こんにちは! welcome [back] to my blog! ＃ here's some tips for male | transm, makeup wise! (fem + neu coming soon, although they'll mostly be the same besides the body and a few of the makeup tips.)
➜ makeup is more common for younger jp generations, so if you're older, skip the makeup section!
𔓘 body (not makeup, but it'll help!)
the body beauty standard for men in jpn is skinny with a bit of muscle. not overly buff, not overly skinny. of you're clean and tidy looking? bonus points. lots of men also prefer having no body hair besides their hair and eyebrows.
＃ start lightly working out. maybe about 10 minutes a day. not only is it good for you physically and mentally, it'll help you blend in way more, since jpn is one of those countries that prefer people on the smaller side.
＃ get waxed, lazer hair removal, or shave regularly. as i said in the blurbo above, the standard is 'tidy and clean', not to mention that it'll make you look younger.
𔓘 makeup
think of kp○p. or jp○p? i'm not sure, i'm not really into those. but they look young, and that's part of the standard. these makeup tips are approved by a male jp makeup artist (which is why eyes has a seperate section, because those are tips i've made). the original website is here. ❀
＃ first, use bb cream. if you can't find a shade you're sure of, use one slightly darker than your skin tone for a natural look (a pea sized amount is good, and remember to blend!)
＃ cover blemishes with concealer before applying bb cream, and blend them together! ^^
＃ you can fill in your eyebrows, too~
＃ (taken directly from the site) "take some dark brown eyeshadow on the applicator tip" [of the brush] "and blend it into the outer corners of your upper and lower eyes. this will create a natural shadow and make your eyes look wider."
𔓘 eyes
i know everyone says 'don't tape your eyes!!'.. and i agree. don't tape your eyes (unless you want a short term, fall apart quick fix), but i'll also provide a little drabble on how to cover the tape.
＃ a popular, easy, permanent solution: surgery
＃ you can listen to subliminals for jpn eyes! (monolids are cute, but the beauty standard is double lids. do with that what you will).
＃ do a tiny bit of eyeliner on the edge of your eye into a < shape (though thinner, and make it curve slightly downwards). i do that a lot, and it makes my eyes look like cisjpn!
＃ if you glue or tape, cover it with concealer (though i usually cover it with a thin layer of a sticky putty thing, blend it so it looks like its part of my skin, then apply makeup over it after.)

How did you transition mentally to Korean? I want to transition to German and I've been told you have to mentally transition before you can physically transition, is that true? I don't know how to mentally transition, any tips?
I don't know any tips for German but I have so many for my fellow Koreans!
