Pleasant Dreamer Pt. 2

Due to his breakup with Cassandra and a series of poor decisions, Darren's performance as an artist has suffered. With a teenager at home who loses every job he takes on and a lack of inspiration, Darren goes downtown at night to unwind with a drink.

Daniel still mad about his divorce, he can't believe he didn't get his way and that Mary was in love with her best friend all the time. Darren can only think about Cassandra and how he was demoted for that. They tried three places and this was the only one where they didn't throw food at Darren's head.

They spent the whole night wandering around and eating, and since they couldn't find a karaoke machine, they settled for dancing and ran into Daniel's brother-in-law, who made them uncomfortable with his dance moves.

When they said goodbye in the early hours, it seemed that Daniel's excitement at jumping into Darren's arms was enough for them both to fall in love. After an anward high five, each one returned to their home. This confused Darren even more; he couldn't believe he had fallen in love with Daniel Pleasant.

If there was one thing both agreed on that night, it was that they should get that karaoke machine.

Pleasant Dreamer

The new couple went to visit Pleasants tonight; they’ve always been close. Cassandra and Mary have been friends for a long time, and their partners have become friends as well. Dirk is taking the goth twin out tonight. But what seemed to be a lovely friendship soon grew more intimate between the two women. Cassandra and Mary revealed their true feelings. Mary knows what Daniel is doing with the maid when they’re alone, and she decides that this relationship can’t go on any longer. She doesn’t love that cheater, only her best friend.

While the family is going through a divorce and Daniel is moving on with his life, Darren isn't having an easy time of it either. The woman he's been dating and whom he idealizes, lost interest in him, and now he's confused and very angry, so all he can do is paint and deal with all of this later.

It's a very hard time; his decisions are taking their toll on him, and he can't even confide in the maid about his grief, he just needs Dreamer; his only friend right now.

Daniel prefers to keep his mind occupied by working out, while Darren hasn't picked up a dumbbell since Lucky Palms. Darren advises him to express his emotions on canvas, but Daniel doesn't see the point in scribbling out his sadness. Very different and stubborn in their own ways, they weather their heartbreak together until old age catches up.. or so it seems.
