mingi didnât respond. He just kept looking at you like you werenât real. Like the air had gotten punched out of him. You tilted your head, a little amused. âWhy?â His tongue pressed into the inside of his cheek and you saw it hit him. The memory. You saw it in the way his throat bobbed. The way he blinked like he was trying to snap himself out of something. Because you had worn that dress once before, two years ago, at his birthday party. The rooftop one with the string lights and the terrible punch. Youâd shown up late and heâd been halfway through a drink when he saw you across the crowd in that exact dress. He hadnât lasted ten minutes. Heâd walked straight out. Claimed he had to take a call and never came back.
His fingers twitched at his sides and his gaze dropped again, slower this time, heavier as you shrugged, smoothing the fabric again as you turned slightly in the mirror, checking the back. âHwa said dress slutty.â Mingi huffed out a laugh but it wasnât amused. It was breathless. Frustrated. His hand dragged through his still damp hair, and he muttered something under his breath in a tone you couldnât quite catch. âSomething you wanna say?â you teased lightly, not looking at him. He stepped back, eyes still locked on you like you might disappear if he blinked. âNah,â he said eventually. âJust⊠I remember that dress.â You finally met his eyes through the mirror. âSo do I.â For a moment, neither of you said a word as the air between you thickened, warm and electric and dangerously unspoken. Then he cleared his throat, eyes darting away. âIâll, uh⊠Iâll see you there.â And just like before, Mingi turned and walked away. Except this time, you heard his breath catch the second he rounded the corner.
The club was already packed by the time you got there. Friday nights were always heavier, more tourists, more regulars, more people celebrating birthdays theyâd never remember by tomorrow morning. The line outside wrapped around the block, but you didnât wait in it. You knew better. You slipped through the side entrance like youâd been there a thousand times before, heels clicking against the hallway tile as the muffled bass grew louder with every step. And then you stepped out into the main room and every set of eyes in the place might as well have turned your way. Especially the women. It was subtle at first, side glances, a few narrowed eyes, a whisper behind a manicured hand. But the closer you got to the front, the more obvious it became. Your dress wasnât designed for subtlety. Black. Clinging. Cut in ways that defied logic and modesty.
You sank into the velvet chair, legs crossed, ignoring the judgmental looks from the women at the bar. Let them look. Let them whisper. Let them wonder why, for the first time ever, Mingi wasnât behind the curtain doing shots or smoking a blunt or hyping himself up for his number. Because Mingi wasnât hyped. Mingi was pacing. Mingi was sweating. Mingi was seconds from walking onstage because he knew you were already here. In that dress. The lights dimmed just as you settled deeper into your seat, the chatter fading into a hush as a smooth, bass heavy track spilled from the speakers and a spotlight flared to life, and there he was. Yeosang. Golden skin, dark eyes, lean muscle dressed in all black and leather. His entrance was smooth and practiced, dripping with that quiet confidence only he had. The crowd responded immediately, cheers, catcalls, a few high pitched moans from the row behind you but you just smiled and sipped your drink as you watched him move with surgical precision, hips rolling, fingers dragging down his chest as he danced for the women at the edge of the stage, grinning when one of them tried to reach for his belt but Yeosang winked and stepped back just out of reach. Your gaze moved to the door behind him, the one leading backstage.âŠ.
Mingi was sitting on the edge of the couch backstage, bouncing his knee like it owed him money. Shirtless, sweat already misting his collarbones as he glared at the floor like it had personally offended him. That fucking dress. He couldnât get it out of his head. Not the current version of you in it, though that was bad enough. No, what was really wrecking him was the memory of it. You, two years ago, walking into his birthday party without a clue what you were doing to him. Hair loose, smile innocent, body hugged tight in that goddamn black fabric. He remembered the exact second he saw you, how the world tilted, how the air left his lungs, how he had to walk out because if he didnât, he was going to do something that wouldâve ruined everything. And now? Now you were wearing it again.
âBro, if you bounce your knee any harder, the floorâs gonna crack.â Mingi looked up to find Seonghwa zipping up his pants in the dressing mirror, shaking his head with a smirk. âShe wore that fucking dress,â Mingi muttered. Seonghwa paused. âWhat dress?â
âThe one ruining my existence.â
Seonghwa let out a low whistle and turned back to the mirror. âWell. Guess Iâm not the only one getting a present tonight.â Mingi groaned and ran a hand through his hair. âIâm gonna combust.â
âDonât. I need you alive. Youâre after me.â Across the room, San was pressed against the wall with Wooyoung in his lap, both of them shamelessly making out like they didnât care it was a shared dressing room. Which, to be fair, they didnât. Wooyoungâs hands were already halfway up Sanâs shirt, and neither of them looked like they had plans to stop. âDo they have to do this right now?â Mingi grumbled. âHave you met them?â Seonghwa said without turning around as Hongjoong pushed through the door, headset in place, clipboard in hand, his expression all business until he saw Seonghwa. âAlright, birthday boy. Youâre up next, and your setâs been extended. Two full songs instead of one. You good?â Seonghwa blinked. âWaitâŠ.. what?â Hongjoong grinned. âItâs your birthday. Consider it a gift. Work the stage, soak it in. And wear the silver chains tonight, make the old women in the back row faint.â He turned and disappeared before Seonghwa could protest, leaving him staring at the mirror in disbelief. âWell,â Seonghwa said, glancing at Mingi. âGuess Iâve got more time to keep her warm for you.â Mingi rolled his eyes, but his stomach twisted.
The lights changed again, darker now, drenched in purple and silver, bassline deep and sultry as the Hongjoong announced the next set. âLadies and gentlemen⊠for the birthday boy himselfâŠâ You leaned back with a smile, just as the music kicked in, slow, smooth, something with a wicked little rhythm. And then Seonghwa stepped into the spotlight and the audible gasp from the crowd was immediate. You could hear someone behind you whisper âholy shit,â and you didnât blame them. Seonghwa looked good. Silver chains draped across his chest, the open black blazer showing just enough skin to make knees buckle, his hair styled back but a few strands rebelliously falling forward. You sipped your drink, half listening to the screaming around you. If only your coworkers at the hospital could see him now. Confident, clean, seductive, the kind of controlled performance that made everyone pay attention.
Seonghwa didnât beg for the spotlight. He commanded it. He hit every beat with sharp precision, giving attention to each side of the stage, a knowing smirk curling his lips. Until he found you. Your eyes widened a little as he walked toward your side of the stage, fingers tracing his chest before he pointed directly at you, hips grinding to the beat. You groaned and laughed, covering your face for a second before looking back up at him with a smirk, mouthing, âYouâre ridiculous.â Seonghwa winked and didnât break rhythm for a second.
âSomeoneâs enjoying herself.â Wooyoung was peeking out from the side curtain, chin resting on Mingiâs shoulder, both of them hidden in the shadows just past the curtain near the stage entrance. Mingi didnât say a word. He was standing like stone, arms crossed, jaw tight, eyes locked on you. You, in that dress. You, laughing and glowing and completely unaware that you were slowly ruining him. Wooyoung whistled low and let out a chuckle. âGoddamn⊠if you donât finally make a move tonight, San and I will.â Mingi didnât blink. Didnât look away. Didnât even breathe. And Wooyoung, always a menace, grinned. âYouâre on next, lover boy. Better figure it out quick. I donât think that dress is gonna last the night.â Seonghwaâs performance ended to deafening cheers, the crowd still buzzing as the lights shifted and another playlist took over the speakers for the brief intermission. You clapped and whooped with the rest of them, smiling when Seonghwa blew a kiss toward the audience before disappearing behind the curtain.
You needed a drink. Not just because it was hot in here, not just because Seonghwa had turned the place into a damn sauna, but because the momentary flutter in your chest, the one you really didnât want to acknowledge, was starting to feel familiar. You weaved your way toward the bar, still getting looks. A few women gave polite smiles. A few didnât bother hiding the fact they were sizing you up. The bartender handed you your drink, vodka soda, extra lime, and you sipped slowly, watching some of the staff rearrange props on stage for the next set. Youâd just started heading toward the back when the line for the restroom came into view, and you groaned. Of course. You took another sip and slipped into the hallway anyway, heels clicking softly against the dark floor. It was quieter back here, the sound of music muffled by the heavy curtain and door. You were mid scroll on your phone, waiting for the next stall, when you saw her. Daphne. She was across the hall, leaning against the wall by the lounge door, laughing at something on her phone. She hadnât changed much. And even if you hadnât clocked the flirty body language and the way her lipstick was too perfectly smudged, youâd know that face anywhere. Because it was her. The girl youâd walked in on with Mingi.
You took another slow sip of your drink, shoulders straightening, not meaning to eavesdrop. You were just waiting your turn for the restroom, but then she laughed, a sharp, airy little thing, and it drew your attention before you could help it. Sheâd been joined by two other women, both dolled up in the kind of designer clubwear that screamed Iâm not here for drinks, Iâm here for backstage. You couldnât help the sideways glance as Daphne sighed dramatically. âI swear to god, he gets hotter every time I see him,â she said, tossing her hair back like she was still center stage. One of the other girls giggled. âYou mean Mingi?â Daphne rolled her eyes. âWho else? That man could make me forget my own name. I swear, if he so much as glanced at me tonight, Iâd be backstage with my legs in the air before he finishes his set.â That earned a chorus of laughs from the others. âHeâs got that energy,â another one chimed in. âLike, the moment he touches you, you know. I still think about that one nightâŠ.. his hands? Unreal.â
âPlease, I could still feel him the next morning,â Daphne said, sipping her drink with a smug tilt of her lips. âHe knows what heâs doing. Doesnât rush. Doesnât talk much, either. Just grabs your throat and owns you.â Your stomach tightened, a strange, cold twist curling low. You took a slow breath, steadying yourself. It didnât matter. They could talk about the way he fucked them all they wanted. What you had with Mingi was different. It had always been different. Still, you couldnât help the small flicker of something in your chest, some stubborn, possessive ember sparking in the dark. You made quick haste in using the restroom before sliding back into your seat, smoothing your hands down your thighs, trying to push the unease out of your chest. The voices from the bathroom still lingered, too clear to forget. Daphneâs obnoxious giggle, one of the other girls saying something about how fast he always pulled her into his lap, and someone else laughing, âMingiâs a slut, but like, in a fun way.â You knew better. Youâd known him since you were thirteen. Youâd seen every version of him, from the awkward middle schooler who used to trip over his own feet to the man now regularly grinding on stage under heavy lights. But that didnât make it sting any less.
You crossed your legs, sitting straighter, chin up like you werenât affected at all, even though your stomach still felt off as the lights dimmed suddenly, shifting the attention back to the stage, and the low thrum of bass pulsed through the club. Hongjoongâs voice came over the mic, smoother than the whiskey he drank. âAlright, alright⊠try to keep your hands to yourself for this next one. You know who he is.â A moment of silence passed, followed by a mischievous grin. âAnd judging by how loud some of you get when he so much as breathesâŠ. yeah, I know you know.â The crowd laughed, whistles already rising. You blinked, heart kicking a little harder despite everything. âPut your hands together for the one and onlyâŠ. MINGI!â The lights exploded in a rush of violet and gold as the music shifted. And there he was. Mingi barely looked at the crowd when he stepped outâŠ. except for the split second his eyes found yours. A quick glance. But it landed like a punch to the chest. No wink. No smirk this time. Just that unreadable look that made it impossible to tell if he was affected by your presence⊠or trying hard not to be. The music started slow, deep bass with a teasing rhythm, and the screams erupted around you, the kind of shrieking only Mingiâs hips could cause. You swallowed thickly, crossing your legs tighter as he started moving, rolling his shoulders and swaying to the beat with that devastating ease he was known for.
You tried. You really tried not to stare. He was your best friend. He was also wearing pants that looked spray painted on. And you were only human. Your gaze flicked away, anywhere else, anyone else. But of course, it landed on her. Daphne. And her little fan club. Clustered just a few seats down, leaning forward in their chairs like they were watching their favorite scene in a movie. Daphne had one hand resting under her chin, eyes locked on Mingiâs chest like she already had plans for it, while one of her friends whispered something and giggled behind her hand. Jealousy rose in your throat like smoke. Stupid. Stupid. You had no right to be jealous. You werenât his girlfriend. Youâd never even kissed him. But you had seen the way he used to smile at you in high school when no one else got him. You had been the first one to know about his audition. The first to hug him when he got the job. The one who helped him with his first eyeliner wing and teased him for crying during Pixar movies. And now here he was, grinding on stage in front of everyone. Including them.
You blinked hard, forcing your eyes back to the stage as he dropped to his knees and ran one hand up the inside of his thigh, his mouth parted just slightly like he knew exactly what he was doing. No. No, you were not going to fall into the Mingi trap again tonight. Even if you already had. The second verse hit, and the lights dimmed to a smoky red, casting long shadows over Mingiâs body as he stalked down the stage with slow, deliberate steps. His eyes swept over the crowd like a predator picking his target, and you felt your breath catch when, just for a second, they landed on you again but he didnât do anything. He just kept going. There was something different tonight. His usual energy was there, the raw confidence, the way his body moved like he knew it was a weapon, but he wasnât pushing it as hard as he usually did. He wasnât playing up to the crowd, no shirt ripping dramatics, no licking his fingers before dragging them down his chest. It was⊠restrained. Controlled. Almost like he didnât want to give it all away. Still, the screams got louder when he rolled his hips in time with the beat, running one hand through his hair and letting his head tip back. His shirt was already long gone, tossed somewhere into the lights during the first chorus, and now his hands moved to the buckle of his belt, slow and showy but still somehow not cocky.
You caught your bottom lip between your teeth as the pants hit the floor. Black underwear. Tight. Low. Dangerous. Your heart pounded in your ears. The club was electric. One of the girls near Daphne squealed, clutching the otherâs arm, while Daphne herself sat there smugly, eyes dragging up Mingiâs thighs like she owned them. You had to look away. You had to. But your eyes didnât listen. Mingi moved to the edge of the stage, kneeling at the end of it, sweat glistening down his chest as the music hit a low, pulsing bridge. His hands slid slowly down the tops of his thighs, just barely skimming over the elastic of his underwear, and he let the tension sit there, soaking into the air like heat. You couldnât breathe. Couldnât think. And he hadnât even touched himself yet. Because he was holding back. He wasnât here to blow the crowd away tonight. He wasnât here for the loudest cheers or the biggest tips. He wasnât performing like a man who wanted the worldâs attention. He was performing like a man who already knew exactly whose attention he had. And he was being careful with it.
Backstage was chaos. Sweat, laughter, leftover glitter, the low buzz of someoneâs portable speaker still playing the tail end of the track Mingi had just walked off to. But he didnât really hear it. His pulse was still racing, muscles tight, lungs catching on a breath that had nothing to do with dancing as he ran a towel down his chest, flinching a little when the fabric passed over the still damp waistband of his underwear. God. He barely remembered stepping off stage. His mind was stuck on the time your eyes locked with hisâŠ.. âMingi!â Wooyoungâs voice cut through the noise like a shot. âYou good? Or did someone forget it was Seonghwaâs birthday?â
Mingi blinked. âWhat?â Wooyoung crossed his arms, tilting his head with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer. âThat performance? That was, like, 70 percent. Maybe 75 if Iâm being generous.â
âI hit every step,â Mingi muttered, still towel drying his hair like it would help him avoid this conversation. âYeah, yeah, the steps were there. But the filth? The drama? The tongue and hand action?â Wooyoung held up his fingers like a checklist. âGone. Missing. On vacation.â Mingi threw the towel at his face. âGet out of my business.â
âI wouldâŠ. if your business wasnât being all tense because a certain someoneâs sitting out there looking like a sin in heels and barely even glancing your way.â Mingi froze. âShe glanced.â
âOh, she glanced,â Wooyoung agreed with a smirk. âBut the other girls? They drooled. And you didnât even give them a good reason to.â Mingi dragged a hand down his face with a frustrated sigh, ignoring the heat curling in his chest. âItâs Seonghwaâs night.â Wooyoung grinned. âExactly! Which means you shouldâve been out there slutting it up in his honor.â He threw a dramatic hand to his chest. âInstead, you came off like a sad stripper whoâs in love with his best friend but trying to hide it by pretending heâs not thinking about her in that tiny black dress.â Mingi narrowed his eyes. âThat was weirdly specific.â Wooyoung gave him a slow blink. âAm I wrong?â Mingi didnât answer. He didnât have to. Because Wooyoung already knew.
The final song boomed through the club, the kind of bass heavy anthem that had drinks sloshing, phones up, and the floor vibrating with heat and sweat. San and Wooyoung had just finished their performance with the kind of chaos only they could pull off together, shirts missing, glitter somehow everywhere, Wooyoung mouthing something obscene into a camera someone definitely had on him. The rest of the guys had joined them on stage, shirtless, glistening, hyped, all of them catching their breath as Hongjoong stepped forward with a mic and that dangerous glint in his eye again. âAlright, alright!â he yelled, breathless, cheeks flushed from champagne and adrenaline. âItâs that time againâŠ.. lap dance giveaway!â The crowd screamed. Phones shot higher. Someone whistled so loud Hongjoong flinched. âSo hereâs how it works,â he grinned, gesturing behind him. âAll our lovely dancers are up here. But you, the audience, get to vote who gives the final lap dance of the night!â The crowd erupted into cheers again, hands shooting up, chants starting. Names were shouted, screamed, begged for, Seonghwa, San, Wooyoung, Yeosang. But then someone yelled Mingiâs name. Then someone else. And another. Until it turned into a wave. âMingi! Mingi! Mingi!â
âAlright!â Seonghwa suddenly cut in, grabbing the mic from Hongjoong. His voice was full of playful command. âItâs my birthday, which means I get to pick who the lucky recipient is.â That brought fresh noise from the audience, whooping in anticipation as Seonghwa turned in a slow circle, gaze sweeping the room like a spotlight until it landed on you. He didnât say your name. Didnât need to. Because every single person in the room watched his eyes land on you. Watched that wicked birthday smirk spread across his face. âI pickâŠâ he said, pausing for dramatic effect, still staring dead at you, âher.â The spotlight followed his gaze, landing on your stunned, wide eyed face as Wooyoung literally turned around on stage, hand clamped over his mouth, his whole body shaking with silent laughter. Because your expression? Stunned. Borderline panicked. And Mingi? He looked like heâd just been told to walk a tightrope over a pit of lava with you on the other end. âOh, this is so much better than cake,â Wooyoung wheezed under his breath, turning just enough to glance back at the two of you. âHappy fucking birthday, Seonghwa.â
Sanâs hand was warm as it wrapped around your wrist, pulling you to your feet before your brain could even catch up to what was happening. âCome on,â he grinned, voice low in your ear. âDonât make me carry you.â Your legs moved on autopilot, your heart slamming behind your ribs as the crowd parted and Yeosang appeared like some smug ass magician with a sleek black chair, placing it center stage with a little bow like tada. Your knees nearly gave out when San guided you to sit. The spotlight was on you, heat prickling down your spine, adrenaline crashing through your bloodstream. Somewhere in the fog of music and shock, you became vaguely aware of more movement behind you. A couple of the club staff were rolling out a cart with a glowing birthday cake lit up in white and gold, sparklers shooting off on either side with Seonghwaâs name scrawled across the top in elegant frosting. You could barely register the cake though. Because your eyes found Mingi. He hadnât moved. He was standing off to the side, jaw locked, eyes dark, arms loose at his sides like he was trying so hard not to look at you but failing miserably.
And then he did look at you and it was like the whole club disappeared. Every person, every scream, every spotlight. Just his eyes on you as your thighs clenched automatically under his gaze, heat crawling up your neck because fuck, your best friend was about to give you a lap dance. In front of everyone. At Seonghwaâs birthday show. With Daphne still watching. And you still werenât sure if this was a dream or a fever or both as Mingi finally moved and stepped in front of you, and for a moment⊠he didnât move. His hand flexed at his side. His jaw clenched. The song pulsed through the air, but he stayed frozen, just looking at you like you were a loaded gun aimed right at his chest. You tilted your head, a teasing smile trying to save you both from this moment, from whatever this was turning into. But Mingi didnât smile back. He exhaled through his nose, low and slow, and finally stepped closer and the screams got louder. But you could barely hear them. All you saw was Mingi, hesitant, trying to remember how to perform when his best friend was the one looking up at him in that dress, legs parted now just enough to flash bare thigh under the dim red lighting. He moved to the beat, slow, calculated, his fingers dragging across his chest, down the sculpted lines of his stomach. But it was cautious, more controlled than usual. Like he was holding back. Because he was. This wasnât just a show anymore. This was you. And Mingi didnât know how the hell he was supposed to pretend anymore.
Each step was perfectly timed, but you knew him, knew when his movements were real and when he was playing a part. And this? This was him half there, his body moving on autopilot, hips swaying gently as he circled behind you. The crowd didnât care though, they were eating it up either way, but you felt it. That barely there tension in his hands as they hovered just above your shoulders. The stutter in his breath as he leaned in, but didnât touch. It was the hesitation of a man trying not to cross a line heâd drawn for himself a long time ago. But then your hand lifted. Just a little as you reached behind you and placed it lightly on his thigh. And that was it. That was all it took. Mingi snapped. The second your hand pressed against his leg, his hands dropped to your shoulders, firm now, grounding himself on you as his body rolled into yours from behind like instinct had taken over, dragging his hips against the back of the chair, down the curve of your spine as the crowd screamed louder, but it sounded distant to you still, muffled beneath the rush of blood in your ears as Mingiâs hands slid down your arms, gripping your wrists gently and placing them on his chest as he stepped around to face you. His eyes locked with yours, full of something raw and deep and buried far too long. You didnât even know where to put your hands until he guided them, keeping his over yours as he rolled his hips forward, grinding down just slow enough to feel obscene and your legs fell open allowing his knee to push between them. And when the chorus of Happy Birthday to you hit Seonghwaâs name, Mingi dropped it low.
One of his hands braced on your thigh, the other sliding up the back of your neck, fingers threading into your hair as he rocked his body into yours like he wasnât surrounded by people, like you were the only one in the room. Because to him, you were. And Seonghwa, bless him, just laughed, clapping along, fully aware his birthday performance had officially been hijacked by a man realizing far too late that he he should of said too long ago that he was in love with his best friend. The music pulsed louder now, slower and dirtier, like it knew what was happening. And so did he. Mingi didnât hesitate anymore. His hands, once careful, once unsure, were everywhere now. Gripping your waist, skimming your hips, dragging up your sides like he had permission now. Like heâd finally allowed himself to stop pretending this didnât mean something. And you werenât any better. Your fingers slid up his chest, nails grazing the skin at his waist as your head tipped back, eyes half lidded as you let him move against you. Let him show you exactly how good his body could feel pressed this close, this tight, this intentional. It wasnât a performance anymore. Not really. It was foreplay. The way he rolled his hips, slow, deep, then faster, grinding into your inner thigh like he needed the friction. The way your nails dug into his back, pulling him down just enough that your lips brushed his jaw. You werenât even thinking anymore, just feeling. The scent of his cologne, the heat of his skin, the way the room spun a little every time his hand gripped your thigh and squeezed. And the crowd? Still singing. Still cheering. But quieter now. Because something was happening on stage they werenât meant to see as Mingi leaned in, his mouth grazing your ear as his breath fanned hot across your neck. âYou look like a fucking dream in this dress,â he murmured, voice low, hoarse, possessive. âYou know that?â Your breath caught as you looked up at him, your best friend. Your Mingi. Except not the same Mingi you knew. This was the one who couldnât hold back anymore as his hand slid between your thighs, not quite touching, but just hovering, the ghost of contact making your whole body ache and your thighs to press together, chest rising, eyes locked with his right as the final beat hit.
Then the music ended and the lights dimmed. And for just one breathless moment, the two of you stood frozen in the silence. Mingiâs hand still on your thigh caught between the clench of them, heat pulsing between you like the crowd never existed. The spell didnât break until San whooped and slapped Mingi on the back like he hadnât just dry humped his best friend in front of the entire club. Laughter exploded around the room, cake was smeared across Seonghwaâs cheek, but Mingi didnât laugh as he looked at you. And you knewâŠ. he felt it too. That nothing between you would ever be the same after tonight.
The bar glowed in warm amber light, crowded but cozy, the bass of the music low enough to talk over, the laughter loud enough to ignore the awkward silences. You were still buzzing from the show, from the attention, from Mingiâs hands on you. But now, seated across from him at the long booth table, all that heat had simmered down to a prickling awareness. Every time you looked up, he was already looking at you. Every time he looked away, you wanted to ask why. But neither of you said a word. Wooyoung, of course, had no such filter. âOkay, okayâŠ. but remember when Hongjoong walked in on me and San with that guy backstage?â he grinned, already snorting into his drink before the story even started. âLike pants around ankles, Sanâs hand halfway to heaven, and Joong just⊠deadpan. Completely dead inside.â Yeosang choked on his beer as San just threw a napkin at him. âYou promised youâd never bring that up again.â Wooyoung sing songed. âOops,â Seonghwa leaned over, grinning lazily. âHonestly, Iâm just mad I missed it.â They all laughed as Wooyoung looked to you and Mingi with a devious look. âWhat about you two? You ever accidentally walk in on each other?â You felt your heart stop for a second as Mingi shook his head. âNo,â he said instantly, like it was a dumb question. âNever.â You hesitated. It was maybe half a second but Mingi noticed. Wooyoung noticed too, but he just raised a brow and took another sip, letting the silence stretch. âWait,â Mingi said slowly, leaning forward a little. âWhyâd you pause?â
You looked at him, really looked at him. And maybe it was the lingering jealousy. Maybe it was the feel of his hands on your thighs still haunting you. Or maybe it was just time. You set your drink down carefully and met his eyes. âA year ago,â you said, voice calm. âI came homeâŠ. You wereâŠon the couch.â His brows pinched together for half a second. âWaitâŠ. what?â You took a long sip of your drink, eyes fixed on the amber liquid. âYou were on the couch. With Daphne.â The name hit the table like a dropped glass. Yeosangâs chewing stopped. San blinked. Seonghwa looked between you and Mingi like he was watching the opening act to a car crash as Mingi sat back slightly. âYou never said anything.â You met his gaze. âWhat would I have said? Hey, saw you getting rode last night, looked busy?â Wooyoung snorted hard. âOh my god. Youâve been holding onto that?â You smiled, but it didnât reach your eyes. âWasnât exactly something I wanted to remember.â Mingiâs jaw clenched. âYou⊠how long were you there?â You shrugged not meeting his eyes. âLong enough.â It was quiet for a long moment before Seonghwa raised his glass with a smirk. âHappy birthday to me. Damn.â The table chuckled. But Mingiâs gaze didnât leave you. You didnât say anything else. Just slid out of the booth and made your way toward the bar, your dress hugging every curve like it knew Mingi was watching. Because he was. Everyone was. But he looked wrecked, jaw set, brow furrowed, eyes tracking you like you might disappear if he blinked.
âBro.â Mingi didnât look away from where you stood now, leaning your elbows on the bar. Wooyoung leaned in, voice louder this time. âBro.â Mingi blinked, barely glancing at him. âWhat?â Wooyoung leaned across the table like Mingi was two seconds from being smacked upside the head, âyou practically fucked her onstage. I had to turn around.â Mingi ran a hand down his face, groaning. âI didnât mean for it to go that far.â Yeosang snorted into his drink. âYes you did. Now youâre just too scared to do anything about it.â Silence settled for another moment before Mingi stood and the rest of the guys just watched him go, heads tilted like they were watching a soap opera in real time as Wooyoung raised his glass. âGodspeed, idiot.â You were mid laugh, fingers lightly curled around the straw of your drink as the bartender leaned just a little closer than necessary. âOn the house,â he said smoothly, sliding you another cocktail you hadnât asked for. âPretty girls shouldnât have to pay.â You were about to respond, something between polite and dismissive, when a body moved in behind you, warm and familiar, towering enough that the bartenderâs cocky grin faltered.
âDidnât know we were offering free drinks for anyone,â Mingi said, voice calm but edged. His hand slid along the bar beside yours, not touching you but close enough your breath caught as the bartender gave a chuckle. âClub policy for regulars.â Mingi tilted his head. âSheâs not a regular.â You finally turned your head, trying not to look startled by how close he was. âHey.â He looked at you, not the bartender. âHey.â The air shifted. Dense. Charged. âI was justâŠâ you started, but the bartender cut in. âShe was telling me about a cake. Big party. You guys always go this hard?â Mingi didnât smile. âOnly when it matters.â His eyes dropped to the drink the bartender had slid over to you. âYou sure you want that one?â You raised a brow. âItâs just a drink.â Mingi stepped a little closer. His chest almost brushing your back. âSome drinks have strings.â You felt the words low in your stomach as the bartender, sensing the tension, awkwardly wiped his hands on a bar towel. âIâll, uh⊠check on the other side.â Mingi nodded. âGood idea,â he said flatly but he didnât move even after the guy disappeared down the bar. You turned to face him fully, chin lifted âSubtle. You just scared off the bartender.â Mingi shrugged like he didnât care. âHe was flirting with you.â You snorted. âI know.â Mingi stepped closer, crowding into your space like he had every right to be there. âAnd you were flirting back.â You swallowed hard, your voice a little softer now. âWhat if I was?â His eyes dropped to your lips. âThen I guess Iâm done pretending to be just your best friend.â
You stared at him, heart stuttering in your chest like it couldnât decide whether to leap or freeze. âWhat?â The word came out small, not because you didnât hear him but because it hit you like a damn freight train. Mingi didnât move, didnât blink, didnât try to play it off. There was a pause thick enough to cut, bass from the music thumping through the floor beneath your heels, laughter echoing from the other side of the bar, none of it touching the two of you though as he said it, voice low and rough at the edges, âBest friends donât look at each other the way we did tonight.â Your breath caught. He wasnât smiling. There was no teasing in his eyes. Just truth. Hot, heavy, terrifying truth. âYou wanna go home?â It was simple. But it wasnât. Because home didnât mean your shared apartment anymore. It didnât mean crashing on the couch with takeout and reruns of shitty reality shows. It didnât mean what it usually did. Not tonight. Tonight, it meant crossing a line youâd both been toeing for years. You stared at him, pulse thudding in your throat like it was trying to answer for you. âYeah,â you said softly, throat dry. âLetâs go.â Mingi nodded, sharp, determined, and gently took the drink from your hand to set it on the bar behind you, fingers brushing yours, just barely, but it was enough to ignite sparks that raced up your spine. You didnât even look back as he led you toward the door.
Seonghwa, still nursing a half melted cocktail, watched with narrowed eyes before smirking around the rim of his glass. He set it down with a little clink and looked at the rest of the guys. âFinally,â he muttered, like heâd just won a long running bet with the universe. Yeosang grinned. Wooyoung practically choked on his drink and leaned into San as the doors opened and in walked Daphne with two friends flanking her like backup singers. She spotted Mingi immediately, a slow smirk curling on her face. âWell, well,â she purred, walking right into his path, tilting her head. âDidnât expect to see you leaving so earlyâŠâ Mingi didnât even break stride. He didnât even look at her. He just tightened his grip on your hand and led you straight past her like she was nothing but background noise.
The door clicked shut behind you, the quiet thud echoing through the apartment louder than it should have. Neither of you said a word as you toed off your shoes slowly, one heel, then the other, the soft tap of them hitting the floor sounding way too intimate in the silence. Mingi did the same, shrugging out of his jacket and draping it over the back of the couch, his eyes never once leaving you. The room felt heavier now. Warmer. You stood there, still dressed like temptation, your chest rising and falling just a little faster than usual as Mingiâs jaw twitched, watching you, like he was trying to keep a leash on something, something coiled deep and tense behind his eyes. âNineteen,â Mingi finally said, voice low, like it physically hurt to get the word out. His eyes didnât waver. âNineteen. We were nineteen when I realized I was in love with you.â Your breath stuttered. âEight years,â he went on, stepping closer, slowly, like he was afraid if he rushed it, youâd disappear. âEight years pretending I didnât want you. Eight years burying myself in other people, eyes closed, pretending it was you.â You swallowed hard, heart thudding, knees wobbling slightly from the weight of his confession as Mingi let out a shaky laugh, no humor in it. âThis dress,â he murmured, gaze dropping for the briefest second before dragging back to your face. âFirst time you wore it, I left my own birthday party. Because if I didnât, I was gonna drag you into the back room and rip it off you.â You stood there stunned, lips parted, head spinning. And Mingi? He just looked like a man whoâd finally stopped running.
Your lips parted, breath shaky. âDo it. Mingi blinked, confused. âWhat?â You stepped forward, slowly, your eyes locked on his. âRip the dress off me.â For a second, he didnât move, like he was trying to make sure you really said it, like maybe his mind was playing tricks on him. But then his jaw clenched, nostrils flared, and something in his expression shifted, snapped. âYouâŠâ he started, voice cracking. âYou canât say shit like that unless you mean it.â You didnât hesitate. âI do.â Mingi surged forward, grabbing you and crashing his mouth onto yours like heâd finally lost the battle with himself. His hands cupped your face at first, tender despite the heat between you, lips hungry and frantic as years of tension detonated all at once. You clutched at his shirt, pulling him closer, the kiss turning messy, deeper, desperate. When you gasped into his mouth, his hands dropped, skimming down your body until they gripped your hips tight and he pulled back, just enough to look at you, his breath ragged. âLast chance,â he whispered. âTell me to stop, and I will.â But you didnât. Instead, you slid his hand up the side of your dress, resting it right at the seam with your thigh, and whispered, âRip it.â His fingers curled into the fabric, and with one hard pull, the dress tore with a sharp rrrrip, seams splitting clean down the back. It slid from your shoulders like it had been waiting to fall off you, pooling around your feet as the air hit your bare skin and his eyes darkened, swallowing the sight of you whole as he stood there, chest heaving, his gaze devouring every inch of you like he was seeing you for the first time, not his best friend in a towel, not the girl whoâs lived in oversized shirts and underwear on lazy Sundays, not the one heâs caught glimpses of a hundred times in shared spaces and never touched.
This was you. Naked, save for the thin scrap of panties clinging to your hips. Wanting him. And he was completely undone. âFuck,â he muttered, voice low, reverent, almost in disbelief. âYouâre gonna ruin me.â He wrapped his arms around your thighs and lifted you effortlessly, your legs instinctively hooking around his waist as his mouth found your breast the moment you were against him, hot and hungry, tongue dragging over your nipple before he sucked it into his mouth. One hand held you firm while the other palmed up your spine, fingers splaying against your skin like he needed to memorize the shape of you. You gasped, your hand tangling in his short hair as his teeth grazed your nipple. He didnât stop walking. He carried you down the hallway, dimly lit by the soft glow of the living room behind you. He passed his room and paused in front of your door before kicked it open gently, not even looking, his focus locked entirely on the way your body trembled in his arms, the way your breath hitched every time his mouth moved. He lowered you onto your bed like he was setting something sacred down, carefully, slowly, even though his chest was tight and his pulse wild. His mouth never left your skin, lips still wrapped around your breast, tongue swirling as he sucked and teased. The second your back hit the mattress, he settled between your legs, one arm braced beside you while the other slid down, tracing your side, your hip, dragging goosebumps in his wake.
You arched into him when his hand finally slipped between your thighs and the soft, wrecked sound that escaped him when he felt how wet you wereâŠ.. âShitâŠâ he groaned against your chest, breath hot. âYouâre soaked.â His fingers teased over the damp fabric, tracing you slowly, reverently, like he was still trying to convince himself this wasnât a dream. Then he pressed down just enough to make your hips twitch and pulled his mouth from your breast to look up at you. âAll that⊠from me?â he murmured, voice low and dark. âFrom that dance? From touching you?â A moan escaped you as you met his gaze. âBoth,â you whispered, breath hitching and Mingi groaned like it punched the air from his lungs, raw and low in his throat. His fingers curled into your panties, dragging them down just enough, his gaze flicking between your face and where his hand disappeared. âYouâre killing me,â he muttered, voice rough, almost pained. And then, finally, his fingers slid through your folds, slow and teasing, gathering your wetness before pushing inside. âFuck,â he hissed, head dropping to your chest as he curled his fingers and felt you clench around him. âYou feel like this for me? All night?â You nodded, your fingers threading through his hair, your thighs parting wider as your hips tilted to chase the pressure as he started moving them, slow at first, deep, curling with every stroke as your body arched under him. âMingi,â you gasped, and he shuddered, biting down gently on your breast as he pumped his fingers faster. âSay it again,â he growled.
You grabbed his jaw, hard enough that his lips parted, his eyes snapping to yours like youâd just yanked a leash. âFuck me with your fingers,â you ordered, dragging his face closer, your thighs tightening around his wrist. âMake me come like Iâve wanted you to for years.â Mingiâs eyes darkened, and something unholy snapped behind them. He growled, a sound from deep in his chest and then his mouth was on your neck, teeth scraping skin as his fingers slammed back into you, no more teasing, no more hesitation. He curled them hard, rough, filthy and perfect, pumping into you with the kind of rhythm that made your hips lift and your moans fall apart. âLike this?â he rasped into your throat. âIs this how you want it?â You barely managed a nod before your back arched off the bed, your nails raking down his arm, every nerve ending on fire. And he wasnât stopping. Not until you screamed for him. Your fingers dove into his hair again, tugging hard enough to make him groan against your skin as you yanked his head back just enough to meet his eyes, eyes that were already glassy with lust, lips slick from the path theyâd traced across your chest. âDonât stop,â you panted, grinding down against his hand, riding his fingers like you owned them. âFuckâŠ. just like that, Mingi. God, you feel so fucking good⊠why the hell did we wait so long?â Your voice was wrecked, dripping filth and fire, every word going straight to his already aching dick. He swore under his breath, low and guttural, his jaw clenching as your wetness coated his hand and wrist. âYou have no idea,â he growled, fingers curling harder, deeper. âYou have no idea what youâre doing to me right now.â You leaned in, lips brushing his as you whispered, âThen shut up and ruin me.â
Mingiâs whole body tensed, he was gone. Absolutely gone. Nothing about this was best friends anymore. Nothing about this was safe. Not with you saying things like that, not with your body soaked and begging for him, not with the way your thighs were trembling around his wrist as your orgasm started to crest. Heâd never been more turned on in his life. âFuck,â He groaned, voice wrecked as he watched you tremble around his fingers. He couldnât take it, couldnât take you like this, soaked, panting, eyes glazed over with need and begging for more. He pulled his fingers out slow, slick dripping down his knuckles, and you whined at the sudden emptiness. But before you could even finish the sound, he was already dropping between your thighs. âSpread for me,â he muttered, breath hot against your core as he hooked his hands under your knees and pushed them wide. Then his mouth was on you. Hot, hungry and possessive. His tongue slid through your folds like heâd been starving for you, moaning into you as if heâd just tasted salvation. He sucked your clit into his mouth, slow at first, teasing the way he knew would drive you insane and when you gasped and tried to grind into his face, he growled, locking your hips down with his arms. You could feel how messy it was, his spit, your arousal, his tongue working like he was trying to memorize every part of you. And the worst part? He wasnât stopping. He wasnât giving you room to breathe. âMingiâŠâ you gasped, thighs shaking, hands flying back to his hair. But he still didnât let up. He just moaned again, eyes dark and locked on yours from between your legs as he devoured you like he was never letting you go.
Your fingers tightened in his hair, both hands gripping as you ground yourself against his mouth, chasing every wicked flick of his tongue. You could feel him moan into you again and again, deep and guttural, the sound vibrating against your clit as your hips rolled harder. âJust like thatâŠ. fuck, Mingi, donât stopâŠ. your mouth feels so fucking good,â you gasped, voice breathy. âAlways wondered how that pretty mouth would feel between my thighsâŠ. look at you, baby, making me so goddamn wet.â Mingi let out a desperate sound at that, eyes fluttering shut as his grip on your thighs tightened. You felt him rock forward slightly, and when you glanced down, the sight had you gasping all over again. He was rutting against the bed. Still fully clothed, still eating you out like it was the only thing keeping him alive as his hips grounded down into the mattress, trying to get even the smallest bit of friction as he moaned with every move you made. Your back arched, hands fisting tighter in his hair. âFuck, youâre gonna make yourself come like that?â you whispered, completely wrecked. âHumping the bed like a needy little thing while your tongueâs buried in my pussy?â His growl vibrated right through you and somehow, impossibly, he started devouring you even harder before he pulled back just long enough to catch his breath, lips slick and swollen, the look in his eyes feral. You were trembling beneath him, but it didnât stop him, his fingers slipped right back in, two thrusting deep into your soaked heat while his thumb dragged slow, tight circles over your clit. You barely had time to gasp before he added pressure, angling just rightâŠ. and then you felt it. A smaller finger, his pinky, teasing your other hole. âMingiâŠ. fuckâŠâ
âI got you,â he whispered, voice ragged with need, âI got you, baby, just feel me.â It was overwhelming, his fingers stroking deep, his thumb rubbing perfectly, his pinky pushing in so carefully it made your whole body jolt. You couldnât breathe, couldnât think, only chase the high he was pulling from you so ruthlessly. You reached for him without thinking, fingers tangling in his hair again, dragging him up to crash your mouth into his. It was messy, all tongue and teeth, but it grounded you just enough right before it hit. Your whole body tensed as you came hard, crying out against his mouth, your thighs clamping around his hand as you squirted, soaking him, the sheets, everything and Mingi moaned into the kiss, swallowing every sound you made as he worked you through it, eyes wide like he couldnât believe what he just did to you. Like he wanted, needed, more. He barely had time to catch his breath again before you shoved at his chest, pushing him back until he sat at the edge of the bed, hands bracing behind him, chest rising and falling like heâd just run a marathon. âStrip.â Your voice was low, wrecked, but laced with command making him blink once, then grinned, slow and sinful. The kind of grin that always came out on stage when the beat dropped and the lights hit just right. Except now it was for you and only you. âAfter all,â he murmured, fingers already moving to the hem of his shirt, âitâs my job, isnât it?â You didnât answer. You didnât have to. Because Mingi was already peeling his shirt up over his head, revealing that strong, lean torso youâd seen a thousand times but never like this. Never with that fire in his eyes, never with your slick still glistening on his fingers. His pants followed, slow and deliberate, teasing. And when they hit the floor, and he stood there in nothing but tight black briefs, hard and straining, the outline of him unmistakable, you couldnât help the way your legs shifted restlessly on the sheets. âTell me,â he said, voice a little breathless, âdo I take these off too, or do you want to do it?â
You slid off the bed, the air thick between you as you sank to your knees in front of him. Mingi stood there, chest rising, lips parted, watching your every move as your fingers hooked into the waistband of his briefs, and he let out a shaky breath, hips twitching forward before he caught himself. You dragged the fabric down slowly, his briefs slipping past his hips, your eyes widening just slightly because he was big. Thick, heavy, already flushed and twitching, curving just a little toward his stomach. The kind of big that made your mouth water and your thighs press together. âFuck,â you whispered without thinking. Your hand wrapped firmly around the base of him, and when you looked up, your voice was low, teasing and daring. âYouâve thought about this, havenât you?â Mingiâs breath stuttered. His hands clenched at his sides like he didnât know what to do with them. His mouth opened but nothing came out at first, just a flush creeping up his neck, dark and undeniable. âYeah.â His voice was hoarse, nearly a groan. âSo many fucking times.â You tilted your head, your grip giving just the slightest squeeze, and his abs tensed. âShow me how much,â you whispered. âShow me everything youâve been holding back.â Mingiâs hand slid up, fingers curling under your chin as he tilted your face up to meet his gaze. âOpen,â he said, voice low and wrecked. And you didnât hesitate, just smirked, lips parting slowly, eyes locked on his as your tongue teased the air between you. The sound he made was pure sin, one of his hands bracing atop your head as the other guided himself to your mouth, slow and deliberate. He let the tip brush your bottom lip, and your tongue flicked against it, dragging a ragged groan from his chest. âFuck,â he breathed, as he began to slowly push in, the heat of your mouth making his jaw clench, every muscle in his body drawn tight with restraint. You started slow, the heat of your mouth wrapping around him as your tongue teased lazy circles. Mingiâs hand twitched at his side, fighting the urge to grab your hair, his breath already uneven. âDonât do that,â he muttered, voice gravel. âDonât teaseâŠâ But you didnât listen. You sank down just a little more, then pulled back with a filthy pop, smirking up at him like you had all the time in the world. Like you werenât seconds away from wrecking him. And then you hollowed your cheeks and the groan that ripped out of Mingiâs chest was downright desperate as you took more of him, hands sliding up to grip his thighs for leverage. You let your nails dig in just enough to make him twitch, then started moving, slow, controlled strokes at first, lips gliding, tongue working every inch of him with practiced ease.
âShit,â he breathed, his hand finally tangling in your hair. âYouâŠ. fuck, babyâŠâ But you had control now. And you didnât let up. You looked up at him with glassy eyes, mouth full of him, and let him see the exact moment you relaxed your throat and pushed deeper, your grip on his thighs tightening as you urged him to move. And he did. Thrust by slow, shaking thrust, Mingi began to fuck into your mouth, his rhythm building as you moaned around him, the sound sending shivers up his spine. His other hand joined the first in your hair, voice broken as he whispered your name like a curse and a prayer all at once as you moaned around him, the vibration making his knees nearly give out. His grip tightened in your hair as he rutted into your mouth, breath ragged, jaw slack. You let him use you, let him fall apart like he had no control left, taking him deep, your moans growing louder, wetter, filthier. He was close. Too close. And then he groaned, a rough, strangled sound, and pulled out, chest heaving, dick glistening as it twitched in the air between you. âFuckâŠâ he looked down at you like he didnât know whether to drop to his knees or throw you onto the bed and ruin you. âNot yet.â His voice was thick. âWanna be inside you when I come.â He reached down and pulled you up with ease, one hand on your hip, the other sliding around your waist like he was ready to take control, like this was going to go the way it always did for him. But he had no idea. You pushed against his chest, hard, catching him off guard and sending him stumbling back onto the bed. âWhatâŠ.â Before he could finish the question, you were crawling up after him, slow and purposeful, your eyes locked on his, a wicked little smirk tugging at your lips as you straddled his hips. âMingi,â you purred, hands sliding up his chest, nails grazing just enough to make him twitch, âyou really thought youâd be the one in charge tonight?â He swallowed hard, pupils dilating, the realization sinking in as you leaned down, lips brushing against his ear as you whispered, âLie back. Be good. And let me fuck you.â You didnât give him time to respond. Instead, you lowered yourself slowly, lips brushing his chest, the line of his ribs, the dip of his stomach, every kiss deliberate, a tease and a promise all in one as Mingiâs breathing turned ragged beneath you, his muscles tense under your mouth, but he didnât move. Didnât dare.
You reached his hips, sitting up, your nails dragging lightly along his sides as your eyes met his again. His hands gripped the sheets, knuckles white as you finally reached between you, guiding him to your entrance, already soaked and ready. You took your time, just the tip at first, the stretch enough to make you both exhale. Then, with one slow, deliberate roll of your hips, you sank down onto him, inch by thick inch, until he was buried inside you. Mingiâs head fell back with a choked moan, his hands flying to your thighs but stopping short of grabbing, like even now he was waiting to see what youâd let him do. âFuck,â he breathed. âYou feelâŠ.. fuck.â You smiled, starting to move, slow and deep, claiming him like you always should have. You rolled your hips in tight circles, feeling every inch of him stretch you open. Then you picked up speed, bouncing harder, riding him faster with each thrust. Your thighs flexed as you slammed down onto him, the wet slap of your bodies filling the room as you reached up, fingers wrapping around his throat, squeezing just enough to make his eyes flutter. âLook at you,â you breathed, voice thick with heat. âTaking my pussy so fucking good.â You pounded down onto him, your ass meeting his thighs with every drop as your grip on his throat tightened and you leaned in close, lips brushing his ear. âYou see what you do to me, Mingi?â You pulled him up by the throat so he could watch, his eyes going wide at the sight of you coating his dick, creaming him, strings of it stretching every time you lifted off and slammed back down.
He whimpered, the sound raw and broken, hips twitching up to meet you as you kept fucking him, relentless, your walls gripping him tight. âYou gonna come for me, Mingi? You said you pictured me while you were buried in someone elseâŠâ your grip on his throat tightened again, pulling yourself all the way up before slamming back down onto him. ânow look at me as you come.â A broken âfuckâ tore from his throat as his dick jerked inside you as he did, cum flooding your pussy in thick pulses as his body shook under you. But you didnât stop riding him, milking every drop while your hand stayed locked around his throat. âYouâre mine,â you growled, squeezing tighter. Your free hand sliding down between your bodies, fingers rubbing fast circles over your swollen clit and pleasure slammed into you hard making you cry out, pussy clenching and fluttering around him as you came gushing out around him. Before you could lift off, Mingiâs hands locked around your waist and he sat up in one fluid motion, still buried inside you, grabbing your legs, hooking them over his shoulders, holding you up like that, your back arched, his dick angled deeper. âClench me,â he ordered, voice low and rough. You obeyed instantly, your pussy squeezing around him in rhythmic pulses. He didnât move at first, just held you suspended, feeling every squeeze. Then he started thrusting, slow, deliberate lifts that dragged his dick almost all the way out before sinking back in. The pace building gradually, each thrust deeper, harder, until he was fucking you with full force and your hands clutched at his shoulders, nails digging in as he took complete control, pounding up into you while you hung onto him.
âSuch a good girl,â he praised between thrusts, voice strained. âTaking every inch like you were made for it.â Your orgasm crashed over you again without warning, squirting hard around him, soaking his abs and thighs. Mingi pulled out just enough to watch the mess, holding you up so he could see your pussy pulsing and dripping before he flipped you onto your stomach, spreading your legs wide. His tongue dragged through your soaked folds, licking up the mess youâd made, sucking at your clit before kissing his way up your spine and flipped you again onto your back, wrapping your legs around his waist as he sank back into you with one smooth thrust. He sucked at one of your nipples, tongue swirling over it while he started fucking you slow and deep. One hand grabbed both of your wrists, pinning them above your head as his other braced beside you, hips snapping harder, pace picking up. Sweat slicking your bodies together. âI love you,â he panted against your mouth, forehead pressed to yours. âI love you.â You were too far gone to form words at first, just moaning and gasping as he fucked you relentlessly. âCome for me,â he growled. âFuckâŠ. youâre mine. Mine. Iâm yours.â Your orgasm ripped through you, body shaking as you cried out, âI love you tooâ and Mingi followed right after, burying himself to the hilt and filling you once more, his dick throbbing as he groaned your name and stayed inside you, rocking gently through the aftershocks, both of you panting and clinging to each other. The room smelled like sex and sweat, your bodies joined, hearts pounding in sync as he kissed you, hands finally releasing your wrists so he could stroke your hair, whispering how perfect you felt around him, how long heâd wanted this, how he never wanted to let you go and you stayed wrapped around him, legs locked at his back, his cum leaking out around his softening dick while you both caught your breath, the intensity of everything youâd just done settling into something warm and possessive between you.
You stroked his back as he buried his face into the crook of your neck. Then you could think. The thought of him now after everything, onstage, not the stripping part, but the touching other women. The lap dancesâŠ. the thought made you surge with possessiveness. âNo more lap dances.â It took a moment for Mingi to register but when he did, he laughed softly into your neck. âI promise from now on I will only grind on you.â He lifted his head and looked down at you. âNo more sex with hot patients who flirt with you.â You laughed this time, fingers tangling into his hair, pulling him back down, your other hand moving to stroke his jaw, thumb brushing his bottom lip. âI promise from now onâŠ.â You kissed him. âYouâre the only one I will fuck in an on call room.â You both laughed at that. Snuggling into each other.

Your eyes are burning. Mascara melting from your lashes, falsies peeling up at the inner corners from the down pour of tears streaming from your eyes. You could barely make out the shapes of the various awards placed on the shelf across the room in Hongjoongâs studio, all of them too distorted and blurry.Â
Your bratty attitude landed you in the position you were in, bent over the arm of the black leather sofa. One too many complaints about redoing the chorus of the title track to your new album and Hongjoong lost the patience that has been hanging by a thread for the last week of working with you. Nevermind your teasing touches and all of the innuendos thrown his way by you, it was your continuous lack of work ethic that made him snap and put you in your place.
A firm hand gripped the hair at the crown of your head, bunched up in a fist at the root of your hair while the other hand worked you on his cock. Slamming your hips against his pelvis, splatters of your wetness leaving droplets on the side of the sofa, coating your inner thighs and his pelvis. Hongjoong was thankful for the sound proofness of his studio, your wailing and the sound of your messy pussy would be echoing down the company hallway if not for it.Â
âSuch a pretty voice. If only you could sound this pretty when I asked you to, you wouldn't be wasting my time and crying on my cock.â Hongjoong pushes out through gritted teeth. The slide of him in your tight walls felt fucking magical he could nut in you then and there. But he had a lesson to teach.Â
âIâm s-s-orry,â you manage to moan out. Probably the 35th time you've apologized since he pushed your face into the cold leather and split you open. Heâs so thick, the way he fills you up each time he punches his hips forwards, fucking bruises into the hinge where your upper thighs meets your lower abdomen on the arm of the couch, it's overwhelming in the best way possible.Â
He laughs a wicked laugh, âSpoiled brats like you are never sorry,â he spits. âYou just don't want to suffer the consequences of your actions.â He curls the fist in your hair tighter, making your scalp stings. You hiss, bringing a hand up from the couch cushion to grab at his wrist and alleviate the pain. You yelp and drop your hand back down when he just tugs harder, pulling your body up to hover parallel to the ground. The hand digging into your hip moves to your mouth, palm covering your lips, the side of his thumb resting right under your nose, the other four fingers curving around the side of your face digging into your cheek. He stops his brutal thrusts, only after shoving himself so far inside that you feel like he's inside your stomach.
Leaning down and pressing his lips right against your ear, his words send a pulsing throb straight to your clit, âI don't want to hear another apology come out of your pathetic mouth. All I want to hear is the pretty pitch of these slutty moans, got it princess?â All you can do is attempt a nod, which seems good enough for him. He nips at your ear lob right before he pulls away and resuming sawing into you. Thank god it's easy for the moans to spill free through his palm, at this angle all words seem to disappear from your brain anyways.Â
He's deceptively strong, being able to hold your body up just by the hold he has on your hair and the press of his hand around your mouth. The tips of your fingers barely graze the arm of the couch as he rolls his hips into you. Your scalp stings, you already know you won't be able to wear extensions for awhile. Youâll have to come up with
an excuse for your stylist, definitely can't let them know you were fucking the producer your father hired.Â
He switches up the angle of his thrusts, making you jerk and clench around his cock particularly harder than you been, âOh fuck. There we go, baby. Keep clenching around this dick like that. Iâll be filling this pussy up in no time.â The moan you let out sounds like it's not being muffled by his hand at all. The tightness in your tummy increased, that familiar feeling of an orgasm approaching at a dire speed. So fast you panic, wiggling to get away because it felt so intense, bordering on painful.Â
âJoong! Joong!â You completely forget his order to stay quiet. He freezes and you could die right then and there.Â
He tuts, âDumb, dumb baby.â Your heart slams in your chest, anxiety spiking at an all time high. What was he going to do? Not let you cum? Drag it out? Make you beg? All of it sounds like torture in this moment, you were so fucking close you wanted to do Hongjoong the honors and just slap yourself for being such an idiot.
He guides you back over the arm of the chair and removes the grip on your hair, but keeps his hand pressed tight against your mouth. âYouâre such a shit listener. I can't really blame you fully though, that's just how you were raised, huh? Getting everything you want, not having to really work for it.â He runs a finger down the length of your spine to the dip in your lower back, dragging in to the side and around your waist to your front where he pinches your clit suddenly. You squeal and kick out your legs as much as you could with how close he was pressed against you. Unsurprisingly it doesn't deter him in the slightest, he keeps his thumb and the knuckle of his index finger in a tight squeeze around the nub.Â
The breathing through your nose gets quicker and quicker, try to take in as much oxygen as you can to calm yourself down. Hongjoong sighs, âThe only way to learn is to show you that if you don't do what youâre asked, you lose something in return.âÂ
Before you can even ponder what he means, your ability to breathe through your nose vanishes. The pressure around your nostrils is what alerts your sex dumb brain that his thumb from the hand still wrapped around your mouth has come up to pinch your nose shut with the edge of his index finger. Instincts kick in and you're shaking your head, trying to rip away the pressure against your face. But he just follows the jerks of your hand, eventually yanking you back by the face until your body is pressed long against him. Hooking his elbow around your shoulder and holding your back tight against his chest.
âYou breathe when I cum,â He states with his lips pushed up against the side of your hair. The pressure of your face increases, wanting so badly to sob but your chest just jerks in small pulses. He keeps his angle, spearing directly into the spot that would make you scream if you could. You squeeze your thighs together tight, lungs burning, not knowing how much longer you have before you lose consciousness.Â
As for Hongjoong, he was seconds away from cumming before he even took your, literal, breath away. He may use extreme methods to whip a brat like you in shape, but he's not cruel.Â
The tightness of your thighs squeezing together, the pulsing of your slick walls around him, bends over with a deep groan, tapering off into a moan, âThat's right, make me cum. Listen for once in your life, câmon princess. This one time, do as youâre told.â He orders you as he rolls your clit lightly between his knuckles. Your eyes slip shut, pushing tears over your water line and down your cheeks. Your chest swells with pleasure and the pressure of losing oxygen. Fuzzy black and gray dots appear behind your eye lids, time starts feeling like it's moving slower.Â
All it takes is a singular clench around his cock and it's over for him. Heâs cumming deep inside you with a deep moan, and winded sounding âFuuuuuck,â. He switches to pressing the pads of his index and middle finger to your clit, rubbing quick swipes along the bundle of nerves as he drops his hand from your mouth to resting lightly on your throat.
Oxygen rushes through your airway, the relief feels almost euphoric as the fluttering in your cunt from the way Hongjoong is playing with you so deliciously.
âPlease,â Your hoarse voice begs. You know he has no reason to let you cum, but you hope that maybe he'll get caught up in the moment and let you anyway.
âHave you learned your lesson?â He asks through his heavy breathing, biting through the over stimulation to feed you small thrusts.Â
âYes, Joong! I promise, Iâm sorry I swear! Iâll listen!â You sob, nodding your head as fast as you could. Fuck youâre too cute. He wasnât going to deny you an orgasm, it was never part of the plan, but your begging is so sweet. You sound genuinely concerned about what he's going to do.Â
âCum then, prove it. Prove that you're a good girl and not the spoiled brat that walked into my studio last week.â The pressure on your clit increases a fraction and the bubble in your tummy pops, warm tingles spreading through your veins. The sound that comes out of you is broken and embarrassing but you don't care. How could you when you feel like you've been revived from the brink of death? By a sexy, broody, music producer no less?Â
The pattern of your breathing syncs up with his, grateful for the hold he has on you so your knees didn't have to kiss the floor.Â
Eventually he speaks, âYou gonna keep your word?âÂ
You scoff and let out a clipped laugh, âI dunno, I might need a reminder of why I should. Your methods are weak.âÂ
He snatches your jaw and turns your head to face him, eyes narrowed and hard. Clicking his tongue against his teeth, he taps your cheek. âPut your skirt back on. I want three more takes of the last two lines of the bridge. Make sure you elongate the last word of each line more, or we do it another three times.â He raises an eyebrow before adding, âAnd if I have to re-teach this lesson there's not a chance in hell Iâm letting you cum.â
hongjoong has a heavy lean towards dominance. but if you can get him under you his whimpers are CRAZY. heâd try it out if you liked it! doesnât take himself too seriously when heâs the one underneath. kinda embarrassed, actually. it might be a little awkward the first few times, but helping him decompress by taking the lead easily becomes something to look forward to. he will put you in your place if he feels youâre overdoing it, though. sorry.
seonghwa is a huge service dom. like heâs finishing just from eating you out. your pleasure to him is what matters most, and heâs gentle even when you ask him to be rougher. probably tries to be strict, but he crumbles so easily when it comes to you. he could lean into submission for sure. he enjoys watching you learn how to pull the strings. itâs just always a mind-blowing experience, no matter whoâs doing what. that mouth on him is too good.
yunho would try submitting just for fun and end up liking it a lot more than expected. you bring it up and heâs like âhaha sureâ. fully expects that heâs gonna have to end up flipping you over. ends up breathless and kinda shy about it. in a âi just discovered something new about myselfâ way. but heâd still prefer to call the shots most of the time. sorry again.
yeosang switch. heâs just overly eager to please. so he can either have you in a tight headlock from behind or be shaking as you deny him. so dynamic. malleable to whatever you want him to be. but he groans just the same no matter what. yum!
san is also a service dom. even in his dirty talk, heâs centering how you feel and what you want. heâd be so down to let you take charge, if you brought it up to him. but youâd have to ease him into it a little. vulnerability is huge for him regarding intimacy. trust is really important too, so that aspect really does it for him. like handing over full control to you is so sentimental that it turns him on. he slips into it so easily afterwards, he begs so pretty. yeah.
mingiâs just easy asf for you. he likes his hands on you as much as he enjoys your hands on him. he just loves having all your attention, regardless of the power dynamic. you could switch ten times in an hour without missing a beat. by the time youâre done, you donât even remember who brought the handcuffs and who wore them or what day it is, really.
wooyoung can take any role from any position, genuinely. heâd try anything at least once and he would not make a big deal out of disliking something new. like oh, well, now you know, and you move on. zero shame. but shove your fingers in his mouth and spit at him, he likes it just because itâs you. heâs probably the most experimental member. so he encourages you to bring all your curiosity to your intimacy. heâll have crazy requests too. everythingâs just so easy and carefree that telling him you wanna try slapping him feels like discussing the weather. âcould i slap you?â is met with a âhow hard?â no further questions asked.
jongho prefers to have control. manhandling you is his favorite thing ever. you MIGHT get a little control if youâre with him for a while. donât expect full on agreement the first few times you bring it up. he might laugh a little, but if you genuinely want to try, heâll reluctantly give in. heâs just a little scared of vulnerability. but he also enjoys it a little more than he expected. will probably not admit it. you need to be really subtle if you try to spontaneously turn the tables. heâs just so focused on you that being submissive to him feels selfish. lots of trust and communication needed.
SYNOPSIS: Song Mingiâs nothing like the boy who bullied you relentlessly in high school. When you meet at a blind group date, youâre a woman on a mission: Take Mingi home and show him youâre nothing like the girl you used to be.
WARNINGS: sub! mingi, size kink, degradation, toys, oral, impact play, unprotected sex, finger sucking (LOL), and riding. bonus: mingi wears a harness :) NSFW, MDNI 18+!
Mingiâs softer. Thatâs the first thing you notice.
Long blond hair frames his face in a way that makes him look almost cherubic. Rosy cheeksâpink lips. Gone is the rugged punk who relentlessly bullied you in high school.
He doesnât recognize you. Thereâs no way he does.
To him, youâre just another beautiful woman on a blind group dateâone who apparently doesnât mind getting caught staring.
You smile when he finally notices. The tips of his ears turn pink, and he flinches, shy beneath your gaze.
"What's your name?"
When Mingi finally works up the courage to ask, he laces his fingers together, eyes lifting just long enough to study your face before they dart back down again.
You answer back softly with your name, every movement calm and effortless. Plucking an olive from your martini, you slip the toothpick between your lips and pull it free with practiced ease.
âIâm Songââ
âMingi,â you finish for him, flashing a toothy grin.
His brows lift. âOh... do you know me?â
Your dark eyes linger on him, impossible to read. A slow smile curls at your lips. âSomething like that.â
You lean forward just enough for the movement to feel intentional. He whips his head to the side, throat bobbing when he stared at the way your tits pushed together for a second too long. You arch a brow before continuing.
âBut Iâll know you even better if you come home with me tonight.â
He chokes on his Sprite, sputtering as the soda sprays across the table.
The guy beside him jerks upright with a curse, eyes bulging as he stares at Mingi.
"Dudeâwhat the fuck?"
Mingi looks seconds away from dying of embarrassment. "...I am so fucking sorry."
The guy just shakes his head, muttering under his breath as he heads for the bathroom.
"Sorry," you say lightly. "Too forward? You can say no."
Mingi's head snaps up. "Oh, God. Please take me home with you."
The words tumble out before he can stop them.
His eyes go wide. A slow, crimson blush spreads across his face as he realizes he'd been a little... too eager. "I meanâ" He squeezes his eyes shut. "Fuck."
You sit in silent victory for a couple of seconds before raising your credit card.
"Check, please?" Handing it over smoothly, you add "And I'm paying for his too."
When you make your way to the taxi with Mingi trailing behind you, you're grateful there's no moon tonight. If he'd gotten a better look at your face, he would've seen the unnerving smile etched across it. There was only one thing you had in mind:
Boys poked and prodded at you with all the contradictions of adolescence. You were either too ugly to acknowledge or someone they wanted to sleep with in secret.
And Song Mingi stood at the forefront of it all.
He never bothered to remember your name. Instead, he'd go out of his way to laugh at you in the middle of class, just to hear everyone else join in. Crumpled balls of notebook paper bounced off the back of your head. Snickers followed you through the hallways. He'd always call you a little freak.
It wasn't just Mingi. Almost every boy in school seemed to have it out for you. You never really understood whyâall you knew was that it was rarely kind.
On the better days, though, Mingi would scratch the back of his head in frustration before quietly leaving a carton of juice on your desk when you were too scared to eat in the lunchroom. One time, he shoved a guy for cornering you in the hallway.
Those moments almost felt like apologies.
Awkward and gangly, just like him. But even then, it never stopped.
When you were younger, you tried to understand him. You really did. During your self-help phase, every audiobook insisted people were more than the worst things they'd ever done. That forgiveness made you the better person.
You wanted to believe that. But you were way too fucking pissed.
From there, your life became the kind of rags-to-riches story people loved to tell. You went to college but still carried that adolescent rage with you. Every man you slept with became an emotional punching bagâa place to dump every humiliation, insult, and wound high school had left behind.
By the time you graduated, you were unrecognizable.
Confidentâa little shameless, even. Years later, you stopped hiding behind your hair. For you, revenge wasn't getting even. It was becoming prettier and successful enough to look down on everyone who'd ever tried to make you feel smallâfrom an empire you'd built with your own two hands.
And then, one day, you met the right kind of man. The kind who begged for your spit and paid you for it.
It was good money. Still is.
And quite franklyâyou can't wait to show Mingi what the years have done to you.
đà§
"You knowâit's funny," you say, gaze drifting up to the ceiling with a soft sigh. The tasseled paddle taps against your palm in a lazy rhythm, like a metronome while you think.
Mingi's a mess beneath you. Spit drips in wet lines down his bobbing throat, pooling in the hollow of his twitching chest. His soft pants try to escape around the gag, strangled and useless.
He'd taken to it more readily than you expected. When you waltzed into your condo earlier that evening, you gave him the rundown fast and sharpâI don't bottom, I call the shots, here's the safewordâand tossed him the harness to see if he'd flinch.
He didn't. Just ran his thumb over the leather and asked if you had something in his size.
The harness you cinched around him earlier does exactly what it's meant toâsqueezes his chest together, keeps him taut and presented. His eyes have rolled back, tears gathering at the edges of his long lashes. Strands of soft platinum blond hair cling to the sweat on his cheek, plastered there like silk against glass.
You press the button. The cock ring underneath his underwear kicks up a notch and Mingi lurches forward, hips jerking, only to be snapped back by the ropes. The restraints bite into his skin and he groans, the sound vibrating against the ball gag.
You smile.
It's enough to cut through the hazeâMingi forces his eyes open, struggling to focus on your face. You lean forward, hands braced on your knees, dropping to his eye level.
"You used to call me a little freak," you say, almost conversational. "All the time in high school."
The words hit him like cold water. It's frighteningly sobering. Mingi jolts, genuine surprise cutting through the pleasure-drunk fog.
"But look what we have here?" You tilt your head, letting the paddle trace a slow line down his sternum. "Song Mingi, the biggest jackass of my entire high school career... turns out to be the dirtiest fucking freak of them all."
His eyes roll back: hips thrusting forward on pure instinct, rutting into empty air, back arching in a sharp curve as another groan tears from his throat.
Your eyes widen, jaw droppingâand then you're laughing, bright and delighted.
"Ha! Did you justâ" You lean closer, delighted. "Did you just have a dry orgasm?"
It's cute. Everything about him is so unbearably cute.
Then, all at once, a sick little epiphany settles over you.
Maybe this is what all those overpriced self-help journals had been trying to tell you all along.
Finding someone to be so pathetic can feel like forgiveness.
And now, he looks so pathetic, you adore the way he looks when he's ashamed.
You reach forward, fingers finding the buckle of the ball gag. It comes loose with a soft click, and you pull it freeâa thin line of saliva trails after it, glistening in the light before you toss it aside. It hits the floor with a wet thud somewhere behind you.
You're still straddling him, knees bracketing his hips. You brace your hands on his chest, feeling the rise and fall beneath your palms, the heat of his skin through the harness.
"So," you say, quiet now. The edge in your voice has softened to something almost gentle. "Tell me, Mingi. You want to stop?"
You've had your fun. If he safeworded right now, walked outâ you'd let him. No strings.
He stares up at you, eyes wide and glassy, tears finally spilling over to track down his temples. His breath hitches.
"N-no." His voice is wrecked, raw from the gag. "Please. Let me stay."
The smile that curves your mouth is genuine this time. "What a good boy."
You lean down, pressing your lips to the sharp line of his jaw, then higherâhis cheek, the corner of his eye. You pepper kisses across his eyelids, tasting salt.
"Still wanna stay and fuck the girl you bullied?"
He sniffles, and the sound is almost laughable coming from someone his sizeâbig, broad-shouldered, built like he could break you in half. But he looks so angelic and soft right now.
"I'm sorry," he whispers. "I liked you."
You go dreadfully still. "The fuck do you mean you liked me?"
Mingi swallows hard, trying to compose himself. He doesn't look at the way your thighs are pressed against his hips, the damp patch on his abdomen where you've been grinding against him.
"I didn't know how to..." He exhales shakily. "I didn't know how to deal with it. Likedâliking when people treated me a certain way."
He pauses, gathering the words like they're heavy stones.
"You probably don't remember this. But the first time we actually met wasn't homeroom."
"Sophomore homeroom, first day." you say automatically.
He shakes his head slowly. "No. Last day of freshman year. You wereâsome guys were messing with you in the hall. You ran into me after, literally ran into me, and you were furious. Called me a piece of shit." He hesitates, throat working. "Spit on me, too."
Your brow furrows. You don'tâ
"And I got hard," he confesses, voice barely audible. "Right there. Couldn't... after that, I couldn't get off to anything else. Couldn't stop thinking about it. About someoneâabout youâdegrading me like that."
He finally meets your eyes, desperate and bare.
"So I started treating you the way I wanted you to treat me. I was shitty to you because I wanted you to be shitty back. I wantedâ" He breaks off, jaw tight.
You stare at him.
"That's..." You sit back, processing. Your hands are still on his chest, but they're lighter now, almost hovering. "That's fucked up, Mingi. That's genuinely atrocious."
You shift your weight, thighs pressing harder against his hips. Your hand finds his jaw, thumb brushing the mark your slap would leave. "Safeword check. Remember what I told you?"
"Kitty." The word comes out rough, immediate. He's still locked in, pupils blown wide.
"What's your red? Your no goes."
"I don't..." He swallows. "Don't like being choked. Or spanked."
"Slapping?"
His breath catches. "Green."
Your hand moves before your brain catches upâpalm cracking across his cheek, snapping his head to the side. The sound is sharp, obscene.
"You liked me?" Your voice drops, dangerous and low. You grip his chin, forcing him to look at you. "You couldn't even fucking recognize me, sick fuck."
"If you really mean it," you say, "then show me."
Your thumbs hook into your underwear, sliding them down your thighs. You step out, kicking them aside, then move over himâknees settling on either side of his head, lowering yourself until you hover just above his mouth. Close enough that he can smell you. Feel your heat.
"Then fucking eat."
Mingi doesn't hesitate. He surges up, mouth finding you with a desperation that makes your breath catchâthick lips closing around your clit, suction immediate and hungry. He drags his tongue upward in one long, flat stroke, pressing firm so he can taste all of you, everywhere, the broad muscle working relentlessly against you.
You're soaked. A thin line of wetness escapes, trickling down to his jaw, pooling in the hollow of his cheek before he swipes it away with another pass of his tongue.
He flicks the tip of his tongue rapidly against your clit. The sensation zips up your spine like current as you roll your hips, pressing down harder, grinding against the bridge of his nose until you feel the bone.
The view from above wrecks you.
Mingi's pupils are blown wide, eyes rolled back to crescents of white, lashes fluttering. The rope has bitten deep into his big arms, the skin there flushing an angry, bitter red. His platinum hair spreads across the wet sheets in tangled strands, darkening where sweat and spit have soaked through.
You have to force yourself to breathe.
Below, his hips piston upward in empty thrusts, rutting against nothing. The thin black jock you gave him strains tight, a dark, spreading patch blooming at the front where he's leaked through the fabric, desperate and untouched.
Finally, you take a closer look. Pausing your grinding almost curiouslyâthoroughly impressed.
"You act like such a fucking pussy," you breathe, rolling your hips down harder. "But you're hung like you could actually break me. Might snap me in half before I get the chance to break you in."
You sink lower, settling your full weight over his mouth and nose. His breath hot against your thigh.
Mingi doesn't panic at the weight of you. He doubles down, mouth working frantically beneath you, lapping and sucking like a man on a mission.
You feel him still beneath youâmuscles tensing, heels digging into the mattress with a groan. Mingi tries to lap at you, almost languidly.
You reach down, fingers sliding under the jock's band, and tug him free. He's hot in your palm, throbbing, and you roll the ring off in one quick motion.
and when he cums, he cums hard.
His head snaps back, a ragged sound tearing from his throat, and he comes in thick ropes that stripe his heaving chest, his trembling stomachâone landing high enough to catch the edge of his parted lips, his flushed cheek.
You don't give him time to recover before your mouth is on him, cleaning off the excess still dribbling down the ridge of his cock.
"Sit up." You instruct.
You shift off him and move to his wrists, unbinding the ropes with practiced efficiency. Mingi flexes his fingers, opening and closing his hands to chase the blood back into them.
"Is this all you wanted?" You arch a brow, voice dropping soft. "Some attention?"
You smooth a strand of hair from his forehead, tuck it behind his ear. Your palm curves along his jaw, thumb dragging across his lower lipâpressing, testing. "Open."
He parts his lips slowly, tongue easing out in offering before flattening, stretching down toward his chin. Submissive. Emptyâwaiting.
"All those years acting out..." You trace his mouth with your eyes. "And this is what you were after."
Your index and middle fingers slide onto his tongue, pressing down against the wet heat of it. He's salivating already, slick gathering against your skin, salt mixing with salt.
His eyes well upâglossy, desperateâand you swear you've never seen anything this pretty. Not when his brows curve down in that perfect blend of pleasure and ache as your fingers prod the back of his throat. Not when his moans vibrate against your palm, when everything is wet: your hand, his lashes, his jaw, rivulets of spit trailing down to pool in the hollows of his collarbones.
"Or is this what you wanted?" You push deeper, feeling him gag softly around your knuckles. "My hand down your throat?"
He sits before you, hands braced on your hips, staring up with something almost puppy-like in its devotion. He nodsâshameless, earnest.
"All I ever wanted." His voice is husky, worn thin with exhaustion and lingering need.
"All that effort," you laugh, "just to be used like a little toy."
You grip his cockâstill slick and firm before giving him a few rough strokes. Then you lift your hips and sink down onto him in one motion, sheathing him completely.
His eyes roll back.
You pause. Five full seconds of mercy, feeling him throb inside you, watching his mouth fall open. Then you begin to moveâslow, intentionally brutal of your hips against his. Your fist reaches to tighten in his hair.
Mingi stutters out a sound, half moan, half embarrassed cry that catches in his throat. "S-shit!"
It burnsâhis girth stretching you wide, delicious and punishing, throbbing like it has its own pulse. Your ass smacks against his thighs with every downward stroke, the skin there flushing red from impact. His whole body shakes beneath you, oversensitive and overwhelmed.
You lean down, tongue tracing the column of his throat, then hover above his mouth.
Your spit falls between you.
Mingi's lips part. His tongue catches it, heavy-lidded and delirious. He swallows slow, forcing his eyes to stay openâlocked on yours, asking without words:Â See? Aren't I good for you?
You spit againâexcept this time, it falls directly between your tits. Mingi licks up your sternum, eyes still locked on yours.
Your hips roll, rise, and fall with fatal precision. Your tits bounce with the force of it.
He's fucking huge. Taking him feels like being pushed to your absolute limitsâevery throb and twitch forces you to accommodate him inch by inch, your body yielding to the sheer weight of him. It's a feat in itself just to fit all of him.
But then something shifts.
Mingi tilts his head back, eyes closed, offering himself up in a silent plea for the kiss he's too scared to ask for.
You answer by catching his bottom lip between your teeth, biting just hard enough to leave indentations before releasing. He sighs into your mouth as you wrap your arms around his neck, pulling him close until your chests flush together. You flinch at the sudden contactâthe leather of his harness, still warm from his skin, brushes against your nipples.
His tongue sweeps against yours, jaw loosening to take you deeper.
âFuck," he breathes, hands sliding to your hips to pull you down against him. Itâs urgentâhot in ways you canât say you expected riding Mingi after years of hating him would be.
"If you cum in me, I'll kill you."
"Mhm. Fuckâ" He hisses against your mouth, breath ragged as he drives you down on him. "Yes ma'am."
His palms spread over your ass, gripping tight and rocking you in a rhythm that has you gliding up and down effortlessly.
He looks over your shoulder and spreads you wider, staring down at where your bodies meet. When he pulls out to watch you gape open, you can't even summon the energy to be annoyedâyou just shove him back down and ride him. Hard.
His hands grip your waist, admiring the way you bounce on his cock, the soft give of your body. He looks at himself, at the white mess coating his shaft. "So fucking creamy."
You grab his face, pinching his cheeks until his mouth puckers, then slap himâsharpâand shove two fingers past his lips, gripping the wet heat of his inner cheek as you slam down on him.
"Shitâyou feel so good," he whines, long blonde hair falling into his eyes. "Wait, I'm cummingâ"
His face goes panicked, puppy-desperate. You smile softly. âMhm. You can cum on my tummy."
You fall back, working your clit to finish yourself off, fighting the urge to pull him deeper and cave to your (covert) need to have him cum inside do you.
His large body shadows yours as he buries his face in your neck with a cry, once you rub the tip of his cock with the palm of your hand.
"Clean it," you manage, barely audible.
Mingi drags his tongue across your hipbone, down the soft curve of your stomach, licking himself off you with something like tired worship. He finds your hand, sucking at your palm, sliding wet kisses between your fingers.
He lies flat then, face buried in your thigh, and spreads you open to taste what's still dripping from you.
Wordlessly, you pull him into your arms and cradle him against your chest.
You brush his hair back from his forehead, cupping his face as your thumb gently wipes the sweat from his temple.
ââŠI really did like you back then,â he mumbles, his face still buried between your breasts.
You let out a quiet hum. âOh? Did you now?â
He groans into your chest. âGod⊠fuck high school. Truly.â
His arms tighten around your waist.
More than anything, he hopes high school Mingi hasnât completely ruined things for the version of him that finally might get the girl.

A/N: Oh well. I will fix this later. Have fun reading. I fuckinâ hate uploading long-ass fiction stories from now on. My phone was lagging as hell. It is my first time too writing more than 10k words. (Edit: Rate it for me so I can see your reactions. I might upload the epilogue.)
The late afternoon sun of October filtered through the tall, leaded-glass windows of the campus library, casting long, dusty beams across the silent study tables. You, Y/N, always claimed this was your favorite time: the golden hour where the dayâs frantic energy settled into a quiet, focused hum. You were hunched over a heavy textbook on microeconomics, coffee long since gone cold, trying to conquer the final, brutal chapter before the midterm.
A familiar, barely perceptible rustle drew your attention. Without looking up, you knew who it was. The quiet boy.
He sat three tables away, always at the same time, in the same spot, nestled behind a towering stack of architecture monographs. He wasnât loud or distracting; in fact, he was the picture of studious invisibility. His name, youâd learned through an orientation roster once, was Jeong Yunho. He had dark, neatly styled hair that fell just over his eyebrows and a profile that was sharp and strangely arresting when he was deep in concentration.
He was a batchmate, an art major, though youâd never spoken. He was just... there.
Youâd started noticing his constant presence about two months ago. If you were in the student center cafeteria at lunch, he was usually seated alone near the windows, sketching in a large pad. If you were taking your regular sunset jog around the perimeter track, youâd sometimes see him walking in the opposite direction, headphones on, head down. And here, in the library, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evening, you could set your watch by his arrival.
âAnother coincidence,â youâd murmur to yourself, giving your brain a little shake to get back to the demand elasticity curve. The campus was small enough, after all.
The next day, you were having lunch with your best friend, Sana, on the sun-drenched lawn outside the humanities building. You were relaying a particularly frustrating story about a group project gone wrong.
â...and then I had to redo the entire presentation slide because Minji used Comic Sans, Comic Sans, Sana!â You took a dramatic bite of your sandwich.
Sana, sipping her iced latte, just grinned. âA true campus crime. But hey, speaking of campus regulars, whoâs that?â
You followed her gaze. Walking across the lawn toward the main gate, precisely intersecting the path of a flurry of late-day students, was Jeong Yunho. He was wearing a simple black hoodie and carrying a slim messenger bag.
âOh, thatâs Yunho. Heâs in my batch, I think. Art major,â you explained casually. âHeâs, like, the quietest person on campus. I see him everywhere.â
âEverywhere?â Sana raised a finely sculpted eyebrow, a hint of playful conspiracy in her voice. âYou see him in the library, right? You said he was the âquiet study table guyâ?"
Sana paused, taking a slower, more deliberate look at the passing figure. Yunho didnât glance toward the lawn or the crowd; his eyes were fixed somewhere on the ground ahead of him, a ghost in motion.
âHuh. He looks⊠determined,â Sana commented. âLike he has a very specific route he always takes. Kind of intense.â
âHe just looks like a guy trying to get off campus,â you chuckled, dismissing the observation. âDonât be weird.â
But as you watched him disappear around the corner, a small, cold droplet of thought landed in your mind. Determined. It was the perfect word. He never seemed to meander. He moved with the focused efficiency of someone whose destinationâand more importantly, whose timingâwas absolute.
A week later, you were walking home after an exhausting late-night study session. It was dark, and the street lamps cast watery halos on the wet pavement. You lived in an off-campus apartment complex about a fifteen-minute walk from the main gate, a route you had memorized by the cracks in the sidewalk.
You were halfway there, scrolling through your phone to play a podcast, when you heard the distinct, soft rhythm of footsteps behind you. They were keeping pace. Not rushing, not lagging, just⊠matching yours.
You immediately silenced your phone and slowed your walk, subtly glancing at a reflective window of a closed convenience store. The figure was perhaps twenty feet back. Tall, wearing a dark jacket, head slightly bowed.
Itâs just a neighbor, you told yourself. Someone else is coming home.
To test the theory, you stopped abruptly to tie your shoe, even though it wasnât loose. The footsteps stopped, too. Immediately. The silence that followed was heavy and prickly. Your heart started a quick, nervous flutter. You straightened up, looking pointedly back, but the person had melted into the shadow cast by a large oak tree. You could only make out a dark silhouette.
Swallowing, you sped up, turning down the final, slightly narrower street toward your building. The footsteps resumed, still maintaining that unnerving distance.
Then, you saw it.
You passed the familiar blue sedan that was always parked under the sickly green streetlamp on the cornerâthe one belonging to your grumpy downstairs neighbor. Tucked behind the sedan, where the light barely reached, you saw a figure leaning against a brick wall, partially concealed by the shadow of the carâs trunk.
As you got closer, your breath hitched. It was Yunho.
He wasnât walking. He wasnât following you. He was just standing there, hands tucked into his pockets, staring at a phone screen that cast a pale blue glow on his face.
âYunho?â You called out, the name sounding foreign and sharp in the night air.
He looked up, and the blue light vanished as he lowered the phone. His eyes, dark and wide, found yours. There was a fraction of a secondâa beat of pure, naked surpriseâbefore his face smoothed into a neutral mask.
âOh. Y/N,â he said, his voice quiet, almost husky. He sounded genuinely caught off guard. âHey. What are you doing out so late?â
The question was so normal it was disorienting.
âI was just⊠coming home from the library,â you said, feeling suddenly foolish and over-dramatic. âWhat are you doing here? You donât live in this complex, do you?â
He gestured vaguely down the street, and in that gesture, he seemed to shift from a suspicious figure into a perfectly innocuous, quiet student.
âRight. Walking,â you repeated, feeling a wave of relief wash over the residual adrenaline. You had let your tired brain jump to conclusions.
âYeah. Good night, Y/N,â he said softly, a low note of warmth in his voice that was utterly new.
âGood night, Yunho.â
You hurried the last fifty feet to your door, fumbling with your keys. But as you unlocked the door, you risked one last glance back. Yunho was no longer standing against the wall. He was walking away, slowly, in the opposite direction of where he claimed to live.
The relief vanished, replaced by that cold, hard knot of suspicion. He was walking away from the direction he claimed to live in.
You slid your door shut, locked the deadbolt, and stood in the dark hallway of your apartment. You saw the quiet boy, the determined walk, the immediate stop behind the tree, and the lie about his address, and a new, chilling pattern began to emerge in the back of your mind. It wasnât a coincidence.
It was an orbit. And you were the center of it.
You shivered, but beneath the fear, a strange, almost electrifying curiosity began to spark. He was a curious cat, you thought, but what exactly was he so curious about? And why did the thought of finding out make your skin prickle with both dread and a darker, more undeniable thrill?
The following days were marked by a subtle, internal shift in your perspective. The world hadnât changed, but the lens through which you viewed it had fractured. Every âcoincidenceâ now seemed charged with a silent, heavy intention.
Yunho was still everywhere, but now that you were looking, his methods felt less like chance and more like painstaking planning.
It was Tuesday, and you were back in your usual library spot. Yunho arrived exactly at 5:15 PM, as always, settling into his architecture corner. You watched him from over the edge of your textbook. He took out his materialsâa sketchbook, a slim laptop, and a particular dark-blue thermos.
You remembered thinking how organized he always was. But today, you noticed something new.
He opened his sketchbook, and immediately, his eyes darted from the page, across the aisle, and fixed directly on you for a fleeting secondânot with the intensity of the night encounter, but with the quick, scanning efficiency of someone checking a clock or confirming a target.
He then lowered his gaze, seemingly engrossed in his work. But you tried an experiment. You deliberately picked up your water bottle and took a slow, noisy sip.
Immediately, you saw the tiny, almost invisible shift in his peripheral vision. He didnât look up, but his hand paused mid-sketch, and his breathing hitched, a minimal but distinct interruption in the silent room. You felt the precise moment he registered your action.
Heâs monitoring me.
Another realization struck you, something so obvious you felt foolish for missing it. The light in your spot was notoriously bad. The light in his spot, tucked away by the shelves, was even worse. Yet, he never moved.
The best-lit table in that whole wing? It was two tables down from you, vacant half the time. He avoided it. Because if he sat there, he would be looking straight at the wall. In his current corner, however, his side profile was perfectly positioned to maintain an unobstructed, but indirect, view of you and your table. His setup was engineered for observation, not optimal lighting.
You leaned back, the textbook forgotten. The pit in your stomach was still there, but it was hardening, morphing into something resembling strategic patience.
Later that week, you met Sana for a quick coffee break between classes. She noticed your preoccupied air immediately.
âYouâre still thinking about the quiet study guy, arenât you?â she asked, stirring her foam.
âAh, the designated night walker,â Sana said dryly. âLook, Y/N, Iâm not saying the guyâs a creep, but you know how protective I am. If someoneâs popping up everywhere, and you get a weird vibe, listen to it. Guys who are too quiet usually have a lot going on upstairs.â
She lowered her voice. âHave you checked his social media? Maybe youâll see if heâs, like, posting motivational quotes about finding his destiny in the university library.â
You shrugged. âI looked once. Heâs completely locked down. No public profile, just a blank profile picture and a private account.â
âSee? Thatâs suspicious.â
But the locked profile didnât worry you; it confirmed your suspicions. It meant he was carefully controlling his visibility. A true âquiet boyâ might just be shy, but a completely invisible online presence combined with a meticulous physical presence suggested deliberate camouflage.
âMaybe he just likes privacy,â you defended him weakly, but it was only to keep Sana from getting truly concerned. You couldnât tell her about the shoe-tying test or the library sightline.
I need to see how close I can get to his sun without getting burned, you thought, a forbidden thrill bubbling up.
The next day, you decided to push the boundary, just a little.
It was your routine to stop at the small campus convenience store every Tuesday and Friday morning to buy a specific brand of sparkling waterâa habit youâd maintained for a year.
That Friday, you walked into the store at 9:05 AM. The store was busy. You moved to the back cooler, grabbed your sparkling water, and headed to the checkout.
There was a short line. Standing three people ahead of you, paying for a handful of energy bars and a large bottle of water, was Jeong Yunho.
He hadnât been there when you walked in.
He was wearing a light-gray crewneck and a baseball cap, pulled low. When he turned to leave, he brushed past you, his shoulder lightly grazing yours.
âOh, excuse me,â he murmured, his voice that low, husky sound you remembered from the night street. He didnât lift his head, just gave a quick, almost panicked nod of apology, and walked swiftly out.
You stepped up to the cashier, your heart hammering, holding the cold bottle in your hand.
âDid you see that guy, maâam?â the cashier, an older woman named Mrs. Lee, asked you with a wry smile. âHeâs always in a rush. Buy the exact same thing every Tuesday and Friday morning, right after the 9 AM lecture gets out.â
You stared at the cashier. Your 9 AM lecture let out at 9:00 AM, and you arrived at the store by 9:05 AM.
âAlways?â you asked, your voice barely a whisper.
âAlways. Like clockwork,â Mrs. Lee confirmed, handing you your receipt.
You stood rooted for a moment. You hadnât been seeing him at the convenience store before. Why was he only there now?
You reviewed your schedule in your head:
Mondays: Economics 101, 8:00 AM.
Tuesdays: Microecon lab, 9:00 AM.
Wednesdays: Campus Work Study (Off-Campus)
Thursdays: Group Project Meeting (Off-Campus)
Fridays: Microecon lab, 9:00 AM.
He had started showing up at the convenience store only on Tuesdays and Fridays, the two days you were consistently on campus at that exact time.
You had thought the stalker was following you. Now you realized he was following your schedule. He wasnât relying on chance; he had acquired and memorized your routine and was inserting himself into it with surgical precision.
The knowledge didnât frighten you into hiding, however. Instead, it lit a fire. You realized that all the pieces of the puzzleâthe sightline in the library, the knowledge of your name, the lie about his route, the sudden insertion into your predictable coffee routineâpointed not to a shy admirer, but to a calculating presence who had invested serious time in learning the architecture of your daily life.
And his panic when you called out his name on the street? It wasnât because he was surprised; it was because he was exposed. He wasnât supposed to be seen; he was supposed to be the ghost in the machine.
You walked out of the store, the sparkling water feeling suddenly heavy and cold. You looked down the street where Yunho had hurried away, and you felt a dangerous kind of resolve.
If he was watching you, observing every detail of your life, then he wanted access. He wanted to close the distance. And you, now fully aware of the extent of his fascination, decided that you would be the one to open the door, just a crack, to see what kind of dirty, nasty intentions were truly hiding behind the quiet boyâs innocent facade.
You gripped the bottle tight and started walking. You had to make a change to your routine, something small and deliberate. Something that would signal to the man in your orbit that the center was ready to shift.
The next step is mine, you thought, a predatory curiosity eclipsing the last vestiges of fear.
The shift in your routine was subtle, almost imperceptible to an outsider, but you knew it would be a flashing beacon to the quiet boy who had mapped your every movement.
Your Friday afternoon route to the library was sacrosanct: from your last class, straight to the central coffee cart for a mocha, then up the grand staircase to the silent wing. Today, you diverted.
Instead of the coffee cart, you stopped by the campus bookstore. Not to buy anything, but to browse the towering, slightly disorganized philosophy sectionâa section you never frequented. You spent ten minutes running your hand along the spines of books on Existentialism and Ethics, projecting an air of deep, thoughtful deliberation.
You knew he wouldnât be here yet. The library rule was 5:15 PM. This maneuver was about creating a brief, verifiable absence from the expected path. It was a digital footprint in his mental map of you.
When you finally entered the library at 4:55 PM, twenty minutes earlier than usual, you didnât go to your usual spot. You chose a table near the main entrance, far away from the quiet wing. You spread out your books, but instead of studying, you checked your phone.
At 5:16 PM, you saw him enter the library.
He moved with his usual measured, focused pace, heading straight for the quiet wing. He was halfway across the main floor when he registered your location.
He froze.
It was only a fraction of a second, but you saw the hitch in his stride and the slight confusion in the way his head tilted, like a compass needle thrown off true north. He was supposed to find you in the back, bathed in the golden, dusty light. Instead, you were here, under the harsh fluorescents, facing the main thoroughfare.
He recovered instantly. Without looking directly at you, he executed a perfect pivot, diverting his path to a shelf near the circulation desk. He pretended to browse the New Arrivals, using the spine of a book to obscure the side of his face. He spent a solid three minutes there, calculating.
His plans are disrupted, you realize, a dark satisfaction blooming in your chest. He needs to recalibrate.
Finally, he walked toward the main staircase, but instead of continuing to the quiet wing, he took a table one row behind you. This was a major tactical error on his partâan immediate, desperate attempt to re-establish the orbit. It meant he sacrificed his carefully constructed indirect sightline for a direct view of the back of your head.
You could feel his presence, a tangible warmth at your back.
You waited ten minutes, allowing him to settle, allowing him to believe he had fixed the problem. Then, you began phase two.
You shifted your body slightly in your chair, turning your back partially to the aisle. You then pulled out your notebook and began drawing a simple, geometric patternâa shape that required frequent, small pauses and head tilts.
And then, you pulled out your earphones, unwrapped the cord with deliberate care, and plugged them into your phone. But you didnât put them in your ears. You let them dangle over your shoulder.
The silence that had previously defined your relationship was shattered. The dangling earphones were an audible crack in the wall of your focused privacy. They were an invitation to speak, a suggestion that you werenât fully sequestered.
You went back to your drawing, maintaining the subtle, rhythmic movements.
It took another ten minutes. You heard the soft, familiar rustle of his backpack as he shifted his weight. Then, a hesitation.
Finally, the low voice arrived, closer than it had ever been.
âExcuse me, Y/N?â
The use of your name, quiet and careful, felt like a caress across the nape of your neck. You slowly turned your head, pulling one of the dangling earbuds up and holding it between your fingers, projecting mild surprise.
âOh, Yunho. Hey,â you said, your voice carefully pitched to sound friendly but slightly preoccupied. âI didnât see you come in.â
He was standing right there. Up close, his dark eyes were even more captivating, and his expression was a perfect blend of shyness and polite urgency.
âI apologize for interrupting you,â he said, gesturing vaguely at your books. âBut I⊠I noticed you studying microeconomics. I have a really stupid question about something, and you look like you have it figured out.â
This was his move. A perfectly reasonable, studious request. The cover story was flawless.
âOh, sure. Which part?â You smiled, a genuine, welcoming smile that was calculated to disarm him entirely.
âItâs about⊠the elasticity of demand, that chapter with the formulas,â he mumbled, taking a half-step closer, his eyes finally meeting yours in an unbroken gaze.
You gestured toward your stack of books. âThatâs exactly what Iâm studying for the midterm next week. Itâs tricky. Want to sit down?â
This was the final piece of the trap. He hadnât asked to sit. He had just asked a quick question. By offering the seat, you were granting the access he had labored for weeks to obtain, but on your terms.
His eyes flickered to the empty chair across from you, then back to your face. The brief moment of surprise was replaced by a visible, slow-burning triumph that he immediately smothered.
âI donât want to bother you, I justââ
âItâs no bother,â you interrupted gently. âI was about to take a break anyway. Come on. I can walk you through the midpoint formula; it saved my life last night.â
You watched him take the final, deliberate step forward, pulling the chair out and sitting down opposite you. He was close enough now that you could smell the faint, clean scent of laundry detergent and a subtle, musky cologne. The quiet boy was suddenly occupying your space.
He leaned forward, and his gaze dropped to your textbook, but not before you caught the quick, assessing sweep of his eyes across your faceâan unspoken acknowledgment of the success of his mission.
âSo, the midpoint formulaâŠâ he began, his voice dropping even lower now that you were sharing a space. He pointed to a section of your notes. His finger was long, pale, and steady.
You spent the next fifteen minutes talking about economics, but the conversation was merely a vehicle. Your brain was entirely focused on the subtext. He listened too intently, his answers too perfect, his âconfusionâ too well-articulated. He wasnât confused about the math; he was confused about you.
âWow, thanks, Y/N. That actually makes sense,â he concluded, closing the borrowed textbook page gently. He didnât immediately move to leave. He lingered.
âYouâre welcome, Yunho,â you replied, feeling the dangerous, beautiful tension hum between you. âI see you here all the time. I figured you were a genius; youâre always so focused.â
His mouth curved into that same small, almost shy half-smile. âI try to be focused. Especially on things that... catch my attention.â
The phrase hung in the air, loaded with a meaning that had nothing to do with calculus or corporate finance. He had thrown his first overt hint.
You met his gaze, holding it steady. You saw the curious cat, yes, but now you saw the razor-sharp teeth underneath the soft fur. The darkness was there, hiding just beneath the polite skin.
âWell,â you said, leaning forward just slightly, mirroring his posture, closing the last little bit of distance. âItâs a huge campus, Yunho. It takes a lot of effort to notice the same thing, in the same spot, every single day.â
You had acknowledged the orbit. You had shown him that you knew.
A flicker of something predatoryâsomething excited and deeply satisfiedâlit up his dark eyes before he masked it completely. He had been caught, and he knew you knew, but he also realized you werenât running.
âThatâs true,â he murmured, his voice now barely audible, a secret whispered across the table. âSometimes the most interesting things are the ones you have to search for... and wait for.â
The conversation was over. The game had started. You had caught him in your web, and now you were waiting to see how far he was willing to crawl.
The moment after you spoke those wordsâacknowledging his persistent, observed presenceâthe energy between you and Yunho transformed. It wasnât the tentative connection between two shy batchmates anymore. It was a wire stretched taut, thrumming with mutual, unspoken recognition.
He stood up, pushing the chair in slowly, his movements deliberate. He didnât offer a flustered denial or a weak excuse. Instead, he gave you a small, careful bow of his headâa gesture of respect, or perhaps, acknowledgment of the new terms of your engagement.
âThank you for the help, Y/N,â he said. The politeness was a thin veneer now, barely concealing the undercurrent of anticipation. âI hope our... encounters will become less coincidental from now on.â
You held his gaze, offering a slight, enigmatic smile. âIâm sure they will, Yunho. Iâm sure they will.â
He walked away, not back to the quiet wing, but toward the exit. He knew his position had been compromised, and he had secured the first key exchange: mutual awareness.
The following week, you made a second, crucial change to your routine.
On Monday, instead of leaving the library at 7:00 PM, you left at 6:30 PM.
You walked the longer, well-lit route home, passing the bustling local market where you often saw people you knew. This was a safety measure, but it was also a performance. You needed to establish a new, slightly earlier timeline for him to track. You hadnât walked three blocks before you felt the familiar shift in the air. He was there, not twenty feet behind you, maintaining the exact, equidistant pace he had on the night you confronted him.
This time, you didnât stop. You didnât pretend to tie your shoe. You simply pulled out your phone and sent a text to Sanaâa mundane, casual message about a professorâand then you deliberately slowed your pace to a leisurely stroll.
The man behind you slowed, too.
You didnât look back until you reached the brightly lit entrance of your apartment complex. As you were about to turn in, you paused and turned around fully, facing the street. Yunho was standing where the shadows began, near a large, blooming bougainvillea bush. He wasnât hiding; he was simply waiting for the inevitable moment when you would look for him.
âYouâre walking earlier tonight,â you stated, your voice calm and level, cutting through the nighttime hum.
He stepped out of the shadow, his hands still in his pockets. He looked completely relaxed, as if he had been merely contemplating the flowers.
âI was finishing up my critique. I like the fresh air this evening,â he replied, giving a slight lift of his chin. His eyes, however, were fixed intently on yours.
âDid you, now?â you murmured, letting the implication hang. âI changed my schedule. You must have thought I was missing.â
His expression didnât change, but his answer was revealing.
âI noticed. When you werenât in your spot at 7:00, I figured you might have taken the earlier train of thought.â
Train of thought. He used your academic language to signal his understanding of your patterns. He wasnât tracking time; he was tracking you.
âWell, you found me,â you said, taking a small step toward the street, decreasing the distance between you by a foot. âThatâs impressive, Yunho. Youâre very observant.â
He walked a step forward, too, meeting your small advance. He was close enough now that the gentle light from the complex entrance defined the sharp lines of his jaw and the intensity of his stare.
âYouâre the one who is hard to miss, Y/N,â he said, his voice dropping to a near-confidential whisper.
It was the darkest, most direct statement he had ever made. It implied that his interest in you was powerful enough to override all his previous caution. You felt a shiver run down your spine, a mingling of fear and sheer excitement. He was admitting his obsession, thinly veiled as a compliment. You didnât smile this time. You adopted a thoughtful, serious expression.
âMaybe. But I think youâre more than just observant, Yunho. I think youâre⊠invested.â
The word âinvestedâ hung between you, a shared secret tossed into the night. It suggested time, effort, and expectation.
He stood perfectly still for a long moment, simply absorbing your acknowledgement. Then, a slow, deep smile finally spread across his faceâa smile that was utterly different from the shy half-grin. This one was assured, almost arrogant, and laced with a profound, almost dangerous excitement. It was the smile of the hunter who had been given permission to approach the trap.
âI am,â he confirmed, his voice rougher now, no longer pretending shyness. âMore than you know.â
He took one more step, and you didnât flinch. You were close enough to reach out and touch him.
âGood,â you breathed, giving him exactly what he wantedâpermission to escalate. âBecause I find myself becoming very invested in finding out why.â
He chuckledâa low, husky sound that was intimate and unsettling. He glanced past you to the entrance of your building, then leaned in slightly, his head tilting toward yours.
âWhy donât we start with something simple?â he suggested, the shift in his tone suggesting an immediate, nasty intention lurking beneath the surface.
âWe both know where you study. We both know your schedule. Tell me, Y/N... Do you ever leave your window open at night?â
The question was a direct, dirty challenge. It stripped away all the pretense of economics and late-night walks, demanding to know the extent of your vulnerability and compliance. He wasnât asking if he could look in; he was asking if you would let him.
You didnât hesitate. You held his eye, your own resolve firm.
âOnly when Iâm expecting company, Yunho.â
The air crackled between you. You had offered the key, and Yunho had snatched it with a speed and intensity that was terrifyingly magnetic. His eyes, usually subdued, now held a deep, liquid heat.
âExpecting company,â he repeated, the phrase savoring on his tongue. The polite student was gone; what stood before you was the curious cat that had finally pounced. âThatâs good to know. I prefer invitations.â
He paused, letting the weight of the last few minutes settle. His gaze swept over your faceâfrom your eyes to your mouthâa slow, deliberate movement that felt more intimate than any touch.
âSo,â he continued, his voice barely a breath. âIf the window is an invitation, what does it mean if you are alone... and the curtain is open?â
The question was another escalation. He wasnât just observing the structure of your life; he had been observing the minute, domestic details of your privacy. He wanted to know how much of the observation was deliberate exposure on your part.
You returned his stare, refusing to yield the power of the moment.
âIt means the view is available,â you replied evenly, matching his low tone. âBut only for someone who knows exactly where to look.â
A genuine, thrilling smile broke across his faceâthe first youâd ever seen, and it was devastatingly attractive. It was the smile of someone who had just won the highest possible reward.
âI know exactly where to look,â he affirmed. He didnât need to elaborate. You knew he did. He knew the layout of your room, the placement of your desk, and the direction the light fell in the mornings.
He finally pulled his hands from his pockets, but he didnât reach for you. Instead, he reached into his messenger bag and pulled out a small, flat object wrapped in tissue paper.
âI didnât expect to have this conversation tonight, but since weâve cleared the air of coincidences,â he said, his voice laced with mocking humor, âI have something for you.â
He held it out. It was a small, perfectly carved wooden charm, smooth and polished, shaped like a miniature house key.
âWhat is this?â you asked, taking it. It was still warm from the confines of his bag.
âA token of my investment,â he explained, his eyes never leaving yours. âA reward for your honesty. And a promise. I made it in the studio this week. I thought you might appreciate something that represents access.â
The implication was clear: I made this for you while thinking about accessing you. It was beautiful, meticulous, and completely unnerving.
You closed your fingers around the tiny wooden key. âThis is a very specific gift, Yunho.â
âYou are a very specific subject,â he corrected, his voice dropping to a near-purr.
âYou kept drawing me in, even when you knew I was watching. Thatâs what I noticed first, Y/Nâthe way you almost always wear that pale blue scarf on Wednesdays, the way you pause exactly three seconds before opening your microecon book, the way your coffee cup is always chipped near the handle.â
He stepped closer, closing the last few inches of distance between you. You could feel the warmth of his body, the intense focus of his entire being trained solely on you.
âI didnât just observe you, Y/N,â he murmured, leaning down so his mouth was just inches from your ear. âI learned from you. Every meticulous, beautiful routine. And I want to learn the messy parts, too.â
His breath ghosted against your skin, and you felt a sudden, sharp intake of breath. The air felt thick, heavy with the weight of all the weeks he had spent in the shadows.
âAnd if I let you?â you whispered, challenging him one final time, confirming your dangerous compliance.
His eyes darkened, and his hand lifted, his thumb brushing lightly across the back of your hand where you held the wooden key. The contact was brief, but it felt like a brand.
âIf you let me,â he promised, his voice low and intensely serious, âyou wonât have to rely on coincidences anymore. Iâll make sure you know exactly when Iâm coming for you.â
He then pulled back, instantly returning to a distance that felt safe to the casual observer, yet agonizingly far to you now. The transition was seamless, a testament to his practiced control.
âGet some rest, Y/N,â he said, the quiet student back in place, but the underlying tone was a command. He knew he had unsettled you, and he wanted you to process it.
He turned and walked away, disappearing into the dark street without a backward glance. He had secured the conversation, the truth, and your explicit acknowledgement. The game was no longer about discovery; it was about surrender.
You stood there, the cool night air hitting your suddenly feverish skin, gripping the wooden key tightly. You didnât rush inside. You stayed until the last trace of his footsteps faded.
He had asked about the window, and you knew, with absolute certainty, that tonight, your curtain would be drawn wide open. You had invited the predator in, not out of foolishness, but out of a fierce, dark desire to confront the danger he represented. You wanted to see what he would do now that he had been given access.
Heâs invested, you thought, looking down at the small wooden key in your hand. But the dirty intentions are a two-way street.
The wooden key stayed tucked deep in your wallet, a cold, hard reminder of the boundary you had willingly dismantled. True to his word, Yunhoâs presence was no longer about stalking; it was about integration.
He initiated conversations with the practiced ease of someone who had rehearsed the scenarios a thousand times in his head. In the weeks leading up to finals, your âcoincidencesâ became scheduled study sessions.
âI know you leave the library at 7:00 PM on Tuesdays,â heâd say, appearing at your table at 6:55 PM, his expression earnest. âBut I saw the syllabus. If you skip chapter 12, we can grab a coffee at the campus center before it closes. I need a third opinion on a design concept.â
He didnât need your opinion; he needed your time. And you gave it to him.
During these talks, he was charming, attentive, and incredibly observant. He asked about your family, your goals, and your fears, processing every piece of information with startling thoroughness. He would reference things youâd casually mentioned days agoâa slight headache, a preference for black tea, a critique of a specific filmâmaking you feel deeply seen and deeply scrutinized.
He never mentioned the observation, the window, or the street encounters. Those remained the core of your shared secret, the hidden language of your dark, escalating intimacy.
Sana, however, was not fooled by the sudden, polite appearances of the once-invisible Yunho.
âHeâs definitely not the quiet boy you described,â she commented one afternoon, watching Yunho walk past your table at the cafeteria, offering you a brief, intense nod that seemed to communicate an entire paragraph.
âHe just opened up,â you countered, trying to sound casual as you rearranged your salad.
âOpened up? Y/N, heâs orbiting you like a newly discovered moon. I barely saw him for two years, and now heâs always within a fifty-foot radius of you, talking about âdesign conceptsâ and âthird opinions.â What kind of architecture student needs a microecon majorâs opinion on design?â
You forced a laugh. âHeâs eclectic, Sana.â
Sana leaned forward, her eyes narrowing. âEclectic, or calculating? You seemed so freaked out by him a few weeks ago, and now youâre suddenly best study buddies. What changed? Did you confront him?â
You kept your gaze steady, protecting your shared secret like a valuable, dangerous stone. âI realized he was just shy. And honestly, heâs a great listener. He remembers everything.â
âThatâs exactly my point,â Sana hissed quietly. âHe remembers everything. Itâs a little intense. Be careful, Y/N. I feel like youâre playing a game, and I donât trust him.â
You nodded, acknowledging her concern, but your mind was already elsewhere. Sheâs right. It is a game. And I like the way he plays.
The final exams were brutal, but the release was electric. You and Sana, along with a few other friends, headed downtown to The Foundry, a club known for its aggressive bass lines and crowded dance floor. You were attempting to navigate the packed space when you felt an insistent, unwelcome pressure on your lower back. A guy, far too old and far too handsy, kept bumping into you, trying to initiate a grinding dance. You tried moving away, but the crowd was too dense.
Feeling a spike of genuine panic and disgust, you pushed your way toward the back fire exit, needing air and escape. You burst out into the alley behind the club. The air was cold, smelling of rain and stale beer. You leaned against the brick wall, taking deep, shaky breaths, trying to get the clammy feeling off your skin.
Before you could gather yourself, the club door swung open again. It was the same man, his face flushed and his eyes gleaming with aggressive interest.
âHey, where are you going? Donât ditch the party,â he slurred, blocking the exit door with his body.
âIâm leaving. My friends are inside,â you said sharply, gripping your phone tighter.
âCome on. Donât be like that. We were having fun,â he insisted, taking a step toward you, his massive frame suddenly making the alley feel claustrophobic.
Panic seized you. Your friends were inside, unable to hear you over the music. You fumbled with your phone, ready to call Sana, but the man was closing the distance too quickly. You had nowhere to go, pinned between the cold brick and his intimidating presence.
âGet away from me,â you warned, your voice trembling.
He smirked, clearly enjoying your distress. âOr what? Whoâs gonna stop me back here?â
Just as his hand reached out to grasp your arm, a voice cut through the silence of the alleyâa voice that was low, calm, and utterly devoid of fear.
âI am.â
You looked up. Standing just at the mouth of the alley, framed by the faint city light, was Jeong Yunho. He was wearing the same dark hoodie he wore on the street, and he looked unnervingly composed. He wasnât rushing; he was simply there.
The man turned, irritated. âWho the hell are you? Get lost, kid.â
Yunho didnât respond to the taunt. He walked toward the man with slow, measured steps, radiating a focused stillness that was more menacing than any loud threat.
âShe asked you to get away from her,â Yunho stated, reaching the man. He wasnât overtly aggressive, but the intense quality of his stareâthe same focused intensity you saw when he was sketching a particularly complex designâwas terrifying.
âLook, buddy, mind your own business,â the man growled, pushing Yunhoâs shoulder dismissively.
That was all the contact Yunho needed.
In a blinding flash of movement that was over before your brain could register it, Yunhoâs hand shot out, not in a punch, but in a precise grip. He used the momentum of the manâs push, pulling the man off balance and twisting his arm back and up toward his shoulder blades.
There was a guttural gasp of pain, and the man was suddenly bent over, his face slammed against the cold brick wall, held immobilized by a single, slender arm twisted behind his back.
Yunhoâs voice, inches from the manâs ear, was deadly quiet. âLet her go. And if I ever see you near her again, I will break more than your arm.â
He held the submission for a few more agonizing seconds, then released the man with a final shove. The man stumbled away, rubbing his shoulder, his drunken aggression replaced by shocked pain and fear. He scrambled toward the street and vanished.
Silence returned to the alley, broken only by your own ragged breathing.
You stared at Yunho, whose chest was barely rising, his stillness immediately restored. He hadnât broken a sweat. He looked like he had simply solved a complicated equation.
He turned to you, his dark eyes sweeping over you, checking for damage.
âAre you alright, Y/N?â His voice was gentle, the earlier cold command gone.
You managed to nod, your heart still pounding a frenetic rhythm against your ribs. âI⊠Iâm fine. Thank you. How did youâI didnât even know you were here.â
He walked toward you slowly. He stopped a few feet away, the light from the exit glinting in his eyes. He didnât touch you, but his presence was overwhelming.
âI knew you would be out tonight,â he admitted calmly, giving up the pretense completely. âWhen I saw you leave, I waited. Iâm an expert at waiting, remember?â
He lowered his voice, his eyes gleaming with the triumph of the predator and the satisfaction of the protector. âI didnât just learn your routines, Y/N. I learned your vulnerabilities. And I will always be there when you need me to step out of the shadows.â
He had protected you, not as a boyfriend or a friend, but as an observer who felt entitled to step in and manage your threats. The dirty, nasty intention was now clear: control. And the protection, while terrifying, was undeniably effective.
You looked at the man who had stalked you, who had mastered your life, and who had just executed a perfect, professional submission hold to save you from danger.
âYou know Judo,â you stated, your voice still shaky.
He offered that dark, unsettling smile. âAmong other things. I told you I was invested. Now,â he said, taking a step toward the club exit. âLetâs get you back inside. You need to tell your friends youâre okay. And then, we need to talk about what you owe me.â
Yunho didnât wait for your reply. He simply held the club door open, his posture signaling that your reprieve was over and the conversation was now mandatory. The contrast between the cold-blooded efficiency he had just displayed and his quiet, attentive demeanor was intoxicatingly confusing.
You followed him inside, your senses heightened. The bass and the flashing lights were overwhelming, but you felt anchored by Yunhoâs presence. You found Sana and your friends near the bar, and a quick explanationââRan into a weird guy outside, Yunho helpedââwas enough to satisfy them, thanks to Yunhoâs immediate, calm confirmation of the story.
Sana shot Yunho with a look of intense, complicated gratitude and lingering suspicion. âThanks, Yunho. Seriously. You have no idea.â
Yunho simply nodded, accepting the gratitude with cool reserve. âIâm glad I was there.â
After a quick, shared drink to settle your nerves, you leaned in to Sana. âI need some air. Iâm going to leave now.â
âIâll walk you out,â Sana insisted.
âNo, Iâm fine. Yunho is going to walk me to the cab stand. He lives this way, anyway,â you lied smoothly, meeting Yunhoâs gaze across the table. His eyes held an amused, possessive triumph at your sudden reliance on him.
You grabbed your jacket. Yunho was already waiting by the door.
The late-night air felt crisp and clean compared to the club. You walked in silence for a few minutes, away from the clamor. The streets were quiet now, just the distant sound of traffic.
âYou didnât live this way the last time we talked about walking,â you finally pointed out, the accusation light, almost teasing.
Yunho slowed his pace, turning his body toward yours. âI donât live anywhere that prevents me from being near you, Y/N,â he said simply. The admission of his devotion to your orbit was now effortless, unashamed. âI told you, Iâm invested.â
âAnd youâre very skilled,â you acknowledged, touching the arm that had just subdued a man twice his size. âJudo?â
âHapkido, mostly. A little bit of Judo. Useful for controlling movement without causing unnecessary harm,â he explained, a flicker of something cold and clinical in his eyes. âYou need control when dealing with unruly subjects.â
You swallowed, absorbing the terrifying implication of the word subjects. You were his subject.
âYou saved me tonight,â you said, forcing yourself to meet his eyes. âYou saved me from a genuinely horrible situation. I owe you.â
He smiled, but this time, it was a slow, calculating smile that sent a shiver down your spine. âOwes are problematic. They imply a debt that needs to be settled quickly. I prefer... arrangement.â
He stopped walking altogether, turning to face you fully under the pale light of a streetlamp.
âI asked you once if you leave your window open,â he reminded you, his voice low and intimate. âYou said, âOnly when Iâm expecting company.â Tonight, I proved I am capable of defending your space, which is a significant part of the vulnerability you revealed to me.â
He reached out, and this time, his touch was concrete. He brushed his knuckles lightly along your jawline, a feather-light contact that felt like a claim.
âThe payment for my intervention tonight is simple,â he continued, his eyes holding yours captive. âI want to be your expected company. I want a proper invitation that is not about microeconomics or fear in an alley.â
He leaned closer, eliminating the space between your faces. âI want you to send me a single text message tomorrow. It will be the location, the time, and the explicit understanding that we are meeting, not because of coincidence, but because you want me to be there.â
âAnd if I send the text?â you asked, your breath catching in your throat.
âThen the path closes,â he confirmed, his gaze heavy with intent. âI stop having to observe the tiny, beautiful details of your life from the shadows, and I start experiencing them with you. And I can show you exactly how nasty my intentions truly are, now that youâve given me permission to approach.â
He stepped back, the warmth instantly receding. He gave you no time to reply, letting the weight of the proposal settle.
âIâll walk you to the cab stand now,â he stated, his voice returning to a neutral, courteous tone, the conversation over. âGood night, Y/N.â
As you walked away, your mind reeled. You had set the trap, but Yunho hadnât just sprung it; he had re-engineered it into a cage for both of you. He had transitioned seamlessly from stalker to protector, using violence to demonstrate the level of dedicationâand controlâhe was willing to exert.
You knew you should walk away, run far from the man who had admitted to mastering your weaknesses. But the thought of that text messageâthe power in sending the single word that would officially dissolve the barrierâwas an irresistible temptation. You had given him the key, and now he was demanding you open the door.
You reached the cab stand. Yunho stood by until you were safely inside the taxi, his figure framed by the streetlights, looking like the perfectly silent, respectable student.
The last thing you saw before the cab pulled away was his eyesâdark, intense, and waiting. Waiting for the text that would finalize the arrangement.
You arrived back at your apartment in a state of suspended reality. The silence inside felt enormous, amplifying the adrenaline that still raced through your veins. You didnât even bother turning on the main lights; the pale glow from the streetlamps outside provided just enough visibility.
You walked straight to the window. The curtain was wide open, exactly as you had left it days agoâan invitation he had confirmed heâd noticed. You looked out into the night, half-expecting to see his shadow, but the street was empty.
You touched your jaw where his knuckles had grazed your skin. The touch had been possessive, not affectionate. It was a brand of ownership.
Sanaâs caution, the fear in the alley, and the cold, calculated look in his eyes when he executed the takedownâall of it screamed danger. But the memory of his protective fervor, the speed with which he had appeared, and the honesty of his final demand outweighed the fear. He was exactly who you suspected: obsessive, dominating, and now, officially sanctioned by your own curiosity.
You took the wooden key charm out of your wallet and placed it on your bedside table. It was time to pay the price of admission.
You sank onto your bed, grabbed your phone, and opened the messaging app. You didnât have his number memorized, but he had given you his contact information early in your âstudy sessions.â His name simply appeared as Yunho in your contacts.
You started typing, then deleted it. Coffee shop at 2? Too casual. My place tonight? Too forward.
He hadnât asked for a date. He had asked for coordinates and explicit understanding.
You settled on a simple, unambiguous message. You chose a place known for its seclusion on campus groundsâthe small, rarely used gazebo nestled deep in the botanical gardensâand a time when the campus would be mostly deserted.
To: Yunho
Botanical Gardens Gazebo. Monday, 7:30 PM. I want to see you.
You stared at the message for a full minute, your thumb hovering over the âsendâ button. By sending this, you were crossing the line from being an observed subject to an active participant in his dark fantasy. You were inviting the wolf into the house.
You pressed send.
The phone immediately vibrated in your hand. He replied instantly. He was waiting.
From: Yunho
Perfect. Iâll be waiting for you to walk into my sightline.
The next day passed in a blur of nervous anticipation. You ignored Sanaâs texts and spent the day trying to focus on assignments, but every thought circled back to the gazebo.
At 7:00 PM on Monday, you walked the familiar route toward the botanical gardens. The main campus was quiet, the usual throngs of students replaced by the sound of crickets and the rustle of leaves.
The path to the gazebo was winding and obscured by thick hedges. As you rounded the last corner, the small structure came into view. It was empty, bathed in the faint, yellowish glow of a distant ornamental lamppost.
You stopped at the entrance of the gazebo, your heart thumping against your ribs.
âYunho?â you called out softly.
The answer didnât come from the gazebo. It came from behind you.
âYouâre thirty seconds late,â his voice drawled, quiet and amused.
You spun around. He was leaning against the trunk of a large oak tree fifty feet back along the path, perfectly concealed in the shadow, just as he had been that night by your apartment. He hadnât been waiting in the gazebo; he had been watching you walk to the gazebo.
He walked toward you now, emerging from the dark, looking utterly dominant in a simple black t-shirt and dark jeans. There was no trace of the shy student left.
âI knew youâd come,â he said, stopping directly in front of you. The air around him felt charged with intensity.
âI kept my end of the arrangement,â you replied, trying to keep your voice steady. âNow, show me why you were so invested in my routine.â
He didnât speak. He lifted his hand and reached past your shoulder, his fingers brushing the fabric of your jacket. You instinctively held your breath, expecting a kiss, a touch, or a forceful claim. Instead, he smoothly reached into the pocket of your jacket. He withdrew the small, wooden key charm.
âYou brought the key,â he noted, his voice husky. âThatâs a good sign. It means you understand what this is about.â
He held the key up, his eyes fixed on yours. âItâs not just about me watching you, Y/N. Itâs about you letting me. Itâs about the fact that you changed your routine, you noticed me noticing you, and instead of running, you gave me a seat at your table.â
He tossed the key lightly into the air and caught it. âMy dirty intention is this: I want all the control that comes with knowing you the way I do. I want to be the one who decides when your schedule changes. I want to be the one who eliminates any threat that tries to interrupt your focus.â
He took a step closer, crowding your space. âI want to be your obsession, the way you have been mine.â
He reached out and gently pushed a strand of hair back from your face, his touch agonizingly slow. âI know youâre curious, or you wouldnât have come. You want to know how far Iâll go.â
He leaned in, his lips hovering an inch from yours, and the words he spoke were a direct, filthy challenge.
âOpen your eyes wide, Y/N. Look at me. I want to take you right here, in the place where nobody would ever think to look for the quiet architecture student and the brilliant economics major. I want you to feel what itâs like to be utterly exposed to the man who knows your life better than you do.â
You felt the darkness of his intent wash over you, a tidal wave of control and desire. He had waited for this moment, not for a moment of shared romance, but for a moment of complete, unvarnished surrender to his obsession.
You didnât back down. You didnât flinch. You met his hungry gaze and gave him the final, explicit understanding he needed.
âShow me, Yunho,â you whispered, the command dissolving the last barrier between you. âShow me everything.â
Yunhoâs triumphant smile widened, sharp and undeniable. He didnât waste another moment in the garden. He knew the terms had shifted; the public flirtation was over.
âThe gazebo is amateur hour,â he said, his voice husky, filled with a sudden, rough impatience. âYou deserve privacy for this. Complete focus. I didnât spend weeks mastering your life just to fumble it under an ornamental lamp.â
He took your hand, pulling you out of the gazebo and back down the winding path. His grip was firm, radiating the coiled energy of a man in absolute control.
âWhere are we going?â you asked, your voice catching slightly as you tried to keep pace.
âMy car,â he stated simply. âItâs parked off-campus, where it can observe your apartment building without attracting notice.â
He led you through the dark, quiet walkways, his familiarity with the hidden campus perimeter uncanny. You didnât doubt for a second that he knew every shadow, every blind spot, and every exit route.
A few minutes later, you were off the main university property, walking down a narrow side street lined with service vehicles. He stopped by a matte black sedanâunmarked, clean, and blending perfectly into the nighttime urban landscape. It wasnât a flashy car; it was a ghost.
He opened the passenger door, his gaze demanding immediate entry. You slid inside. The interior was pristine, organized, and smelled faintly of leather and something cleanâlike ozone after a storm.
Yunho slipped into the driverâs seat. He didnât start the engine. He simply turned his head to look at you, his eyes reflecting the dashboard lights, burning with suppressed intensity.
âYour place,â he stated. âIâve been mapping it for weeks. Now I get to enter it with permission.â
He started the car, and the drive was silent, punctuated only by the low purr of the engine. He drove with focused precision, navigating the familiar route to your complex. Every turn, every light, was a path he had traveled dozens of times in your wake.
He pulled the car into a space across the street from your building, right where the light was dimmestâthe same tactical positioning he always favored. He killed the engine, and the sudden silence was profound.
âWeâre here,â you whispered.
âI know the code to the main door, and I know your unit number,â he informed you, his voice low and flat. âI know you prefer the deadbolt locked, but you often forget the chain. I know exactly how many steps it takes to get from your front door to your bedroom.â
The detailed knowledge, delivered in the quiet confines of the car, was thrillingly invasive.
He turned off the overhead interior light, plunging the cabin into deeper shadow. He reached across the console, his hand finding the back of your neck. His fingers tangled in your hair, and he gently, firmly, pulled your head toward his.
âThis is the messy part, Y/N,â he murmured against your mouth. âThis isnât about observation anymore. This is about control.â
His kiss was everything you expected: demanding, deep, and utterly possessive. It wasnât soft; it was the kiss of a man claiming territory he had painstakingly surveyed. He tasted like cold night air and the sharp focus of his obsession.
He broke the kiss and opened your door. âWalk with me,â he commanded, his eyes blazing.
You obeyed.
The short walk across the street and into the building felt like a ceremonial procession. Yunho walked with the easy confidence of someone entirely familiar with the space. He quickly entered the door code and held the main entrance open for you.
You led him up the stairs, your hands shaking slightly as you unlocked your apartment door. You stepped aside, ushering the ghost from your routine into the heart of your privacy.
He entered your home without hesitation. His eyes swept across the living roomâthe couch you always sat on, the desk where you studiedânot with curiosity, but with the confirming satisfaction of matching a map to the territory.
âThe bedroom,â he stated.
You led him to the door. As you reached for the knob, his hand landed heavily on your lower back, a silent, powerful assertion of his lead. He twisted the knob and pushed the door open.
In the dim light filtering from the street, the room was exactly as you had left itâand exactly as he had undoubtedly imagined it. Your desk, the open curtain, the unmade bed.
He closed the door behind him, the finality of the latch clicking into place shattering the tense quiet. He didnât rush. He pinned you against the door, his large frame entirely blocking the light. His hands framed your head on the wood, the quiet reverence he had once maintained shattered by the hungry look in his eyes.
âI knew the exact moment you were tired, the exact moment you were frustrated, the exact moment you were alone,â he whispered, his voice vibrating with the intensity of his long-held anticipation. âNow I get to know every single moment you spend in this room.â
He lowered his head, and the careful control he had maintained for weeks finally dissolved into the dirty, consuming passion you had sought to unearth. There were no more words of politeness, no more excuses of coincidence. Just the relentless, demanding force of the man who had finally seized his obsession.
He was here because you invited him, and he was taking control as his price.
The moment his control was absolute, you felt a strange, thrilling surge of power. You hadnât surrendered out of weakness; you had invited him to a confrontation, and you intended to win the psychological war. As his hands framed your head against the cool wood of the door, his eyes dark with unleashed desire, you let a slow, utterly amused smile spread across your face.
âYouâre finally here,â you murmured, your voice low and laced with genuine, reckless amusement.
You reached up, your fingers tangling into the soft, dark hair at his nape, reversing the pressure just slightly. His breath hitched, momentarily stunned by your immediate pivot from receptive to assertive. He was accustomed to total dominance, but you were reminding him that you were an active participantâthe prize that had willingly walked into his trap.
âDid you map out this moment, too, Yunho?â you challenged, your voice breathless. âDid you sketch out the exact expression you wanted to see on my face when you finally stopped pretending?â
His initial shock faded, replaced by an even darker, more appreciative fire in his eyes. He recognized the challenge, and it only intensified his focus.
âEvery line,â he confirmed, his voice rough. âBut your defiance is a better detail than I could have drawn.â
You laughedâa short, sharp burst of sound that was full of mockery and satisfaction. It was the sound of someone whose biggest suspicion had just been confirmed and who was delighted by the chaos.
You tilted your head back, maintaining eye contact, and delivered the observation that dissolved the last shred of his âquiet boyâ facade.
âTell me, Yunho,â you drawled, dragging his full name out slowly. âHow can someone like you be so obsessed with me? A tall, handsome, pretty boy who is being a dirty, big, nasty stalker of mine, huh?â
The accusation, delivered with such intoxicating amusement, hit him like a physical blow. The wordsâdirty, big, nasty stalkerâwere the explicit acknowledgment of his secret life, and hearing them from your mouth, laced with desire instead of terror, was clearly a profound trigger.
He didnât answer with words. He answered with action.
His hands moved from the door to your hips, gripping you with a possessiveness that left no doubt of his intentions. He used his strength to lift you slightly, pressing your body completely against his, eliminating the last bit of physical space.
âYou think this is just about observation?â he demanded, his voice husky. âItâs about collecting. You are the most beautiful, intricate pattern I have ever encountered, and I wanted to own every single piece of information.â
He captured your mouth again, the kiss now frantic, fueled by the intoxicating mix of your surrender and your challenge.
He drove you back across the room, the distance between the door and the bed melting away in a consuming blur. He didnât lift you onto the bed; he brought you down onto the mattress, his body a heavy, solid weight immediately claiming the space above you.
âYou laughed at me,â he murmured, breaking the kiss just enough to look at the amusement still flickering in your eyes. âYou find me funny, Y/N?â
âI find you fascinating,â you corrected, your fingers tracing the sharp, cold lines of his jaw. âAnd I find this control you keep talking about very⊠interesting, educational.â
He let out a low, predatory soundâa mixture of a growl and a gaspâthat demonstrated the precise effect your dominance was having on him. It was clear that this unexpected assertiveness was elevating his obsession.
âThen let me educate you on the true meaning of control,â he countered, his eyes dark with the promise of fulfilling every nasty intention he had held in the shadows. âYou gave me access. You opened the door. Now, youâre mine to study, right here, in the one space I was forbidden to enter.â
He leaned down, burying his face against your neck, his lips finding a sensitive spot. âI told you I was invested. And the greatest investment deserves the longest, most careful study.â
He was staking his claim, finally transitioning from the quiet observer outside your window to the dark, possessive force inside your most private space, confirming the messy, beautiful reality of the relationship you had both secretly craved.
The game of shadows and secrets was officially over, replaced by the raw, demanding reality of their shared space. Yunho was no longer relying on carefully chosen words; his language was as direct and intimate as his actions.
He shifted his weight, pulling back just enough to look down at you, his eyes intensely focused, yet softened by the consuming heat of the moment.
âIâve been trying to imagine what this room looked like at night,â he confessed, his voice dropping to a low, gravelly rasp. He reached out and ran the back of his hand along the curve of your hip, a simple gesture that felt like a thorough exploration.
âBut honestly, the reality is much better. Knowing Iâm finally in here, where I know you spend all your private timeâŠâ
You felt a deep flush rise to your skin, the intimacy of his knowledge amplifying the thrill.
âAnd what else did you imagine about me when I was in this room, Yunho?â you pressed, enjoying the power of making him articulate the details of his long-held obsession.
He leaned down, his lips brushing the shell of your ear. âThe worst kind of things,â he admitted, his breath warm and uneven. âI kept thinking about how you look when youâre completely relaxed. I knew you always showered after your evening library sessions. I used to imagine you walking from the bathroom, damp and warm.â
He nipped gently at your earlobe, sending a jolt down your body. âI wanted to be here to see it. And now I am. I want to know exactly how you feel when the brilliant, focused economics major finally lets everything go.â
You arched into his touch, the honesty of his desire compelling. âAnd what if I told you I imagined you, too?â
âDid you?â he asked, a triumphant sound in his voice. He reached down and smoothed the fabric of your jeans over your thigh, a possessive, claiming action.
âDid you imagine the quiet boy from the library being this nasty? Did you think about me waiting for you, thinking about getting my hands on you like this every single time I saw you walking down the street?â
âEvery time,â you confessed, letting out a shaky breath. âIt got harder to study knowing the gorgeous, dark-eyed boy who saw all my secrets was just sitting a few tables away, wanting to take me apart.â
He laughed, a rich, satisfied sound. âGood. Because Iâm done being quiet. And Iâm going to make sure that the next time you see me at the library, all you can think about is me being on top of you, right here.â
He moved his hands deliberately, undoing the button of your jeans with slow, painstaking concentration, watching your face as he did it.
âYouâre going to be wrecked tomorrow morning,â he promised, his voice low and firm. âAnd every time you walk past my corner in the library, you're going to remember exactly how I made you feelâright down to the last, messy little detail.â
The shift was swift and decisive. Yunho moved with the practiced, confident efficiency of someone who had planned this exact sequence for weeks. His movements were precise, lacking any fumbling uncertaintyâthe hallmark of the meticulous observer.
He slid his hands down, one supporting the curve of your thigh, the other gliding to the center of your heat. His long, steady fingers found the delicate, swollen center of your desire, applying an immediate, focused pressure. He began to stroke, slow and deliberate, treating the action with the gravity of a complex ritual.
Your breath hitched, the sudden, sharp sensation slicing through the heady tension.
His eyes never left yours, his gaze heavy with triumph as he felt the immediate, physical proof of your desire. He watched the slight twitch in your jaw and the widening of your eyes, documenting every reaction.
He started to gather the moisture that was quickly surfacing, circling the slickness with a demanding rhythm.
âYou love it when I touch you like this, donât you?â he breathed, the question not a query but a statement of absolute knowledge, confirming his ability to pinpoint your core vulnerability.
âIâŠâ You struggled to form a coherent thought, the sensation too intense to allow for a witty retort. You could only manage a hoarse whisper, driven by pure instinct. âI want your tongue inside me.â
The command, raw and primal, struck him exactly right. The confident smirk returned, darkening with a potent satisfaction. He had driven you past the point of intellectual sparring and into the realm of base need.
âA simple request,â he murmured, his voice laced with amusement. âAnd I always fulfill your requests, now that they are mine to grant.â
He lowered his body, kneeling between your legs on the mattress. The position put you completely in command of his head, your fingers already reaching instinctively for his dark hair. He didnât immediately plunge in. He held the focused rhythm on your center, gathering the last slick trails of moisture onto his fingers. He brought them to his mouth, tasting the proof of your arousal, his eyes locked on yours.
Then, with a final, deliberate movement that seemed to commit every ounce of his focused energy, he lowered his head.
The flat, warm expanse of his tongue grazed the delicate, eager skin, a shock of heat and texture that shattered the remaining control you possessed. He tasted you thoroughly, mapping the terrain he had only observed from a distance. You convulsed, your back arching off the mattress. Your hands instinctively buried themselves in his hair, gripping the thick strands as a desperate anchor against the storm.
âFuck, Yunho,â you choked out, the admission a desperate plea. âI need you so bad.â
The sound of your desperate plea and the feel of your hands tight in his hair were the ultimate affirmation of his control. Yunho devoured the need in your voice, letting the intensity of the moment wash over him.
He deepened the contact, the meticulous study shifting into a consuming worship. He used his tongue and lips with an expert precision that suggested not only talent but also thorough, long-term fantasy planning. Every shift in pressure, every exploration of your inner heat, felt calibrated to dismantle the last vestiges of your composure.
You were no longer the calculated challenger; you were the subject fully immersed in the experience he had meticulously designed. You could only make choked sounds of pleasure, your fingers clenching and unclenching in his hair, pulling slightly to convey the urgency of your mounting climax.
He paused his rhythmic focus, his breath hot against your sensitized skin. He lifted his head just slightly, forcing you to acknowledge the power he held.
âYouâre unraveling,â he noted, his voice thick with satisfied desire. âThe routine is broken. Thatâs what I wanted to see.â
He didnât wait for a response, plunging back down with renewed intensity. He applied a sustained, demanding pressure to the most sensitive point, pushing you further and faster toward the edge. You cried out, the sound swallowed by the pillow beneath your head, your hips bucking up against his face in an instinctual, desperate surrender. The feeling was a blinding rush, a total, beautiful collapse of all your careful boundaries.
As the aftershocks faded, you lay panting, utterly boneless, the reality of the quiet boy who had just brought you to the brink overwhelming your senses. Yunho lifted himself, his expression dark and possessive, a smear of your heat shining on his lower lip. He leaned in, his gaze burning with triumph.
âYou look beautiful when your control breaks. You look beautiful when youâre like this,â he murmured, his voice thick with the evidence of his dirty intention fulfilled.
He pushed himself up, climbing over you onto the bed, his body solid and heavy. He was breathing hard, the exertion showing in the sharp angles of his collarbones and the slight sheen of sweat on his forehead.
âThat,â he stated, pinning your wrists gently to the pillow above your head, âwas for the quiet boy who had to wait. Now, letâs see what the dirty, nasty stalker does.â
He didnât need to be asked twice. The sight of your flushed, desperate face was all the permission he required. With swift, economical movementsâthe same efficiency he used for a takedown or a complex drawingâYunho stripped away his remaining clothes. The sight of his body, tall and lean and utterly dominant, was staggering.
He was back over you in an instant, positioning his weight with familiar, controlled precision. The final piece of his arsenal was revealed: long, thick, and perfectly rigid. He positioned himself at your core, his tip resting right in the messy, slick center of your arousalâthe prize he had just collected.
He paused there, savoring the final, electric moment of anticipation. He looked directly into your eyes, his gaze heavy and possessive, his voice a low, demanding tease.
âCan you take me, my love?â he challenged, the pet name slipping out with natural, alarming ease, heavy with ownership. He pressed his weight slightly, testing your readiness. âLooks like you need to get prepped againââ
The suggestion of delay was unbearable, a final, cruel flourish of his control. You bucked your hips up against his, desperate to close the final, agonizing distance.
âNo! No, please. I need you now!â The plea was ragged, raw, stripped of all artifice, giving him the ultimate confirmation of his power over you.
A powerful, conquering grin flashed across his face. He had won.
With a final, deep surge, Yunho drove himself into you, a sudden, powerful invasion that completely filled the space he had spent weeks observing and coveting. You cried out, a mixture of shock and sheer, overwhelming relief. He was solid, hot, and utterly consuming, the perfect counterpoint to the hollow anticipation of the last few weeks.
He paused, resting on his elbows, buried deep inside you. He didnât move immediately, instead letting the heavy, beautiful weight of the moment settle, his dark eyes fixed entirely on yours.
âThere,â he breathed, his voice thick with triumph, staring into your soul. âNow you know exactly what I was waiting for.â
The sheer physical sensation of him finally inside you was staggering, replacing the months of intense, calculated observation with a primal, undeniable connection. He was still, savoring the feeling of being completely interlocked, but you seized the moment, reclaiming the psychological edge you briefly lost.
You wrapped your legs tightly around his waist, anchoring him to you, and looked up at him through heavy eyelids, a slow, deep smile spreading across your faceâa smile of profound, satisfied command.
âMmm, good boy,â you purred, the term âboyâ deliberately diminishing the fierce, controlled man above you, a delicious final piece of mockery. You raked your fingernails lightly down the tense, sweating muscle of his back.
âYouâre a very patient boy for me. IâI am going to giveâhah⊠a reward for you.â
The heavy sound of your pleasure and the unexpected praise made his eyesâalready dark with passionâwiden with an intense mixture of shock and arousal. He shifted slightly, the deep friction bringing a guttural groan from his chest.
âYeah?â he managed, his voice strained with anticipation, his eyes searching yours for the nature of the prize. âWhat is it?â
You chuckled, a low, breathy sound that vibrated deep in your chest. You lifted your hips slightly, initiating the first, slow, claiming grind.
âCreampie,â you whispered, letting the word hang in the air, thick and filthy. âMilk me dry, Yunho. Thatâs my reward for being a good boy.â
The effect was instantaneous and electrifying. His breath hitched completely. His eyes widened further, snapping open in genuine, unfiltered excitementâa raw, exposed emotion that was more intimate than any of his confessions. The methodical predator was suddenly replaced by a deeply aroused man whose dark, nasty desires were being not just accepted but actively escalated.
He remained completely still for a moment, absorbing the magnitude of the proposition.
âAâare you on pills?â he asked, the question laced with a sudden, sharp, almost frantic concern for your safety, the methodical planner briefly overriding the demanding lover.
The flicker of care, the immediate return to planning, was endearing and utterly compelling.
âOf course, I am,â you confirmed, giving a firm squeeze with your inner thighs. âI didnât invite my stalker into my house without prepping the house first, Yunho.â
The relief that washed over his features was palpable, quickly morphing back into profound, conquering excitement. He ducked his head, his forehead resting against yours, his breath heavy and uneven.
âFuck. Oâokay,â he agreed, the hesitation gone, replaced by a demanding, fervent energy.
The permission given, he finally unleashed the intensity he had been holding back. He pulled your legs higher onto his shoulders, tilting your pelvis up into a position of absolute submission and optimal access. The deep, heavy connection intensified immediately.
He began to move, slow at first, then building a steady, powerful rhythm. His strokes were deep, deliberate, and relentless, penetrating you with the same thoroughness he used to analyze your schedule. He moved like a man making up for lost time, his hands gripping your hips with fierce, demanding possession, dictating every angle, every thrust.
He leaned down, his mouth finding your neck, his teeth gently scraping your skin, a gesture of absolute claiming.
âYou really are the most beautiful, most unpredictable person,â he confessed, the praise wrapped in the language of his obsession. âYou just handed me the final, dirtiest secret. And Iâm going to make sure this reward is one youâll never forget.â
The promise fueled his movements. He drove into you with increasing speed and depth, chasing the climax he had earned with weeks of patience. You could only grip his shoulders, lost in the overwhelming surge of pleasure, fully immersed in the messy, intoxicating reality of being utterly possessed by the boy who had once only watched you from the shadows.
The initial surge of climax barely registered before Yunho was pulling back slightly, shifting his hips, and driving back into you with a consuming, demanding intensity. The energy in the room had transitioned from the thrill of transgression into a sustained, heavy rhythm of pure physical claim.
He was relentless, his movements deep and perfectly suited to the contours of your body, as if he had physically mapped this friction during his weeks of observation. The bed beneath you began to creak slightly, protesting the violent, passionate urgency of his possession.
Your breathing was ragged, mingling with his deep, strained groans. Sweat beaded on his temples and the taut lines of his shoulders, wetting the skin beneath his dark hair. You were both slick, glistening in the faint light filtering from the streetâa beautiful, messy testament to the breakdown of their previous barriers.
He pulled back his head, staring down at you, his eyes blazing with an intoxicating mix of exertion and ownership.
âI told you I was invested,â he reminded you, his voice low and vibrating with effort. âAnd I donât believe in half-measures. I waited so long for this access, Y/N. Iâm going to make sure every nerve ending knows it was worth the patience.â
He drove into you again, the impact forceful and consuming. You cried out, clutching his back, your fingers digging into the muscle. He leaned down, whispering promises that cemented his dirty intentions, his voice rough with absolute desire.
âIâm gonna milk you dry, Y/N,â he promised, the words a raw, possessive threat. He increased the speed, pushing you past exhaustion into pure, frantic sensation. âIâll make sure you wonât walk properly tomorrow. It will be better if I have you in my arms all day. My dick inside you all day.â
The fantasy was the ultimate act of control: reducing your physical autonomy to ensure your absolute dependence on him. The possessiveness was overwhelming, but in the heat of the moment, it was exactly what your reckless curiosity had craved.
The thought of being unable to walk, of being forced into his care, sent another wave of intense pleasure through you. You answered his threat with a desperate, guttural sound of affirmation, urging him faster, deeper.
He groaned, finally relinquishing the last vestiges of his control, driven entirely by the reward you promised. His pace became a feverish sprint, the sounds of your bodies colliding filling the small room, the scent of sweat and sex thick in the air.
He drove in one last, profound thrust, his body tightening, and with a final, ragged shoutâa sound of triumph and releaseâhe flooded you completely, fulfilling the reward you had promised your good boy, pouring the heavy, hot evidence of his absolute claim deep inside you.
He collapsed onto your chest, heavy and breathing hard, his body drenched, his presence a warm, immovable weight. The creampie was complete.
The silence that followed was profound, broken only by the sound of your shared, labored breathing. He lifted his head one last time, his dark eyes looking down at your face, now softened by exhaustion and pleasure.
âMy love,â he whispered, the possessive term ringing with finality. âThis is just the first unscheduled study session.â
Yunho remained heavy on your chest, his presence a comforting, possessive anchor in the post-climax exhaustion. The air in the room was thick and humid, saturated with the evidence of their chaotic, intense coupling.
You ran your fingers through his damp hair, tracing the sharp angle of his jaw, the reality of the last few hours finally sinking in. The library ghost was a ferocious, demanding presence in your bed.
You nudged his shoulder gently. âFuck study session,â you murmured, the exhaustion lending a rough edge to your voice. âYouâre coming here for me, nothing else.â
He lifted his head, his dark eyes still hazy with lingering pleasure, but snapping back to awareness quickly. He didnât deny the hunger but he did appreciate your blunt clarity.
âMm,â he hummed, a low, satisfied sound that vibrated against your collarbone. âStraightforward, I see. You still refuse to give me any soft edges, even when youâre completely destroyed.â
He propped himself up on his elbow, looking down at you, his gaze just as intense and consuming as it was when he was watching you from across the library. He reached up, his thumb tenderly wiping a damp strand of hair from your forehead.
âYouâre right, of course,â he admitted, his voice quiet, almost intimate. âThe economics and the architecture are just camouflage. I was coming here for you. The study sessions were just the required pre-requisite for this final assignment.â
He lowered his head, pressing a lingering, possessive kiss to your lips. âAnd now that I have the key, and youâve given me the code, I think we can dispense with the long walks home and the careful placement of shadows. Donât you agree, Y/N?â
He didnât wait for an answer. He settled down, shifting his heavy, tired body until he was spooning you tightly, one arm thrown possessively across your stomach, his breath warm and slow against the back of your neck. He pulled the sheets higher, cocooning you both in the damp warmth.
âYou know, you could have just introduced yourself in the cafeteria,â you whispered, a final, lazy challenge escaping your lips.
He chuckledâa low, satisfied sound that rumpled your hair. âAnd risk being just another batchmate? Whereâs the fun in that? I needed to know your patterns first. I needed to know exactly how I could dismantle your control.â
He paused, pressing a light kiss to the sensitive skin behind your ear. âBesides, if Iâd just said hello, I wouldnât have gotten to hear you call me a âdirty, nasty stalkerâ while I was inside you. That was the perfect reward.â
You didnât argue. You were too tired, too sated, and too consumed by the exhilarating, terrifying reality of your current situation. You closed your eyes, trusting the man who had meticulously tracked your life to keep you safe through the night. The last thought before sleep claimed you was the cold, hard certainty that your routine was permanently altered. There would be no more quiet study sessions, no more âcoincidences,â only the new, demanding presence of Jeong Yunho, the patient collector who had finally claimed his prize.
Iâve been an ATINY for a year, and almost I forgot about how long Iâve been in this fandom because Iâve heard and known about ATEEZ a lot ever since 2018. Throughout the years, I only know Jongho among them and that blue-haired three apples tall (Hongjoong). Then I stanned them when Seonghwa and Yunho promoted Lemon Drop on Xiuminâs show. I really admired Seonghwa from the first time I saw him on Xiuminâs show up until now. I was intrigued when he said that he used to take care of the '99 liners, so I searched about âSeonghwaâ on TikTok and found out that heâs an ATEEZ member. I am very glad I opened my TikTok account last year and discovered them. Now, lifeâs a little better compared to before. I love them with all my heart, and I deeply treasure them. Now, every time I open my platforms, all I can see is ATEEZâs achievements. I am very proud of what they have become. I absolute admire their hard work and dedication. I would love to watch them succeed and achieve more in the coming years. I love them.
Iâm putting this out here because I want to be honest with you all. This has been on my mind countless times, and Iâve realized that I just donât have the capacity to write long fiction stories right now. While I have plenty of ideas, trying to piece together full plots is incredibly overwhelming. To be transparent, I have been struggling a lot with my mental health and depression, and it has completely disrupted my train of thought and creative process.
I am so incredibly sorry for making promises I canât keep right now, but I need to focus on healing and prioritize my well-being. Because of this, Iâve decided to move to a different Tumblr account so I can preserve this blog exactly as it is. If I do occasionally post short fics or one-shots when my mind allows it, those will be uploaded over on AO3 instead, keeping things completely low-pressure for a while.
Thank you all so much for your understanding, your patience, and your support over the months. It truly means the world to me. <3
